Construction on a roundabout on Carmel's border begins next month. Which roads will close
Construction on a new roundabout in Carmel is set to begin next month and shut down an intersection for about 60 days, according to the city.
The new roundabout will be added to the intersection of East 96th Street and North College Avenue on the city's south side. Construction will begin on or after March 17.
Two other new roundabouts will be added to North College Avenue at its intersections with Pennsylvania Parkway and Parkwood Crossing. Upgrades, including the addition of a multi-use path, will also be added to North College Avenue from East 96th Street to East 104th Street during the next year.

The full closure of the East 96th Street and North College Avenue intersection as well as north along the avenue to its intersection with I-465 will be in effect until June 1 once construction begins, according to the city.
After this date:
South bound traffic on North College Avenue will be permitted between 104th Street and 96th Street
North bound traffic will have access to I-465 with no access beyond it as the north bound lane of College Avenue is reconstructed
There will be a community meeting Feb. 10 at 5 p.m. at Carmel City Hall to discuss the project.
