Nothing Headphone 1 images leak, showing a retro-futuristic cassette-inspired look

TL;DR Renders and real-world images of the apparent Nothing Headphone 1 have appeared online. The pictures show a pair of headphones with a transparent design and a curious shape. Nothing is gearing up to launch its first pair of over-ear headphones on July 1, called the Nothing Headphone 1. The company has kept this design firmly under wraps, but it looks like two sources have given us our first look. The Equal Leaks Telegram account posted three apparent Nothing Headphone 1 renders today. These images show a rather peculiar pair of headphones, featuring a two-step design of sorts. The pictures show a rectangular-shaped base with rounded corners. Meanwhile, a transparent oval island atop the base connects to the headband. This island also seems reminiscent of a cassette tape. Want a real-world look at the new headphones? Well, the Nothing Fan Club Instagram account has just posted five images purportedly showing the Nothing Headphone 1. You can view these pictures below. These real-world images also feature 'sound by KEF' on one of the headphones. KEF is an audio brand that specializes in speakers but also dabbles in headphones. In fact, the two companies actually announced a partnership last month, while also confirming that several 'acoustically co-developed products' were in the pipeline. It seems like the Headphone 1 could be the first product as part of this tie-up, then. We'd caution you to take these leaks with a major helping of salt, though, as we're not familiar with these sources at all. Nevertheless, if this design is confirmed, the Nothing Headphone 1 would certainly stand out from other headphones on the market. This isn't the only leak we've seen regarding Nothing's headphones. A trusted outlet reported earlier this week that the Nothing Headphone 1 will cost $309 in the US, €299 in Europe, and £299 in the UK. Got a tip? Talk to us! Nothing Headphone (1) leaks in set of live images

The Nothing Ear (1) was the brand's first ever product, and Nothing is going back to its roots with its first attempt at over-the-ear headphones. The aptly named Headphone (1) are launching alongside the Phone (3) on July 1 and we now have our first live look thanks to a series of live images. Nothing Headphone (1) ear cup design You'd be hard pressed to mistake the Headphone (1) for any other brand's headphones. They feature the signature transparent design elements on the outside of the ear cups and Nothing branding. We can see that Headphones (1) will be available in black and white colors. Nothing Headphone (1) in white and black The earcups feature a two-part design with the base appearing to be made from metal while the top half is made from plastic and looks like a cassette tape. We can also spot three buttons - two on the side and one on the outside of the ear cup. While these are wireless headphones, one of the images shows them connected with a 3.5mm audio jack so that will also be an option. Nothing Headphone (1) will support wired connections The close-up shots of the headband show no folding hinges. Nothing already confirmed that Headphone (1) were co-developed with British audio brand KEF. They are rumored to cost $309/ €299/£299. Source

Nothing Phone 3's unique Glyph Matrix is a light show I can't wait to see

The Nothing Phone 3 teasers continue to flow, and we've just been given a sneak peek at a unique feature the firm's upcoming flagship handset will be packing. Nothing posted an update announcing a new feature called 'Glyph Matrix' and confirming it will feature on the Nothing Phone 3, which will be announced on July 1. Recommended Videos A short five second video was included in the post, showing a series of dot-matrix style lights illuminating in different patterns in the top corner of a handset. Taking a closer look at the device in the video, you can see the power switch is on the left, and what appears to be volume keys on the right. The placements of these buttons suggest we're looking at the rear of the Nothing Phone 3, so this isn't an animation which is playing on the front screen of the device. When light becomes language. Introducing the Glyph Matrix. Phone (3). 1 July. — Nothing (@nothing) June 19, 2025 It's not clear from the short video whether the Glyph Matrix is a series of individual LED lights, or a small, dedicated display on the back of the phone. A standalone display would be more power hungry and a series of LEDs, so I'd lean on this not being a screen – but we won't know for sure until the July 1. Sign me up However it's been engineered, the Glyph Matrix looks set to offer something truly different in the smartphone world where minimalist slabs of glass and metal have become the norm. The Glyph Matrix reveal isn't all that surprising, after Nothing declared the death of its Glyph Interface (the lights on the rear of its current handsets) towards the end of May, while it changed its profile image to the logo you see in the video above on June 4. While there is a certain element of gimmick surrounding this novel feature, I welcome it with open arms, as Nothing continues to deliver on its promise of designing products which don't follow the crowd. In the past Nothing has posted teasing Pokémon images, as it uses the pocket monsters as codenames for its upcoming devices. I mention it because the the Pokémon are displayed in a dot-matrix style. If I can get my favorite Pokémon to show on the Glyph Matrix I'd be over the moon for teenage me. It's geeky and gimmicky, but I love the idea and I can't wait to see how it works (and if Pokémon are possible). Tactile textures And that's not all. Just a day before the Glyph Matrix drop, Nothing gave us another look at a small feature detail for the Phone 3, posting its third design teaser. This time it appears to show a dimpled pattern on a circular pad. I'd guess this is like located somewhere on the rear of the phone, but it's difficult to tell with the limited information provided. This is just the latest in a long line of information Nothing has drip-feeding us in the run up to its July 1 launch event. Earlier this week we found out the Nothing Phone 3 will come with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, providing users with five years of major Android OS updates and seven years of security updates. And before this week, Nothing co-founder and CEO Carl Pei declared the Phone 3 is the company's 'first true flagship' and revealed it will retail for around £800 – with rumors suggesting the price in the US will be around $799. Nothing has also confirmed the Phone 3 will be available via Amazon, as well as its own website, for US buyers. With less than two weeks to go before all is revealed, there's not long for us to wait to find out all about the Glyph Matrix.

Nothing Phone (3) may debut with a "flagship" chip – just not the flagship-est one

The Nothing Phone (3) is getting ready to show itself on July 1, but not a lot of stones have been left unturned, thanks to leaks. Now, a new leak claims to give us the chip that is going to power Nothing's first 'flagship' phone, and it may turn out the Phone (3) is not the most flagshippy of flagships. Tipster Yogesh Brar has now shared on X that the Nothing Phone (3) may be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. The processor of the phone was rumored to be either this one, or the Elite (found in the Galaxy S25 Ultra), but this new leak puts more weight on the weaker processor. Nothing Phone 3 powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen on it? And What do you want to know next?? — Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) June 17, 2025 The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is not a slow processor, per se. It's still flagship-grade, fast, and capable, but it has certain compromises made compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The 8s Gen 4 has a CPU with one Cortex-X4 (3.2GHz) core, three Cortex-A720 cores at 3GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores at 2.8GHz, and two Cortex-A720 cores at 2GHz. As you can see, this chip has no little cores, and it doesn't use Qualcomm's powerful Oryon CPU cores, so it may be slower than the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The new processor also features an Adreno GPU with the new architecture that debuted on the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This new architecture uses two slices instead of three. It also features an NPU (Neural Processing Unit, mainly used for AI tasks) that should be 44% faster than the one in 8s Gen 3. But, despite these improvements over its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is still not the best Qualcomm is capable of. It lags behind the Snapdragon 8 Elite by not supporting 8K video recording, things like 4K/120fps slow-motion capture, and mmWave 5G. So, it's likely the Nothing Phone (3) won't have these features, if the rumor about the chip is accurate. Obviously, these features are not entirely must-haves, but it does show that Nothing's first flagship may not be on the level with the beastiest of flagships on the market, such as the Galaxy S25 or the iPhone 16.
