Jaipur Rugs partners with Archdais for design contest
Jaipur Rugs has partnered with Archdais to launch the second edition of its design competition, continuing efforts to spotlight India's emerging design talent through craft-focused innovation. Titled 'Jaipur Rugs Pavilion – Design & Build Competition: a celebration of craft, community & design,' the contest invites architects, designers, and creatives to explore spatial storytelling through the lens of rug design. This year's theme encourages submissions rooted in sustainability, culture, and community, Jaipur Rugs announced in a press release. The initiative aligns with Jaipur Rugs' mission to connect rural craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics, and Archdais' commitment to building inclusive, design-led platforms. The 2025 edition offers a prize pool of Rs 3.5 lakh, with top winners receiving cash awards, gift vouchers, trophies, and certificates. Fifteen honourable mentions will also receive gift vouchers and recognition. 'This competition is our invitation to young creatives to dream boldly and design with meaning," said Jaipur Rugs' director Yogesh Chaudhary in a press release. 'We believe this initiative will surface ideas that are both visionary and deeply human," added Archdais' co-founder Rushikesh Kothari. The jury includes Rutvi Chaudhary, director at Jaipur Rugs; Komal Sharma, editor at Architectural Digest India; and Ridhi Jalan Khosla, interior designer and educator. The competition is open globally. Registrations close on August 5, 2025, with final submissions due by August 10 via Archdais' website.

Jaipur Rugs, Archdais Launch Global Pavilion Design Contest
Jaipur Rugs and Archdais have announced the return of their innovative design competition, inviting architects and designers worldwide to participate in the Jaipur Rugs Pavilion – Design & Build Competition. This initiative continues their mission to celebrate storytelling through sustainable, craft-rooted spatial design while supporting emerging talent in the design community. With a total prize pool of INR 3.5 lakhs, the contest provides winners not only with cash rewards and gift vouchers, but also real-world implementation opportunities. The first prize winner will receive INR 50,000 in cash and vouchers, along with a trophy and certificate. The runner-up and second runner-up will receive INR 30,000 and INR 20,000 respectively, while 15 honorable mentions will also be awarded gift vouchers worth INR 10,000 each. Building on the success of its inaugural edition in 2024, the competition now returns with a fresh focus on creating immersive pavilion experiences that showcase Jaipur Rugs' identity — one deeply rooted in craft, culture, and community. Designers are challenged to shape soulful, sustainable spaces that can be brought to life at upcoming Jaipur Rugs exhibitions.
