What is Supernova Gear in Fortnite and how to unlock It fast

Image via Epic Games Epic Games has unleashed a new set of powerful tools in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 3 - and they're already reshaping the battle royale meta. Dubbed Supernova Gear, this special loot set offers a mix of high-impact weapons and useful utilities, all tied into the ongoing quests and Hero Rank system. So what exactly is Supernova Gear, and where can players find it? What is Supernova Gear? Supernova Gear refers to a range of superhero-style equipment introduced in the "Super" themed season. These items are essential for completing specific in-game quests and give players a tactical edge, if they know how to use them. The current list of Supernova Gear includes: Killswitch Revolvers - High-damage pistols ideal for aggressive plays Myst Gauntlets - Energy gloves that deal solid damage and trigger certain quest conditions Tracking Visor - A utility tool that reveals enemy locations, but doesn't inflict damage Bass Boost - An item more suited for movement and structure control than fighting More gear, like the Surf Cube and Storm Beast's Pom Poms, are expected to be added as the season progresses. How to unlock Supernova Gear The most reliable way to collect Supernova Gear is by heading to the Supernova Academy, a new Point of Interest (POI) located in the northern half of the island. Inside, players will find Academy Stands and Hero Caches that dispense Supernova items. Fortnite Complete Supernova Academy Quests - How to EASILY Complete The Trials of Morgan Myst Quests For those at C-Rank or higher, the secret tech labs hidden in the basement of the Academy unlock, offering guaranteed access to more powerful gear. As players increase their Hero Rank by eliminating opponents and surviving storm circles, additional labs and Hero Caches become available across the map. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Play Chess on Your PC, Free Play Classic Chess Install Now Undo Supernova Gear can also appear as regular loot - in chests, on the ground, or after eliminating other players. Some NPCs even sell gear in exchange for gold bars, though this is less reliable. While items like the Myst Gauntlets are excellent for dealing damage, others such as the Tracking Visor and Bass Boost serve more supportive roles. To complete quests that require "damaging opponents within five seconds of using Supernova Gear," players can trigger a utility item first - like activating the Visor or using Bass Boost to close distance, and then quickly follow up with conventional weapons or damage-focused Supernova items. Timing is crucial, and combining gear effectively is the key to mastering this season's challenge-focused gameplay. Whether you're chasing wins or climbing ranks, Supernova Gear is a must-have this season. Also Read: How to find and defeat Kor in Fortnite

How to find and defeat Kor in Fortnite

Image via Epic Games Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 has introduced fresh challenges and content for fans, with one of the biggest highlights being the addition of boss fights. Among the new adversaries, Kor stands out as a tricky opponent who offers high-risk, high-reward gameplay. Defeating her not only tests your in-game strategy but also provides access to some of the best loot currently available. Where to find Kor in Fortnite Kor appears at Shogun's Arena, also referred to as Rift Island, a floating structure that spawns randomly after the second storm circle appears. The location is marked clearly on the in-game map, so players need to pay close attention to the storm phase. To reach the island, head toward any glowing Rift portals beneath the floating island and use them to zip up. Once you land on the island, move towards the central shrine structure where Kor can be found patrolling. What makes Kor dangerous Unlike standard NPCs, Kor is no ordinary boss. She is equipped with a set of difficult abilities that include teleportation, invisibility, and the ability to call in reinforcements when her health drops. While fighting, she uses a blue laser to lock onto players before striking, and her sudden invisibility bursts make it hard to keep track of her movements. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Đăng ký Undo As the battle intensifies, expect additional henchmen to appear, turning the fight into a chaotic multi-front showdown. Fortnite NEW Kor BOSS and How to get NEW MYTHIC Shrouded Striker Medallion, Kor's Deadeye DMR Tips to defeat Kor easily in Fortnite Aim for headshots - Critical hits will help bring her down faster. Use cover - Natural objects and shrine structures on the island can help you dodge attacks. Be patient - Kor often teleports and vanishes; don't rush, and wait for her to reappear. Clear reinforcements quickly - Letting henchmen pile up can lead to a quick defeat. Equip long-range weapons - This is especially useful when Kor teleports to high ground. Also, keep an eye out for third-party players who might try to steal the loot mid-fight. If you manage to defeat Kor, you'll be rewarded with two powerful items. The Shrouded Striker Medallion boosts your movement speed and gives partial invisibility while sprint-jumping, though it reveals your location on the map. The second reward is Kor's Deadeye DMR, a Mythic-tier weapon with higher damage output and better critical hit potential than its standard version. Whether you're in it for top-tier loot or just want to challenge yourself, the Kor boss fight is a must-try event in this season of Fortnite. Also Read: How to raise your Hero Rank in Fortnite

Tang Jie-Wen Tse smash their way to semis but all others falter in Taiwan

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia's hopes of fielding two mixed doubles pairs in the semi-finals of the Taiwan Open were dashed, with only Chen Tang Jie-Chan Wen Tse making the cut on Friday (May 9). The seventh seeds Tang Jie-Wen Tse overcame a shaky start before settling into their rhythm to outplay Indonesia's Bobby Setiabudi-Melati Oktavianti 22-20, 21-10 in just 28 minutes at the Taipei Arena. But there was disappointment for Toh Ee Wei-Loo Bing Kun, who failed to capitalise on a strong start against Indonesia's Dejan Ferdinansyah-Siti Fadia. The Malaysians edged their strong opponents in the opening game but could not maintain their momentum, eventually falling 22-20, 17-21, 12-21 in a gruelling 59-minute encounter. As Malaysia's sole representatives in the semi-finals on Saturday, Tang Jie-Wen Tse face a tough task against fourth seeds Jafar Hidayatullah-Felisha Pasaribu. The day had ended in heartbreak earlier for the country's two singles shuttlers, Justin Hoh and K. Letshanaa. Justin, who had impressed in his earlier rounds, found the going tough against home favourite Wang Tzu-Wei and bowed out 13-21, 15-21. Letshanaa's campaign also came to an end at the hands of second seed Sim Yu-jin. Although she fought hard and tried to take the match to a decider, she was unable to outplay Yu-jin and eventually went down 16-21, 21-13, 15-21. RESULTS Quarter-finals (Malaysians only) Men's singles: Wang Tzu-wei (Tpe) bt Justin Hoh 21-13, 21-15. Women's singles: Sim Yu-jin (Kor) bt K. Letshanaa 21-16, 13-21, 21-15. Mixed doubles: Chen Tang Jie-Chan Wen Tse bt Bobby Setiabudi-Melati Oktivianti (Ina) 22-20, 21-10; Dejan Ferdinansyah-Siti Fadia Ramadhanti (Ina) bt Loo Bing Kun-Toh Ee Wei 20-22, 21-17, 21-12. Second round Mixed doubles: Takumi Nomura-Yuichi Shimogami (Jpn) bt Chen Tang Jie-Wong Vin Sean 21-19, 21-18.
