The Philadelphia Eagles were a matchup nightmare for the Washington Commanders and second-overall pick Jayden Daniels last season.

In three contests, Daniels completed 63% of his passes for 704 yards and seven touchdowns. But ... He was also picked off four times. Those numbers aren't bad, but when compared to the rest of his historic rookie campaign, they were easily his worst against any opponent he met more than once.
Despite the struggles, Daniels still found a way to split the regular-season series against Philly. Washington won their Week 16 contest by a 36-33 final score courtesy of a last-second touchdown pass from Daniels to Jamison Crowder.

Daniels led the Commanders to the NFC Championship Game for the first time in three decades, but were blown out by the Eagles.

Even after their disappointing playoff loss, the Heisman Trophy winner still finds some joy in mentioning that regular-season win over Philadelphia.
Speaking on a panel at Fanatics Fan Fest on Saturday afternoon, Daniels said his most memorable moment from his rookie campaign was that game-winning touchdown pass that defeated his rivals, according to Anthony DiBona.
Despite the season split, Philadelphia should feel confident that they were Daniels' toughest matchup last year.
In his first meeting, Daniels and the Commanders offense were grounded for most of the contest. Philadelphia led by two scores late. Washington's signal-caller bounced back in a big way during the Week 16 showdown by throwing five touchdowns in the comeback win.

But ...
The conference title game was a disaster for everyone on the Commander's sideline.
If Daniels wants to discuss an admittedly strong performance against a rival, he is well within his right to do so. However ... Knowing that they ended up winning the war just a few weeks later will most assuredly give the Eagles plenty of pride.
