Telangana CM Revanth vows to make facts public on KLIS after KCR's deposition
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday stated he would make public all facts on the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme within two days. 'Now that KCR (former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao) has appeared before Justice PC Ghose Commission to present his views, I would soon hold a press conference to place the facts before the public,' Revanth told reporters during an informal interaction in Delhi. The chief minister also rejected reports of a discussion with the Congress high command regarding allocation of portfolios to the newly inducted ministers. 'Without the PCC chief, deputy chief minister and other senior leaders in Delhi, how can such discussions happen?' he asked. Revanth made it clear that if any minister claimed to be overburdened with work, his portfolios would be reallocated. He stated that the purpose of his Delhi visit was to explain Telangana's caste survey model to Karnataka's chief minister and deputy chief minister. 'AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi also attended the meeting,' Revanth pointed out. Asked about the recent Cabinet expansion, he stated that social justice has been followed, with 55% of posts allotted to SC, ST and BC communities. He pointed out that KCR, during his second term, did not induct his own son into the Cabinet for six months, whereas the present government had already appointed 15 ministers including the new appointees.

KCR to appear before Ghose panel today
Hyderabad: In a major development in the ongoing investigation into the Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Project, former chief minister and BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao is scheduled to appear before the Justice PC Ghose Commission on Wednesday. Ahead of his deposition, KCR held a crucial meeting on Tuesday with former irrigation minister T Harish Rao at his Erravalli farmhouse. According to sources, Harish Rao—who appeared before the commission on June 9—engaged in a five-hour discussion with KCR on Monday to brief him on the commission's inquiries and to strategise appropriate responses. The two leaders met again on Tuesday to further deliberate on key issues expected to be raised during the hearing, fine-tune their replies, and chart both legal and political strategies. Reports suggest that the discussions also included a review of alleged deficiencies flagged in the vigilance and National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) reports related to the project's key barrages—Medigadda, Annaram, and Sundilla. The meeting has assumed considerable political significance, especially with former minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy also attending. Eatala blows the gaff on 3 barrages; pins blame on Harish Rao for fiasco
Hyderabad: BJP MP and former minister in BRS government Eatala Rajendar spilled the beans before Justice PC Ghose Commission inquiring into the Kaleshwaram project on Friday. The BJP MP told the commission that the three barrages – Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla were constructed only after the approval of CWC and Technical Committee and as per the recommendations of Cabinet Sub Committee headed by the then Irrigation minister T Harish Rao. Former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was the brain behind the Kaleshwaram, the former minister said, adding that the Maharashtra government had opposed the Tummidihatti barrage, and hence the then government took up Medigadda. Before the start of open court, the Commission took oath from Rajender that he will tell only the truth. During the 40-minute quizzing, the commission posed a volley of questions to the MP. Rajender replied that the cabinet has taken a decision on Kaleshwaram only on the basis of sub-committee and technical team reports. The construction of the three barrages was started after the cabinet gave its nod. He informed that after Maharashtra objected, the then CM KCR formed a sub-committee. Harish Rao was the chairman of the sub-committee, and himself and Tummala Nageswara Rao were members. The redesign was done as per the decision of the expert committee, technical committee and sub-committee. The technical committee gave many reports. Finally, the cabinet took the decision to build the three barrages. Rajendar clarified that he was not aware of the payment of Rs 59 crore to an agency for the preparation of DPR. The cabinet gave all approvals on Kaleshwaram and Corporation was also floated to raise funds for project construction. The previous government planned to borrow funds from the corporation and repay the loans. But, the funds were not collected by the corporation. However, all the funds for the project were released from the corporation and the role of the Finance department was nothing in the entire episode. The former Finance minister also said that the irrigation department was given the powers to borrow and pay the funds.

BRS MLC K Kavitha takes part in Dharna against notices issued to former Telangana CM KCR over irregularities in Kaleshwaram project
Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], June 4 (ANI): Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Wednesday took part in the Telangana Jagruthi Maha Dharna against the notices issued to BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao by the Justice PC Ghose Commission probing the alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project. 'The notices given to KCR garu are nothing but political notices to smear his name. My only demand is that the water of the Godavari River should be protected, and Telangana should get 1000 TMC of water. CM Revanth Reddy should write to the Central government immediately to stop the Banakacherla project by the Andhra Pradesh government,' Kalvakuntla Kavitha told mediapersons. Earlier on May 21, Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi MLC K Kavitha criticised the PC Ghose Commission for summoning former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in a probe related to irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project during the BRS regime. In a post on X, Kavitha emphasised that Kaleshwaram was built for the welfare of farmers and asserted that it is part of a 'calculated political conspiracy' against KCR. 'The notices to KCR Garu over the Kaleshwaram project are part of a calculated political conspiracy to tarnish the image of a true people's leader. Kaleshwaram was built for the welfare of farmers and future generations, not for politics. Today, this inefficient Congress government is undoing the very progress Telangana fought for,' Kavitha said. The BRS MLC further highlighted that KCR has devoted his life to Telangana and the transformation of barren lands into fields of prosperity and is now being targeted by the 'visionless' regime. 'KCR Garu, who has devoted his life to Telangana, transforming barren lands into fields of prosperity, is now being targeted by a visionless regime. No vindictive Government can diminish his legacy. The truth will prevail, and history will remember who stood for the people and who tried to bring them down,' K Kavitha said. Earlier, the Justice PC Ghose Commission issued summons to former Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), former Minister Harish Rao, and BJP MP Etela Rajender, who also served as a minister during the BRS regime in the ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP). The Commission, which has been probing financial and procedural lapses in the multi-crore irrigation project, directed the three political leaders to appear for questioning in the first week of June. According to the sources, KCR was asked to appear before the Commission on June 5, followed by Harish Rao on June 6 and Etela Rajender on June 9. (ANI)

Kavitha to stage protest at Indira Chowk over notices to KCR in Kaleshwaram probe today
Protesting against the notices issued to BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao by the Justice PC Ghose Commission probing alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS), BRS MLC and Telangana Jagruthi chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha will stage a maha dharna at Dharna Chowk, Indira Park, on Wednesday (June 4). The dharna, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., will witness participation from KCR followers and members of the Telangana Jagruthi, according to a statement. Irrigation and agriculture experts will speak on the benefits of the KLIS and expose the alleged 'vicious politics' by the ruling party during the protest.
