Man bought lottery ticket and had to run back into SC store when he saw prize
A South Carolina man won a huge lottery prize when he bought a scratch-off ticket on his way home from work. The man stopped at a gas station in North Charleston and bought a $10 $500,000 Jackpot game, according to a June 19 news release from the South Carolina Education Lottery. The man scratched the ticket while standing at the gas pumps. When he saw his prize, he ran back into the store to get another opinion. 'I had to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me,' he told lottery officials. The clerk scanned the ticket and confirmed the man won 'more than the store could pay out,' the lottery said. He hit for $500,000. 'I had a feeling a blessing was coming,' he told lottery officials. The odds of winning $500,000 on the $500,000 Jackpot ticket are 1 in 1,152,000, according to the lottery. There is one top prize left.

Record €250m jackpot up for grabs in Tuesday's EuroMillions draw
A lucky Irish Lotto player could make history tonight as the jackpot for Tuesday's EuroMillions draw stands at a record-breaking €250 million. The EuroMillions Jackpot reached its maximum cap of €250m on Friday, June 6, meaning the extraordinary prize cannot grow any further. However, for EuroMillions draw where the jackpot is capped, any excess money that would usually be allocated to the Jackpot will flow down to the next prize level at which there are winner(s). The flow down works in two ways. Firstly, on draws at the cap any excess which would normally be allocated to the Jackpot will flow down to the next prize tier at which there are winners - e.g. based on sales when the Jackpot is capped at €250 Million, the Jackpot could naturally grow to €260 Million, then the Jackpot remains capped at €250 Million but the excess €10 Million flows down to the next tier, which is 5 numbers + 1 Lucky Star. If there are no winners at the 5 numbers + 1 Lucky Star tier, the funds continue to flow down to the 5 numbers + 0 Lucky Stars tier, and so on. Any winners(s) at that lower tier will share the excess flow-down. For example, if €10 Million flows down and there are 2 winners the 5 numbers + 1 Lucky Star tier, those players would take home an additional €5 Million each. Secondly, on the fifth draw at cap, if there is no Jackpot winner, the entirety of the Jackpot prize fund flows down the next prize tier at which there is at least one winner. Meaning the winner(s) at the next tier share the Jackpot prize of €250 Million. The EuroMillions jackpot is capped at €250m and tonight's draw is the last chance to win before a 'Must Be Won Draw' is triggered. If there is no winner on Tuesday the 'Must Be Won Draw' will take place on Friday June 20. A 'Must Be Won Draw' essentially means the entire €250m will be divided out amongst winners regardless of whether anyone secures five numbers and two lucky stars or not. It also means the chances of winning the jackpot are potentially slashed as someone with five numbers and one lucky star could scoop the €250m. If there are no winners in this tier, the prize money will roll down to the category below and so on. Tonight EuroMillions draw will take place 8.45pm and you can watch the numbers being called on the National Lottery website or YouTube channel. Results can be viewed on the National Lottery results page after 9.25pm. The National Lottery is encouraging hopefuls to secure their tickets for Tuesday's draw early, either in-store, through the National Lottery app, or online at before the 7.30pm deadline this evening.
