'Information is known locally' claim cops investigating Ayr murder bid
Police say they are investigating the murder bid after they were called to Braeside Road at around 10am on Tuesday, June 17. The 39-year-old male victim remains in a serious but stable condition. Officers are also appealing for information to help trace a man seen in the area around the time of the incident. He is described as white, in his mid-30s, around 5ft 11in tall and with a tattoo on his neck. 'I would also appeal to anyone who was in the Braeside Road area around the time and saw anything which may be of note or has CCTV or dash-cam footage, to contact us. 'Extensive enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances. Additional officers will be in the area while our investigations continue and I'd ask anyone with information or concerns to speak to officers or call 101.' A Snapchat video seen by the Daily Record shows what appears to be two men involved in a struggle in the middle of the road on the residential man can be seen lying on the ground whilst the other, understood to be the attacker, is on top of 'suspect' is then spotted running off from the scene as the man on the ground lies holding their upper body and rolling around in image shows paramedics and police surrounding the victim as he holds a police officer's hand. Three charged after £124,000 of cannabis and cocaine recovered in raids
Three people have been charged after £124,00 worth of cannabis and cocaine was recovered in two raids. Police executed warrants at two addresses in Stevenston and Kilwinning on May 13, where a cannabis cultivation worth up to £120,000 and £4,000 worth of cocaine were discovered, respectively. A 24-year-old man at the first address, a 42-year-old man, and a 38-year-old woman at the second, were arrested and charged. The recoveries are not believed to be linked. Detective inspector Jamie Carruth said: 'These seizures highlight our ongoing efforts to disrupt drug supply and protect those in our communities affected by illegal drugs. 'The operations underline our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country's Serious Organised Crime Strategy. 'We work every day to protect the public by preventing drugs being circulated on our streets. 'This is vitally important in addressing the concerns of local people across Ayrshire. Police made the seizure and three arrests following two unconnected raids in Stevenston and Kilwinning yesterday, Tuesday, May 13 Drugs worth more than £120,000 have been seized and three people arrested and charged following two unconnected raids in Ayrshire. Police raided two properties in North Ayrshire yesterday, Tuesday, May 13, as part of ongoing action to tackle and disrupt the supply of illegal drugs. In the Misk Knowes area of Stevenston, police discovered a cannabis cultivation which contained plants with a potential street value of up to £120,000. A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection and he is expected to appear at court on today, Wednesday, May 14. In an unconnected raid, police discovered cocaine with an estimated street value of around £4,000 at a property on Byrehill Place in Kilwinning. A 42-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection and they are expected to appear at court at a later date.
