Jonas Brothers cancel 6 stadium shows, shift to smaller venues for 2025 tour

The Jonas Brothers have scrapped stadium shows in six major U.S. cities on their upcoming 'Jonas20: Living the Dream Tour,' opting instead for smaller venues amid what appears to be soft ticket sales. The pop trio — Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas — notified fans late last week that concerts in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Detroit, Dallas, Washington, D.C. and the Chicago area will no longer take place in large ballparks and arenas. New bookings in more modest amphitheaters and arenas will replace the original dates. Ticketholders will be issued automatic refunds. The group clarified that fans will need to buy new tickets for the rescheduled shows, but those who originally purchased tickets for the canceled concerts will receive priority access to a pre-sale through their Ticketmaster accounts. 'To the fans, we're so excited to get out and be with you for our 20th-anniversary tour!' the band wrote in a statement on social media Saturday, June 14. 'Every decision we make is with you in mind, ensuring the best experience for our incredible fans. We're making some changes, but rest assured, all performances are still happening on the same dates and in the same cities. We're pouring our hearts into making this the best tour we've ever done.' Some of the most notable venue changes include the Sept. 6 performance scheduled for Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles now moved to Intuit Dome in Inglewood. Other downshifts include Nationals Park to Jiffy Lube Live (Washington D.C.), Citizens Bank Park to Freedom Mortgage Pavilion (Philadelphia), Wrigley Field to Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre (Chicago), Comerica Park to Little Caesars Arena (Detroit) and Globe Life Field to Dos Equis Pavilion (Dallas). Despite the shuffle, not all stadium appearances have been scrapped. The tour is still set to launch Aug. 10 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and hit Boston's Fenway Park on Aug. 23. The group's Sept. 25 performance at San Francisco's Chase Center also remains unchanged. The tour coincides with their eighth studio album, 'Greetings From Your Hometown,' set for release Aug. 8. The Jonas Brothers last played Chase Center in October 2019 on a comeback tour supporting the album 'Happiness Begins,' featuring their biggest single to date, 'Sucker,' which premiered at No. 1 on Billboard. 'We apologize for any inconvenience these changes have caused and we can't wait to see you on the road!' the band added.
