Nothing Headphone 1 to launch in India on July 1, its sound will be tuned by premium audio company KEF
On July 1, Nothing is launching its Phone 3 in India. Now the company has confirmed that it will also be launching the Headphone 1, its first full-size headphones, in India on the same day. The design also hints that the Headphone 1 is going to be a premium set of cans, with the headband using some metal and lots of padding. Along with the design, which has now come to light, we already know that the Headphone 1 will have its sound tuned by KEF. Now, KEF is a brand solely focussed on extremely high-end audio products. While its specialisation is in speakers, the brand also sells a headphone — KEF MU 7 — that is priced around $400. So, it is expected that the Headphone 1 may offer the kind of sound that punches above its weight and price point. advertisementAlthough more details about the Nothing Headphone 1 will become clear in the coming days, or on July 1, there is an indication that with its headphones, the company is taking an aim at the likes of Sony and Bose, which sell highly-regarded full-size wireless headphones. And, just like it does in the phone market, Nothing may possibly try to undercut the audio giants in pricing with the Headphone 1. This means it may come in around Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000. Along with the Headphone 1, Nothing is also launching the Phone 3 on July 1. The phone, which Nothing is calling its 'true flagship', is going to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. Compared to the Phone 2, it is also expected to feature a revamped camera system as well as other key improvements in areas like screen and sound system. It is expected that the Nothing Phone 3 may get a price of around Rs 60,000 in India.

The Equal Leaks Telegram account posted three apparent Nothing Headphone 1 renders today. These images show a rather peculiar pair of headphones, featuring a two-step design of sorts. The pictures show a rectangular-shaped base with rounded corners. Meanwhile, a transparent oval island atop the base connects to the headband. This island also seems reminiscent of a cassette tape. Want a real-world look at the new headphones? Well, the Nothing Fan Club Instagram account has just posted five images purportedly showing the Nothing Headphone 1. You can view these pictures below. These real-world images also feature 'sound by KEF' on one of the headphones. KEF is an audio brand that specializes in speakers but also dabbles in headphones. In fact, the two companies actually announced a partnership last month, while also confirming that several 'acoustically co-developed products' were in the pipeline. It seems like the Headphone 1 could be the first product as part of this tie-up, then. We'd caution you to take these leaks with a major helping of salt, though, as we're not familiar with these sources at all. Nevertheless, if this design is confirmed, the Nothing Headphone 1 would certainly stand out from other headphones on the market. This isn't the only leak we've seen regarding Nothing's headphones. The Nothing Ear (1) was the brand's first ever product, and Nothing is going back to its roots with its first attempt at over-the-ear headphones. The aptly named Headphone (1) are launching alongside the Phone (3) on July 1 and we now have our first live look thanks to a series of live images. Nothing Headphone (1) ear cup design You'd be hard pressed to mistake the Headphone (1) for any other brand's headphones. They feature the signature transparent design elements on the outside of the ear cups and Nothing branding. We can see that Headphones (1) will be available in black and white colors. Nothing Headphone (1) in white and black The earcups feature a two-part design with the base appearing to be made from metal while the top half is made from plastic and looks like a cassette tape. We can also spot three buttons - two on the side and one on the outside of the ear cup. While these are wireless headphones, one of the images shows them connected with a 3.5mm audio jack so that will also be an option. Nothing Headphone (1) will support wired connections The close-up shots of the headband show no folding hinges. Specifically, the Eurozone. If you live there you are surely used to a price like $299 magically transforming into €399 or even €449, so you may have been expecting something similar here. But according to a new rumor, you'd be wrong. The Nothing Headphone (1) will allegedly go for €299. In the UK, it will be £299, and in the US this new source claims it will actually be $309, $10 more than what the last leak said. The device will apparently be available in white and black in Europe and the UK, and in grey and black in the US.
