According to Sabah Information Department (JaPen) Senior Assistant Director Peter Tong Ah Pin, the programme, held in collaboration with the State Development Office (ICU JPM), provided a casual, face-to-face platform for gig workers to engage directly with Federal agencies. Advertisement A total of 33 e-hailing gig workers attended the session on Tuesday, where they were briefed on the I-Saraan contribution scheme by the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and the Penjana Gig Programme by the Social Security Organisation (Perkeso). A dialogue was also held with the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and the National Security Council (MKN) focusing on social safety for gig workers.
