JoSAA Counselling 2025 Application: Registration and choice filling ends today
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) registration and choice filling window for candidates who passed the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 and JEE Advanced 2025 will close today, June 12. Candidates yet to enroll in JoSAA counselling on the official website – must choose the academic programmes they are willing to join and prioritise them in order of preference of programme/institute. Candidates must lock in their preferred institution/programme before 5 pm today. JoSAA Counselling provides a platform for seat allocation of candidates aiming for admission in 127 institutions across the country, including 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) Shibpur and 26 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and 46 other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). JoSAA will conduct a total of six rounds of seat allocation till July 22. If a candidate has accepted a seat, but wants to withdraw, they can do so by reporting online before the fifth round of seat acceptance period ends. Candidates were also offered two mock seat allocation opportunities. June 12: Registration and choice locking period ends at 5 pm. June 14: Round 1 seat allocation results will be displayed at 10 am. June 21: Round 2 seat allocation results at 5 pm. June 28: Round 3 seat allocation results at 5 pm. July 4: Round 4 seat allocation results at 5 pm. July 10: Round 5 seat allocation results at 5 pm. July 16: Final round seat allocation for IITs at 5 pm. Candidates who have appeared in JEE (Main) 2025 should login with their application number and password. Foreign nationals and OCI/PIO card holders who have not registered/appeared in JEE (Main) 2025 should login with JEE (Advanced) 2025 direct registration login id and password. Candidates must 'lock' their choices before the deadline on June 12. If candidates do not lock their choices, last saved choices will be locked automatically upon reaching the deadline. Locked choices filled by a candidate cannot be edited. If a candidate wishes to edit their choices after locking, they can do so by first submitting a request to unlock in the JoSAA portal. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile and email, which can be used to validate the unlock request. Once validated, candidate's choices will be unlocked for editing. But edits need to be done before the choice filing deadline.

Sri Chaitanya, Narayana colleges claim top ranks in JEE (Advanced)
Narayana Educational Institutions said five of the top-10 All India open category ranks were achieved by its students in the JEE (Advanced) 2025, results of which were announced on Monday. It said 43 of the top 100 ranks were bagged by its students, it said in a press release. The top rankers are Majid Hussain (3), Parth Mandar Vartak (4), Akshat Chaurasia (6), Sahil Deo (7), and Vadlamudi Lokesh (10). A robust learning ecosystem, which emphasises conceptual mastery, rigorous practice and tech-driven education contributed to our students' success, said Narayana directors P. Sindhura and P. Sharani. Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions, in a press release, said its student Vangala Ajay Reddy, who secured all-India first rank in JEE (Advanced) 2025, had scored 300 out of 300 marks in JEE (Main) 2025. The four ranks in the top-10 category include the all-India first rank of D. Gnana Rutvik Sai (OBC), Majid Hussain (3), Ujjwal Kesari (5), and Akshat Kumar Chaurasia (6). In addition, it claimed seven ranks in top-20, 19 top-50 and 29 in top-100 ranks. Delivering quality education through both online and offline modes, supported by top-tier faculty across the country, and the role of well-designed programmes, micro-schedules, internal exams and ranking systems helped achieved the outcomes, its academic director Sushma Boppana said.

JEE Advanced 2025: Registration to begin from tomorrow, here's how to apply
The registration process for JEE Advanced 2025 will begin soon. By going to the official website at qualified applicants can register for JEE Advanced 2025. The registration period will open on April 23 at 10 a.m. and end on May 2, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. May 5, 2025, is also the deadline for registered candidates to pay their fees. The link to the JEE Advanced mock test has been opened by the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, ahead of the May 18 exam. Candidates who meet the requirements to take the JEE Advanced 2025 exam can sign up for the mock test and take it. While the qualification for SC/ST students is 65%, the candidate should have received 75% on their 12th-grade exam. 2. Age requirement: Applicants must have been born on October 1, 2000, or later. SC, ST, and Pwd applicants are granted a five-year age relaxation; that is, they must have been born on or after October 1, 1995. 3. Exam Mode: Only the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode will be used for the JEE (Advanced) 2025 test.
