HRH Crown Prince Highlights Bahrain's Proactive Approach to Emergency Preparedness

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, reaffirmed Bahrain's strong commitment to peace and resolving crises through dialogue and diplomacy. He emphasized the Kingdom's ongoing support for regional and international efforts aimed at promoting stability and security both in the region and around the world. Speaking during his visit to the MODAR Center at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, accompanied by key ministers including Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, and Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, the Crown Prince highlighted Bahrain's proactive approach to civil safety. He noted that Bahrain is continuously taking all necessary measures to enhance civil protection amid rapid developments in the region. HRH stressed Bahrain's focus on emergency management through a comprehensive and forward-looking strategy. This includes institutional readiness, improving the efficiency of relevant authorities, and fostering cooperation between different government agencies. He also pointed out the importance of strengthening partnerships with friendly and sister countries to protect shared interests and maintain regional security. Upon arriving at the center, the Crown Prince was welcomed by His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs. HRH reviewed the center's latest work, including its coordination with various departments within the ministry and Bahrain's diplomatic and consular missions abroad. The center plays a vital role in supporting Bahraini diplomacy, promoting peace, and safeguarding national security. The Crown Prince praised the dedication of Bahrain's national teams, highlighting their professionalism and ability to deliver excellence in all assigned duties. He encouraged continuing the momentum of progress across all sectors, urging everyone to work together with a united spirit to achieve prosperity and well-being for the country and its people. Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdullatif Al Zayani expressed his sincere gratitude to the Crown Prince for his visit and continuous support. He emphasized that HRH's guidance remains a beacon inspiring all work within the ministry. Young Bahraini jockeys to sharpen skills in Britain

As part of its ongoing efforts to develop national equestrian talent, the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club is sending a group of Bahraini jockeys and apprentice riders to the British Jockeys Academy for an advanced training course. Ahead of their departure, Mohammed Ahmed Al Nemah, Acting Director of the Jockeys Support Fund, met with the riders to offer guidance and motivation. The training mission is backed by the Supreme Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, chaired by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court. Al Nemah reaffirmed the Fund's ongoing efforts to support and qualify promising riders in partnership with key institutions. The riders thanked the club's leadership and management, pledging to represent the Kingdom with pride and to gain maximum benefit from the opportunity.

Scholarship awarded to visually impaired student on Royal directive

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Endowment, has directed the allocation of a scholarship to student Munira Al-Shomali in recognition of her outstanding high school performance despite the challenges posed by her visual impairment. Mashael Al Qatami, Acting Secretary General of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Endowment and Director of Student Affairs, stated that His Highness's generous gesture reflects his commitment to supporting Bahraini students and ensuring they have access to the resources needed to pursue their academic aspirations. She added that the endowment will fully fund Munira Al-Shomali's undergraduate studies and wished her continued success in her academic journey.

The meeting reviewed Tamkeen's achievements during the first half of the year, outlined the strategic priorities for 2025, and provided updates on support extended through its three main packages: Employment Support, Career Development Support, and Enterprise Support. His Highness underscored the importance of investing in Bahraini talent to cultivate a skilled national workforce. This vision is pursued by creating further opportunities for Bahrainis to upskill and enhance their capabilities, empowering them to excel across various sectors, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the unwavering efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. His Highness highlighted the importance of continuing to implement targeted initiatives that position Bahrainis as the first choice of employment, while equipping them for future-oriented jobs—particularly in fields requiring technical expertise and artificial intelligence. Furthermore, His Highness issued directives to launch programmes that support SMEs in adopting cutting-edge technologies to drive business growth. These efforts align with the previously announced initiative to train 50,000 Bahrainis in artificial intelligence, as outlined in the last Board of Directors meeting. During the meeting, Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, presented an overview of Tamkeen's accomplishments in the first half of the year. These included support for over 7,700 Bahrainis entering the labour market, more than 9,200 Bahrainis benefiting from training and career development initiatives, and assistance extended to over 3,600 enterprises across various sectors to foster growth, drive digital transformation, and enhance productivity. The Board was also briefed on key upcoming plans aligned with Tamkeen's strategic priorities for the year. These priorities focus on enhancing the competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector, equipping them with future-ready skills, driving enterprise growth and digitisation, and strengthening the broader ecosystem surrounding the labour market and private sector.

Also present at the meeting were His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Crown Prince's Court, and Ms. Maha Abdul Hameed Mufiz, Chief Executive of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen). His Highness was briefed on the latest developments in collaborative initiatives between Tamkeen and J.P. Morgan, most notably the launch of the Global Centre of Excellence for Technology in Bahrain. The Centre aims to support national talent by providing high-quality training and employment opportunities in the information technology sector. His Highness noted that such partnerships significantly contribute to Bahrain's comprehensive development, enhancing its competitiveness on the global stage. He further emphasized that investment in national human capital remains a strategic priority, as it strengthens the role of Bahraini professionals in driving sustainable economic growth and shaping the Kingdom's future.
