Cynthia Nixon on Miranda's new ‘wonderful' And Just Like That romance

Cynthia Nixon, who portrays Miranda in And Just Like That, has shared her thoughts on her character's new love interest, Joy (Dolly Wells), in the third season. Miranda, now a single queer woman in New York, grows closer to Joy, a BBC producer, following an accidental on-air profanity. Nixon stated that Joy serves as an antidote to Miranda's tendency to catastrophise, similar to her ex-husband Steve Brady, but in a distinct manner. The actor mentioned that Season 3 provided a 'breather' for Miranda's storyline after the intense experiences of coming out and heartbreak in the first two seasons. The Independent 's review of Season 3 gave it three stars, noting the writing was 'clunky' but suggesting the series is beginning to find its rhythm for dedicated fans.

50 Cent Questions If Ex Daphne Joy Is 'Jane Doe' In Diddy Sex Trafficking Trial

50 Cent's latest troll involves the Queens rapper sarcastically questioning who the 'Jane Doe' currently testifying in Sean 'Diddy' Combs' sex trafficking trial is, as many suspect that it is 50's youngest son's mother, Daphne Joy. The 'Many Men' rapper, born Curtis Jackson, took to his Instagram page early Friday (June 6) morning with the post featuring a selfie of Joy and a courtroom sketch captioned, 'Hey does anyone know who Jane doe is I'm trying to research for the Diddy doc,' followed by a wide-eyed emoji. He continued, 'man this stuff with Elon and Trump crazy,' referring to the current rift between the Tesla founder and the POTUS. The post has since been deleted from 50 Cent's page, but a screenshot was captured by several outlets, including TNT. See the post in question below. Another post that is still up on his page features a snap of 50 and his son, Sire, giving someone off-camera the side-eye alongside caption, 'WTF !' Jackson's post comes as 'Jane' testifies in Diddy's sex trafficking trial, as the unidentified woman took to the stand Thursday (June 5) and Friday (June 6) to speak on her relationship with the Bad Boy founder. According to her testimony, she dated Diddy from 2021 until his 2024 arrest. She also testified that she and Diddy discussed the fact that her child's father and Combs don't get along. Considering the timeline and 50's known disdain for Diddy, many suspect Joy to be the 'Jane Doe' on the stand. Prior to dating Diddy, Joy dated 50 cent from 2011 to 2012, breaking up shortly after Sire's birth in September of 2012. Joy also dated singer Jason Derulo from November 2015 to May 2016. Jackson recently reacted to Cam'ron asking a male sex worker who testified against Diddy if he'd ever been intimate with Joy. While the sex worker, who goes by The Punisher, denied ever having been with Joy, 50 still felt the need to chime in with a reference to Diddy's alleged urine fetish. 'Well here come the bullsh*t,' he captioned a clip from Cam'ron's interview, adding, 'Don't kiss my boy Pee Pee Mouth.' Shaniqua Tompkins, Mother Of 50 Cent's Eldest Son, Alleges Rapper 'Beat Up' Daphne Joy

Amid Sean 'Diddy' Combs' ongoing sex trafficking trial, 50 Cent's relentless commentary about court proceedings and testimonies has drummed up controversy about himself. Shaniqua Tompkins, the mother of Fif's eldest son, Marquise Jackson, recently alleged the rapper has 'beat up' Daphne Joy and also shared details about a domestic violence case that was being built against him. Tompkins took her sentiments to Instagram Live for the first installment of her The Unspoken series on Monday night (June 16), where she shared her opinion on Joy, the mother of 50 Cent's second son, Sire Jackson. 'We all know the Diddy trial is going on and we all know my son's father is not happy with it. But what Daphne is doing is indicative of her character. It's been rumored and known for years that she has been a call girl from Vegas. That's known. And he knew that when he beat her up in California,' she alleged. 'It was a domestic violence case in California.' '[Joy] tried to contact me to testify in that case. They contacted my child support attorneys for me to testify in Daphne Joy's domestic violence case, which I declined,' she continued. Tompkins also explained why she chose to not be a part of Joy's case, claiming that she was not on good terms with Joy due to things she has said about her. 'I'm a mother first and I'm a woman, but during the duration of the relationship between her and 50, she gave me so much shade and she was trolling me along with him. Like she thought she was superior and she thought her and her child were superior to Marquise and I,' Tompkins said. Earlier this month, a witness using the pseudonym Jane Doe took the stand at Diddy's trial, and the 'Many Men' rapper publicly questioned if the alleged victim was Daphne Joy. On June 6, Fif posted a selfie of Joy and a courtroom sketch with the caption: 'Hey does anyone know who Jane doe is I'm trying to research for the Diddy doc,' followed by a wide-eyed emoji. The post has since been deleted. Watch Tompkins' full Live above and the referenced portion below. Speaking of Marquise, 50 Cent recently had an interesting interaction with him on Father's Day. The 28-year-old posted video of himself smoking hookah, and on the second slide, he attached a fake betting slip with odds on whether or not his famous father would ever post a photo of the two of them. 'Oh it's Father's Day,' he sarcastically wrote in the caption. 'Happy Father's Day to all the real ones! I'm watching my bet and it ain't looking too good [facepalm emoji] I got the over… We all know this the day for photo ops. The Day ain't over yet FINISH STRONG… GET ON YOUR JOB [muscle emoji, laughing emoji].' The Queens legend's response garnered attention, as he fired back with a caption of his own: 'Happy Fathers Day Little Bi**h, I'll have full custody soon little bi**h, you'll be back on only fans in no time Little Bi**h. [eye emoji] but how is your day going Little Bi**h?' See the post below, which has since been edited to read: 'Happy Fathers Day guys, what did you get ?' All-female Japanese rock band Scandal is holding a concert in Singapore this September 2025

Before Japanese girl groups like Babymetal, Band-Maid, and Atarashii Gakko were in existence, there was Scandal – a four-member rock group that debuted in 2006. Amidst the primarily saccharine, cutesy outlook of other female idols in the Japanese music industry, this bunch of high school pals stood out with their badassery and broke all stereotypes of what a teen girl group in the scene should sound like. They play their own instruments too – with Mami on guitar, Tomomi on bass, Rina on drums, and Haruna as the lead vocalist. The OG fans would remember the foursome for their iconic black-and-red schoolgirl-like stage outfits back in their earlier days. Now in their mid-30s, they sport a more cleaned-up aesthetic alongside more masterful vocals – but with no lack of the same attitude they've come to be known and loved for. Scandal is known for hits like Harukaze, which was featured in anime Bleach; Shunkan Sentimental (瞬間センチメンタル) which was the soundtrack for Fullmetal Alchemist; and Yoake No Ryuuseigun (夜明けの流星群) for a Pokémon movie. As for non-anime-related tunes, Scandal Baby; Awanaitsumorino, Genkidene (会わないつもりの、元気でね); and Departure are among the extensive collection of power-packed earworms across their 11-album discography. ‘I am entitled to the winter fuel payment but my husband isn't – what will we get?'

Write to Pensions Doctor with your pension problem: pensionsdoctor@ Columns are published weekly. Dear Charlene, I was initially very happy with the winter fuel announcement, but I'm now confused about whether my husband and I will get it. The new rules talk about an income of over £35,000 per person ruling someone out, but I've also read that it will be paid per household like it was before last year's changes. My husband David is already 80 and I am about to turn 78. We both get a state pension and I have a small annuity paid to me each month from an old work pension meaning I'm well under £35,000. But my husband has a final salary pension of around £3,300 a month (before tax) putting him above the £35,000. I stand to inherit 50pc as a widow's pension if he passes away before me – would that also count? Our savings are mostly in cash split between Premium Bonds, some joint savings accounts and cash Isas. We don't pay any tax on our Isas and my interest is all tax-free thanks to the personal income allowance and the extra savings allowances. My husband pays tax through his pension. Is it all his (or our household) income that counts towards the £35,000 or does his £12,570 personal allowance count too? I'm sure we aren't the only ones confused – please can you explain for people like us? Many thanks, – Joy Dear Joy, I'll start by explaining who will get the winter fuel payment (WFP) this winter, before looking at what makes up that £35,000 and how it might work for couples such as yourself and David. In fewer than 12 months, we've seen two changes as to who is eligible for WFP. This week's announcement is that it will be paid to all pensioners but if an individual's income is over £35,000 it will be clawed back. As you've found, the rules can get confusing as the payment has previously been made to households, but how much depends on the age and eligibility of individuals. Who can get it? The payment is made to those over the state pension age on September 21 2025. To put it another way, people born on or before September 21 1959 will qualify this year. For England and Wales, the payments will be £200 per household or £300 where at least one person is aged 80 or over. Your household would receive the shared payment of £300, but £200 of this would be treated as being paid to David and £100 to you. If you were both over 80, it would be split equally. What counts towards the £35,000? The income test relates to taxable income, so payments that are automatically tax-free will not count towards the limit. Income from cash and investments held in Isas, pension credit or any benefits that are always tax-free do not need to be counted. Prizes on your Premium Bonds are also tax-free. Some income might not be paid with tax deducted but counts in taxable income calculations. The most common example is the state pension itself. Other types of income such as savings interest and dividends from cash and investments not held in Isas will also be included in the test against the £35,000 limit. For your husband, his state pension, final salary pension and any income from savings or investments outside of Isas will count towards the £35,000 limit. Although the personal allowance means he can get £12,570 of income before tax applies, and if he also gets the full personal savings allowance of £1,000 for interest, I'm afraid these do not reduce his income for the £35,000 test. If David passed away before you, any widow's pension you then receive would count as your own taxable income. This still might not tip you over the £35,000 WFP limit but could mean you start to pay some interest on your savings. This is because you probably benefit from the starting rate for savings interest, as well as the personal savings allowance. Clawbacks The payments will be made automatically, so there will be no need to fill out paperwork to make a claim. But for those over the income threshold, this will involve a clawback. In your case, £200 will be clawed back from your husband meaning you'd benefit from £100 overall. Clawbacks will be made using the methods through which you already pay tax. For example, through PAYE on pension income or self-assessment tax returns for those who already must file one. Ministers were keen to point out that nobody will have to register for self-assessment to do so, like the current process for clawing back child benefit. In your case, the clawback from David via PAYE is unlikely to happen until later in the tax year, or even after April 2026. Pensioners will be able to opt out to avoid having to go through the clawback, although we don't have the full details exactly how they can do this at the time of writing. We also don't know how the scheme for people in Scotland and Northern Ireland will work just yet either. A full about-turn would have been simpler The Government originally hoped to save around £1.4bn by restricting the WFP to those receiving pension credit, a measure it said was required to repair public finances. We've seen a drive to ensure more people claim pension credit and, with 58,800 extra successful claims since last July, the net saving from the whole exercise is likely to be miniscule. Given the confusion over the limits, the chaos it could cause HMRC and the meagre taxpayer savings on offer, it may have made sense for the Government to take the political embarrassment of an about-turn on the chin and make the payment to all pensioners.
