Robert Irwin's reaction to co-host Julia Morris' Gold Logie nomination after he is snubbed from category
Robert Irwin has rushed to congratulate his I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! co-host Julia Morris after the TV veteran scored a Gold Logie nomination this week. Both were nominated for the coveted award in 2024, but Robert missed out this year. Julia, 57, gushed over Robert's reaction during an appearance on Nova's Fitzy, Wippa and Kate Ritchie program on Tuesday. The veteran comedian, who celebrates 40 years on Australian TV this year, said that he called her on Monday to tell her that the nomination was 'fantastic' and 'well deserved'. 'He does not miss a trick, Robert,' she said during the segment, in which she could barely contain her excitement over the news. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'My God, what a magnificent human, well we already know he's a magnificent human...' Julia also shared details about Robert's emotional phone call. 'He was just like ''This is unreal... this is fantastic, and you deserve it" and he's an incredibly generous man on so many levels. So yeah, getting to share this experience of the jungle with him has been amazing.' Elsewhere in the chat, Julia made reference to her roots in Gosford on the Central Coast of NSW. 'Gosford has never been prouder,' Julia said, adding that this is fourth time she has been up for prestigious TV gong. Meanwhile, co-host Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald suggested that Julia could enlist Robert to help raise some votes for the prize. 'We love this man. Is there any chance that you can use the 58 million followers that he has on social media to help with your campaign Julia?' 'Yes! It should be called let's get Coastal Grandma all the way to the finish line,' she replied. Robert's warm response to Julia's news comes after the fan favourite was nominated for a Gold Logie in 2024, after joining I'm a Celebrity... as co-host the same year. Meanwhile, Home and Away favourite Lynne McGranger, 72, who played Irene Roberts on the soap opera Home and Away for over 33 years, finally scored a Gold Logie nomination. Also nominated for TV top prize is A Current Affair's Ally Langdon, 46, who won Best News or Public Affairs Presenter last year. Two-time winner Hamish Blake, 43, is in the draw again for the Gold Logie, having won it back in 2022 for Lego Masters and in 2012 for Hamish and Andy's Gap Year. Former ABC News Breakfast presenter Lisa Millar, 56, is also in the running for the top prize for her work on Backroads and Muster Dogs. Also in the running is MasterChef Australia's Poh Ling Yeow, 51, who has recently been plagued with speculation that she may be stepping back from the beloved cooking show. And rounding the nominees is Dancing With The Stars' Sonia Kruger, 59, is up for the number one gong again after nabbing a Gold Logie back in 2023. The 65th TV WEEK Logie Awards nominees were announced on Monday in the Yallamundi Rooms at the Sydney Opera House, highlighting the very best of TV talent in Australia. Voting will open for all awards from 9am on Monday June 16 and remain open until 7pm on Friday August 1. The ceremony will be available to watch on Seven and 7Plus.

Six women are up for the Gold Logie
There have been some far-fetched Gold Logie pitches over the years - but this is an entirely new one. The 2025 field for the coveted prize has been revealed, and it's dominated by women, up against only one man, Hamish Blake. The Lego Masters host says he doesn't want to win, as victory would be a PR disaster. "It would not be a great look if I won, so figure out your favourite lady and get right behind her," he said. Could this finally be the year for Ten's I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! host Julia Morris? Or will Seven's Sonia Kruger add to her Logies haul? These hosts are vying for television glory against the ABC's Lisa Millar, Lynne McGranger from Home and Away, MasterChef Australia's Poh Ling Yeow, and A Current Affair host Ally Langdon. At the announcement of the nominees at the Sydney Opera House on Monday, presenter Tara Rushton momentarily forgot to name the final nominee Sonia Kruger, who was waiting in the wings to be called to the stage. "I am never going to live this down. I'm surrounded by my idols," said Rushton, apologising. A new award named for five-time Gold Logie winner Ray Martin will be presented in 2025 - The Ray Martin Award for Most Popular News or Public Affairs Reporter. The nominees are Nine's Ally Langdon, Tara Brown, and Peter Overton, the ABC's David Speers and Sarah Ferguson, and Seven's Michael Usher. The ABC has received dozens of nominations, including for comedian Guy Montgomery for most popular new talent. Two-time Logie winner, the children's cartoon Bluey is up for another award for best children's program. Netflix show Apple Cider Vinegar, which tells the story of conwoman Belle Gibson, received a massive eight nominations. Voting for the popular awards opened on Monday, with the ballot for the Gold Logie remaining open during the awards presentation itself. The Logies will be held at The Star Sydney and broadcast live on Seven on Sunday August 3. The 2025 Logie nominations have been revealed
The full list of nominees for the 65th TV Week Logie Awards has been revealed, and an exciting new category has been announced. Among those vying for the night's top accolade, the coveted Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television, are Home and Away star Lynne McGranger and television host Sonia Kruger, known for fronting The Voice and Dancing with the Stars. Julia Morris and Hamish Blake have also been nominated for the title alongside some other first-time nominees, including Ally Langdon, Lisa Millar, and Poh Ling Yeow. 'Looking at the list of nominations, it's always thrilling to see the diverse range of Australian stories being told on our screens,' TV Week's Editorial Director Amber Giles said. 'It's especially pleasing to see the breadth of original Australian content on both free-to-air and streaming services. If you see a show or star on the list that you've watched and enjoyed, then don't be shy – get voting.' The nominees for the 65th TV WEEK Logie Awards were revealed on Monday morning at the Sydney Opera House ahead of the awards ceremony that will be held at The Star in Sydney on August 3. McGranger, who concluded her nearly 33-year run as Irene on Home and Away earlier in 2025, is the only Gold Logie nominee who will not be attending the event, as she is currently overseas. The Logies has also introduced the Ray Martin Award for Most Popular News or Public Affairs Reporter, which will sit alongside the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent and the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter.
