'Limbs everywhere' - Williams' top Stadium of Light moments
Throughout Thursday, we have been revealing the moments ex-Sunderland defender Darren Williams believes have been the best at the Stadium of number three, he has chosen Jermain Defoe's exquisite volley to beat Newcastle United in 2015. "I was at the game and he just caught it such a treat at the right time," Williams told BBC Radio Newcastle. "The trajectory of the volley was just perfect. "I was out of my seat, and I was celebrating. It was one of those moments. That rivalry with Newcastle - you could feel the tension all game and it was always going to be tight. "He was very emotional and all credit to him because it was a fantastic volley." For second place, Williams wound the clock back only to last month for Dan Ballard's dramatic late goal against Coventry City in the semi-finals of the playoffs. "I just had a funny feeling that we would get something off the corner," he explained. "It was just a feeling, but I was halfway down the steps as he leapt in the air, and I thought he misjudged it. I still don't understand how he did it! He mistimed his jump and was coming down. "You looked around, and there was limbs flying everywhere." Who made number one? Soccer Aid 2025 LIVE RESULT: Carlos Tevez scores FOUR and Big Zuu gets late winner as World XI seal stunning turn around
Oh, what a night! Well, that was one of the most incredible editions of Soccer Aid we've ever seen. England dominated the first period, with Wayne Rooney scoring the fastest goal EVER in the charity match before Toni Duggan struck just before the break. When Jermain Defoe put England 3-0 up it looked like game over. But Carlos Tevez had other ideas. The former Man Utd man scored two in two minutes, before Defoe scored another, then scored another two to take his tally for the match to FOUR. Two of those goals came after incredible solo dribbles, while another came from a free-kick. The World XI weren't done there, though, with Big Zuu the unlikely goalscorer to earn the win in a thriller at Old Trafford.

Westlife star Nicky Byrne makes incredible Soccer Aid double save… then somehow avoids red card moments later
WESTLIFE star Nicky Byrne made a sensational double save to deny Jermain Defoe and Steven Bartlett at Soccer Aid. But just moments later the Irishman could have been sent off for a clear handball. 2 2 The Irishman, 46, came on for former Manchester United stopper Edwin van der Sar between the sticks at half-time. And the hitmaker was immediately called into action. England star Aaron Lennon rolled back the years to race down the right flank before squaring for former Tottenham team-mate Jermain Defoe. The legendary striker looked certain to score... only to be denied by Byrne's legs. Bartlett, 32, pounced on the rebound, but Byrne pounced up to deny the entrepreuneur. Barely a minute later, Defoe had another chance to score - sparking a moment of controversy. With Byrne having raced miles off his line, Defoe looked to flick the ball beyond the stopper. The Westlife star instinctively blocked the ball with his arm - sparking complaints from the England front man. Prem ref Rebecca Welch immediately blew her whistle, but only brandished a yellow card, much to Byrne's relief.
