Jurassic World Rebirth Will Honor The Series' Canon So Far, And New Franchise Details Make Me Hopeful The Video Games Will Be Part Of That Promise
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. We're mere weeks away from a new Jurassic World movie heading into theaters, and I'm still in awe that we've reached this point. As the 2025 movie schedule promises mutant dinosaur mayhem, there's another title arriving later this year that's going to help branch out the story inspired by Michael Crichton's legendary 1990 novel. Since the ties between past and future Jurassic canon are stronger than ever, I really hope that a new video game could help shape the future of Universal's legacy franchise. That desire is especially strong considering what we know about Jurassic World Rebirth feels tailor-made to lock into a brand-new video game on the way. Publisher Frontier Developments released both the Announcement and Gameplay trailers for Jurassic World Evolution 3. The third outing in the long running park simulator series, players will be pushing their abilities to the limit with a lot of new features. You can thank a new organization introduced in this adventure for being able to grow your own baby dinosaur, the Dinosaur Integration Network (also known as D.I.N.) But as you can see in the Gameplay trailer for the latest Jurassic World video game, it's not all petting zoos and the return of Jeff Goldblum's Dr. Ian Malcolm: While they aren't named, this new activist group wants to disrupt D.I.N.'s 'groundbreaking sustainable breeding programs,' which it offers to park owners around the world. Some of you deep cut Jurassic World fans are probably ready to run to your Netflix subscription after reading that last bit, and I can't blame you. Seeing as those themes have been presented in the animated series Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, this feels like it could be another knot that ties the characters of that animated series in with the live-action adventures. That very scenario is what has me thinking about how Jurassic World Rebirth might be able to take advantage of this digital extension of this cautionary tale in playing God. As stated in Jurassic World Rebirth writer David Koepp's previous remarks, the canon that currently exists isn't going to be altered in the Scarlett Johansson-led ensemble legacy-quel. Seeing as Evolution 3's gameplay takes place in a post-Dominion timeframe, but presumably before Rebirth's mass dinosaur deaths, this is something that could be useful to the series overall. If there are sequels to this seventh Jurassic adventure, then there's a chance that this unnamed activist collective could try to sabotage the work that Parker-Genix Pharmaceutical Engineering is trying to achieve. Perhaps Jurassic World Rebirth will see that sort of sabotage coming from a member of the team assembled by Johansson's Zora Bennett? Or, if the film canon won't touch this new information from Jurassic World Evolution 3, then perhaps the animated TV series will. As we saw in Jurassic World: Chaos Theory's first trailer, executive producer Scott Kreamer's follow-up to Camp Cretaceous has been playing out in a timeline shortly before/during Dominion's events. Now seeing as the Camp Fam has been getting involved in their own activist activities against Soyona Santos (Dichen Lachman) and the forces of BioSyn, it'd be very easy to tie that series into Evolution 3's events. Plus, since Kreamer admitted in a previous interview with CinemaBlend that there have been some early thoughts on a new series taking place closer to Jurassic World Rebirth, this rogue organization could be connected to the people Brooklynn (Kiersten Kelly) and Ben Pinkus (Sean Giambrone) have been running with on the dark web. Of course, this is all massive speculation for the moment. But what I do know is that Jurassic World Rebirth hits theaters on July 3rd, in all of its explosive cinematic glory! For those of you looking to build a petting zoo of your own, Jurassic World Evolution 3 hits shelves on October 21st. How these two titles will connect is something that life, and time, will find a way to explain.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 lets you breed dinosaurs and it's out this year
A new entry in the Jurassic World Evolution series has been announced, with baby dinosaurs and the return of Jeff Goldblum. While there have been plenty of games based on Jurassic Park over the years, the best is easily its translation into a management sim in Jurassic World Evolution 2. Developed by Frontier, the series is basically RollerCoaster Tycoon spun through a Jurassic Park lens, where you have to build a park and keep profits ticking over, while managing the satisfaction of customers and the dinosaurs themselves. During Summer Game Fest, Frontier announced a third entry in the series, and the key hook this time around is the ability to breed and nurture baby dinosaurs. As shown in the trailer, Jurassic World Evolution 3 boasts a new breeding system which allows you to house families of dinosaurs within your park. There are over 80 dinosaur species in the sequel, 75 of which players can breed. The sequel promises a new globe-trotting campaign, with maps spanning from Japan to Hawaii. Jeff Goldblum reprises his role as Dr Ian Malcolm too, after lending his voice to the prior two instalments. There's no word though on whether anyone else from the franchise will return. As noted in a press release, Jurassic World Evolution 3 features expanded customisation for your parks, with new terrain tools to create mountain peaks and canyons, while texture brushes can help you add extra detail to landscapes. Sign up to the GameCentral newsletter for a unique take on the week in gaming, alongside the latest reviews and more. Delivered to your inbox every Saturday morning. For the first time in the series, you can share your parks, dinosaur enclosures, and scenery creations with others via the cross-platform Frontier Workshop. More Trending Jurassic World Evolution 3 is set to launch on October 21 across PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S for £49.99. A deluxe edition, which includes four extra dinosaurs (Protoceratops, Guanlong, Thanatosdrakon, and Concavenator), scenery items, and exclusive ATV vehicle skins, will be available for £64.99. If you pre-order the sequel, players will receive a Badlands set at launch which includes scenery items inspired by the original Jurassic Park's dig site, along with scenery blueprints from the Montana Badlands, and a Badlands ATV skin for the maintenance crew. This isn't the only Jurassic Park game in development, with Jurassic Park: Survival also in the works at Saber Interactive. A new film, titled Jurassic World: Rebirth, is set to hit cinemas on July 2, 2025. Email gamecentral@ leave a comment below, follow us on Twitter. Jurassic World Evolution 3 Trailer Leaks And Reveals Fan-Requested Baby Dinos
Jurassic World Evolution 3 is real and launching later this year, according to a newly leaked trailer which also reveals that baby dinosaurs and more fan-requested features are arriving in the anticipated prehistoric theme park simulator sequel. On June 6, Jurassic Addict on Twitter spotted and shared images and details from what appears to be a story that accidentally went live on German gaming site GameStar. The story leaked that Jurassic World Evolution 3 will be launching on October 21, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Oddly, no Switch 2 port. The upcoming game is likely to be officially revealed during Summer Game Fest. Also included in the leaked story was a trailer which has since been pulled from GameStar's site but has already been uploaded to many places online by fans. Here's a YouTube version that might be ripped down by the time you read this: And no, your internet connection isn't crappy. The quality of the leaked trailer is really bad. Still, this trailer provides us with our first look at baby dinos, a highly requested feature that wasn't in the first two Jurassic World Evolution games. Jurassic World fans are already digging through the low-quality trailer to spot new features and additions. As mentioned already, baby dinos are now a part of the game. But fans have also spotted improved and advanced terrain tools, new vehicles to drive around in, more customization options, new behaviors, the ability for flying dinosaurs to walk around on the ground, and new ways to tweak your genetically altered dinosaurs before they hatch. As a big fan of Frontier Development's Jurassic World Evolution 2 (and its predecessor), I'm excited that we're getting a new game later this year, and just a few months after Jurassic World Rebirth hits theaters in July. Hopefully, you'll be able to create a wild-looking D-Rex in the game. . For the latest news, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
