Bizman shot dead over old enmity in Nalanda

Patna: A 28-year-old businessman was shot dead by assailants in Nagar Nausa area of Nalanda district late Friday night. The victim was identified as Kundan Kumar alias Kaila, son of Shailendra Prasad, a resident of Dibragarh village. Kundan was a property dealer and also used to run a local stationery shop, police said. According to the police, Kundan was sitting with his friends near the old police station after closing his shop when the incident occurred. Kundan succumbed to his injuries on the spot. Initial investigations revealed that the two or three assailants chased Kundan before shooting him twice in the ribcage. Police also discovered two more wounds on his abdomen, though it remains unclear whether these were caused by gunshots or stabbing, police said. SHO of Nagar Nausa police station, Pankaj Kumar Pawan, said, "The murder appears to be an outcome of previous disputes. The body was handed over to the family after the postmortem. Further action is being taken on the formal complaint filed by the deceased's family. Police are scanning CCTV footage from the area to identify the attackers. The deceased is survived by his parents, wife, and elder brother." The SHO further said an FIR has been registered against six named and several unidentified persons in connection with the murder. "Investigation revealed that a few months ago, the deceased's cousin brother was kidnapped and murdered, and the case is pending in court. The family suspected the involvement of the same accused in the killing of Kundan. Further investigation is ongoing in the matter," he added. Patna: The Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) is to officially notify the master plan for the Integrated Manufacturing City (IMC)-Gaya Ji as it was approved at the 3rd board meeting of Bihar Integrated Manufacturing City Gaya Limited (BIMCGL) held on Friday. The board reaffirmed its commitment to make Gaya Ji a world-class manufacturing hub. IMC Gaya Ji project is being developed under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC). Kundan Kumar, the managing director of BIADA and CEO of BIMCGL, said the project will play a pivotal role in developing Gaya Ji as a world-class industrial hub. "With high-quality infrastructure, an investment-friendly environment, and good governance, we aim to transform this region into a new centre for employment generation and economic growth," he said. Kundan said a significant milestone was achieved with the finalisation of the programme manager for new cities, who will play a crucial role in the on-ground implementation and coordination of the IMC Gaya Ji project. "This step is expected to accelerate execution and ensure adherence to project timelines," he added. Patna: In a major shift from the traditional 'first-come, first-served' system, Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) adopted a transparent and competitive auction model for allotment of land on Thursday. "This marks a transformative shift in how we approach industrial development in Bihar," said Kundan Kumar, MD of BIADA. One of the land bidders in BIADA's project clearance committee (PCC) meeting started the bid with Rs 36 lakh, which went up to Rs 55 lakh and finally settled at Rs 65 lakh for land allotment carried out through an open auction process for the first time ever. The healthy competition between investors highlighted the market's confidence and the effectiveness of BIADA's evolving approach, Kundan said. Kundan emphasised that this is just the beginning. 1 2 3 Ranchi: At least five people, including three women, were injured in the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, when a marriage "mandap" turned into a battleground over the serving of food.
