The Boston Celtics can solve their big man depth problems in the 2025 NBA draft

The Boston Celtics can solve their big man depth problems with just one pick in the 2025 NBA draft. Or at least that is the position of some of the hosts of the CLNS Media "First to the Floor" podcast. On a recent episode of their show, Jake Issenberg, Ben Vallis, and Wayne Spooney took a closer look at a favorite center prospect option for Boston to take in the draft this summer, should he still be in the board when the Celtics are selecting with their Nos. 28 and 32 overall picks. The man in question is Stanford big man Maxime Raynaud, a 7-foot marksman from beyond the arc who is a force on the offensive end of the court. There are concerns about his defense at the NBA level, and he may not be available when Boston is on the clock, but trading up could also be a solution to his availability in the Celtics range. Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about why they think Raynaud is the man for Boston to draft to fix their frontcourt depth. The Boston Celtics should take St. Joseph's forward Rasheer Fleming

The Boston Celtics should take St. Joseph's forward Rasheer Fleming The Boston Celtics should take St. Joseph's forward Rasheer Fleming in the first round of the 2025 NBA draft. Or at least that is the point of view of some of the hosts of the CLNS Media "First to the Floor" podcast, Jake Issenberg, Ben Vallis, and Wayne Spooney. The hosts sat down to take a closer look at the rising swingman prospect and how he could fit with Boston moving forward. A 6-foot-9, 232 lbs. 3-and-D specialist with upside to grow into a high-level starter or even star, the 21-year-old forward is likely going to end up being taken nearer to the lottery than where the Celtics will be selecting in the first round at No. 28 overall. Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what the "First to the Floor" crew had to say about why Boston ought to take Fleming in the '25 draft, even if it means burning assets to trade up to get him. Are the Boston Celtics about to trade up in the 2025 NBA draft?

Are the Boston Celtics about to trade up in the 2025 NBA draft? Are the Boston Celtics about to trade up in the 2025 NBA draft? There have been rumbles making the rounds in the NBA media that the Celtics might look to trade up from their No. 28 and 32 overall picks of the '25 draft, perhaps by aggregating those or other draft assets, by dealing away a player with enough cache to improve Boston's current draft position, or a combination of the two. How reliable are these rumbles about the Celtics trying to trade up? If true, it seems likely they have a target or two they would like to add in order for the move to make sense. What sort of players are worth burning assets for Boston to trade up in the draft, and what would likely be the cost in such a scenario? The hosts of the CLNS Media "First to the Floor" podcast, Jake Issenberg, Ben Vallis, and Wayne Spooney, took some time on a recent episode of their show to talk it over. Check it out below! Why didn't Boston Celtics point guard Derrick White make an All-Defense team?

Why didn't Boston Celtics point guard Derrick White make an All-Defense team for the 2024-25 NBA season? The University of Colorado alum was a top defender on both the perimeter and at the rim, and was a key cog in one of the league's best defenses all season long on the way to the Celtics winning 61 games in the regular season. Add in the eye test, and it can be hard to understand what the logic was for leaving off White for any of the All-Defensive teams for this season, yet the Colorado native finds himself on the outside looking in.
