June 20 (UPI) -- Actress Jessica Alba joins girl group Katseye in their new music video. Katseye released a single and video Friday for "Gabriela," which will appear on their upcoming EP, Beautiful Chaos, due June 27. The music video for the song shows Alba, 44, play the CEO of the fictional Gabriela Enterprises. She stands at the head of a conference table, with the members of Katseye in attendance. "I've built and sustained this empire over the last 20 years," Alba says before the music starts. "A miracle truly. No thanks to any of you. I would love to say that my legacy is in capable hands. But alas, the talent in this room is quite disappointing." "However, one of you must succeed me, and claim my name as the next CEO of Gabriela Enterprises," she continues. The members of Katseye -- Daniela, Manon, Lara, Megan, Sophia and Yoonchae -- then fight over who will replace Alba. Beautiful Chaos will mark the group's second EP. "We are so excited to invite you into this beautiful and chaotic world that we have built," the group captioned an Instagram post promoting the upcoming release. "Thank you for being here." Katseye is also set to take the stage during the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards Saturday.

Katseye drops telenovela-inspired 'Gabriela' MV starring Jessica Alba
Katseye showed off their range in their new single, "Gabriela." After the hyperpop song "Gnarly," the group came out with a Latin-flavored R&B pop track, which got a telenovela-inspired music video. The MV immediately introduced Jessica Alba as the founder and CEO of Gabriela Enterprises, who announces that she'll be stepping down and will need someone to succeed her. In the boardroom, Katseye members Sophia, Manon, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae fight over the position of "next Gabriela." Near the end of the MV, it's revealed that they're merely on set. The music video for Gabriela seems to have taken a page from telenovelas, with scenes of Katseye members fighting in evening gowns. Indian-origin pop star Lara Rajagopalan falsely reported to US immigration
Indian-American musician Lara Rajagopalan, a member of the global pop music group Katseye, was recently subjected to a false tip submitted to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). A screenshot of the anonymous tip submitted to ICE alleged that the teen musician lacked the proper authorisation to stay and work in the complainant was reportedly a K-Pop fan. "There is an illegal alien in LA known by the name Lara Rajagopalan; she has not obtained the necessary visa or legal status required to remain in the US and appears to be working and residing in the United States without legal authorisation," the reported summary on the "criminal activity" form reported to the authorities, Rajagopalan is a US citizen. The musician also faced hate posts and comments online.
