AEW Collision Viewership Increases On 5/31, Demo Also Rises

AEW Collision saw an increase in viewership on May 31 when the show aired late on Saturday night following the NBA Playoffs. According to Wrestlenomics, Collision averaged 504,000 viewers on Saturday. The show drew a 0.18 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is up from last week's episode, when an average of 353,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also rose from last week's show (0.08 rating in the same demographic). Viewership for Saturday's show on MAX is also unknown at this time. What happened on AEW Collision this week? This week's show kicked off with Claudio Castagnoli defeating Komander to advance to the four-way for the International Championship on Dynamite. Advertisement In women's action, Mina Shirakawa defeated Skye Blue. Julia Hart attacked Shirakawa after the match, but Toni Storm made the save. Elsewhere on the show, Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada defeated Anthony Bowens in an Eliminator Match. In the main event of the evening, Mascara Dorada defeated Hechicero to claim the final spot in the four-way International Championship this week on Dynamite. AEW Announces Details For Debut In Mexico, Will Ospreay Reacts

Photo Credit: AEW Following a successful showing in Australia, Mexico is confirmed as the next stop in All Elite Wrestling's Grand Slam series. AEW made this announcement on Wednesday morning, with the likes of Komander, Kenny Omega, Hologram, Mistico, and Will Ospreay featured on an official event graphic. AEW Grand Slam: Mexico will emanate from Arena Mexico in Mexico City on Wednesday, June 18, airing live on TBS and Fox Sports Mexico. Max subscribers can also live stream the event. Tickets for the Grand Slam: Mexico will go on sale next Saturday, April 26 at 10 AM local time, courtesy and and Ticketmaster Mexico. Advertisement This comes as a collaboration between AEW and CMLL, the popular lucha libre promotion based in Mexico. For AEW, this will mark their first company event to ever be held in the country of Mexico. The same remains the case for Will Ospreay, who has especially been eager to perform in Arena Mexico. 'I have been waiting for this moment for so long!!!' Ospreay wrote on X (formerly Twitter) following the announcement. The Grand Slam television series began in Queens, New York in 2021. The city remained the sole destination for Grand Slam over the next three years. In February 2025, though, it branched out to the city of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, marking AEW's first ever show in the respective country. Now, Grand Slam will return to North America for its debut showing in Mexico. Komander and Hologram had been named the Lucha Stars, and the name was heavily criticized. Jose The Assisant, among others, openly voiced his opinion about it. However, AEW has now changed their name. Advertisement As seen in a promotional post for their match on AEW Collision, Komander and Hologram are now competing as Los Titanes del Aire. They are set to face The Beast Mortos and Dralistico of La Faccion Ingobernable. In a tweet, Jose The Assistant commented on the news and took credit for influencing the change.: Komander is the reigning ROH World Television Champion. Hologram had been sidelined for a few months due to injury, but he returned in February. The duo have joined forces recently, and they have been feuding with La Faccion Ingobernable. Mansoor hits AJ with a chop block, and TV nails him with a springboard kick. Harley Cameron fights off Valkyrie. AJ powerbombs TV. Mansoor drops him. Big Justice gets in the ring and powerbombs Mansoor. Madden kicks AJ and sets his sights on Big Justice. Briscoe nails him with a punch. Cassidy hits the Orange Punch, and they hit a triple Power-Boom for the win. Winners: 'Big Boom' AJ, Orange Cassidy, And Mark Briscoe The Murder Machines (Brian Cage and Lance Archer) come out, but Powerhouse Hobbs makes the save and drops Madden with a spinebuster.
