Bahraini Leaders Engage in Diplomatic and Cultural Initiatives

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on events that happened over the past 24 hours. According to Bahrain News Agency, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister actively engaged with the community by visiting Ramadan majlises across the Kingdom, highlighting his commitment to maintaining strong connections with citizens during the holy month. In diplomatic developments, the Interior Minister received the Hungarian Ambassador, while the National Guard Commander met with Pakistan's Air Staff Chief and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman, reinforcing Bahrain's international relations. Additionally, the Justice Minister held discussions with the Bangladeshi Ambassador, reflecting Bahrain's ongoing diplomatic engagements. Cultural and educational initiatives also took center stage. Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa honored winners of the third Ramadhan football and padel championship, while the HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Quran Award for women concluded, showcasing Bahrain's dedication to cu ltural and religious activities. The Education Minister met with both the RHF Secretary General and the Winners Football Club President to discuss educational advancements. The nation also celebrated Gulf Nursing Day, emphasiz ing the importance of healthcare professionals.

Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa Honours Winners of Third Ramadhan Football, Padel Championship

Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Director General of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, honoured the winning teams of the third Ramadhan football and padel championship. The event was organised by the directorate at Gravity courts and featured participation from employees, beneficiaries of the Alternative Sentencing Programme, and the Open Prisons Programme. According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid emphasised that the championship aligns with the directives of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior. The initiative aims to support the gradual reintegration of beneficiaries of the Alternative Sentencing and Open Prisons Programmes into society. He underscored the significance of this initiative in enhancing community security and extended his wishes for success to all participants.

Khalid bin Rashid Crowns Indonesia as ITF Tennis Championship Winners

TDT | Manama Email : editor@ Sheikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Tennis Federation, crowned Indonesia as the champions of the ITF World Tennis Championship U-14 Asian Qualifiers. The tournament concluded on Saturday at the Bahrain Tennis Federation courts at Polytechnic University in Isa Town. Indonesia secured the title after a commanding 2-0 victory over Sri Lanka in the final. Following the match, Sheikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa presented the trophies to both teams. Indonesia and Sri Lanka Secure Final Round Spots By reaching the final, both Indonesia and Sri Lanka have qualified for the final phase of the Asian qualifiers, which will take place in Malaysia in March. Lebanon Claims Third Place In the third-place match, Lebanon edged past the Philippines 2-1 in a tightly contested battle to secure the bronze medal. After the match, Lebanon was awarded their medals by Bahrain Tennis Federation board member Mohamed Salman, ITF West and Central Asia representative Amir Borghi, and tournament referee Nitian Kanamuar.
