Cardi B Is Back ‘Outside' With A New Single
Cardi B In the wake of her split from estranged husband Offset, hit-making rapper Cardi B is ready to show she's 'Outside' for the summer. The Bronx-bred MC is back with her first solo single of 2025 and is setting the stage for her long-awaited sophomore album. 'Outside" is believed to be a direct shot at Offset as Cardi prepares to return to music in full force. She announced earlier this month that she turned in her second album to Atlantic Records, more than seven years after the release of her Grammy-winning debut Invasion of Privacy. 'I'm finally feeling ready,' she said during a recent Instagram Live. 'Y'all waited long enough. It's 'go' time.' 'When I tell you these n***as ain't sh**t, please believe me / They gon' f**k on anything, these n***as way too easy / Good-for-nothing, low-down dirty dogs, I'm convinced / Next time you see your mama, tell her how she raised a b***h,' she raps on the track. Though a large chunk of time has passed since her last LP, Cardi's dominance in hip-hop hasn't faded. She notched back-to-back number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with 'WAP' in 2020 and 'Up' in 2021 and other top-10 hits with last year's 'Enough (Miami)' and her 2022 GloRilla collab 'Tomorrow 2.' Cardi teased the forthcoming album in a Billboard interview in April and promised something unlike anything currently in the zeitgeist. "I almost want to say the name because that's what it'll be about," she said. "I feel like my album is messy. She's a messy queen." "I feel like it's unexpected and I feel like it's something that's not really out right now," she continued. "It's gonna be things that people do expect me and a lot of things people don't expect from me." The rollercoaster of her life over the past year – from filing for divorce a second time last July and having her third child in September to her new relationship with New England Patriots player Stefon Diggs this spring – has played a key role in the upcoming project. "It's a lot of lover girl things, too, on my album. I've been heartbroken and then I'm loving again, and then I'm exploring again," she added, though she noted there'll be music to 'fight' to as well.

Cardi B Speaks Out Against Pres. Trump's 'Dictatorship Vibe' And Recent ICE Raids
Cardi B has explained her hesitation in speaking out about the Donald Trump administration amid continued protests in Los Angeles following the ICE raids and Trump's deployment of the National Guard and Marines. During a recent X Spaces, the Invasion Of Privacy emcee— who's previously endorsed Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders— admitted to seeing chatter across social media about Trump's actions and shared that her personal hesitance came from knowing that Trump does 'not give one f**k about me,' and also acknowledging the fear of retaliation. 'Personally, the reason why I haven't really said anything is because I could say something every single day about it and guess what? Nothing is going to happen,' she stated, according to Complex. 'Trump do not give one f**k about me or what I gotta say. I personally believe that he doesn't like me. So if somebody don't like you, and they say something or they do something, they'll be like, 'Oh word? Now I'm gonna show you.'' Cardi reminded listeners about her past thoughts on what she believed a Trump presidency would mean for immigration. 'He always gives dictatorship vibe,' she declared on Spaces. 'I tried to warn people that this was going to happen. I don't know nobody anymore in the White House. I don't know a representative. I don't know nobody in there. And if I talk about it every single day, he is not going to care. Actually, I feel like if I talk about it every single day, he's going to deport more people on purpose to show you […] Like, 'B***h, I run this country.'' Despite her feeling that there is 'no point or purpose' in speaking out against Trump, Cardi did address him directly, urging him to 'have some compassion' with his administration's aggression. She spoke on the importance of those he's targeting, noting they're 'working their a** off and providing for this country.' The Bronx native explained, 'So they actually have helped America a lot. Plenty! We wouldn't like for an American to get snatched up in Russia and get f**king treated practically like dog s**t. And we're treating these people like they're dog s**t, like not even humans.' She concluded her chat by telling listeners that Trump's 'not going to stop, he's gonna get worse'—and reflected on how the 'bad karma' of those in charge could fire back on the country as a whole. 'God will f**king have us pay,' she declared. California governor Gavin Newsom is already planning to pursue legal action against Trump's military deployment. Newsom explained on X on Monday (June 9), 'U.S. Marines serve a valuable purpose for this country— defending democracy. They are not political pawns. The Secretary of Defense is illegally deploying them onto American streets so Trump can have a talking point at his parade this weekend. It's a blatant abuse of power. We will sue to stop this. The Courts and Congress must act. Checks and balances are crumbling. This is a red line — and they're crossing it. WAKE UP!' Offset Reportedly Seeking Spousal Support From Cardi B Amid Divorce
Cardi B and Offset's separation has unfolded over the last year with the world watching, and the terms of their ongoing divorce now have another added layer. The former Migos member is reportedly seeking financial assistance from his ex-wife as they navigate their tangled lives as a formerly married duo. On May 29, TMZ reported the Atlanta rapper 'filed an amended divorce response earlier this month in which he's now asking that Cardi pay him spousal support.' The outlet noted he did not request a specific amount in the documents and he is still asking for joint custody of their children. He agrees Cardi's house should serve as the primary residence for the kids. The Bronx rapstress filed for divorce in August 2024 after seven years of marriage, and the two have been trading shots back and forth on social media since. That same summer, she also gave birth to her third child with 'Set. They share three kids in total, including their eldest daughter, Kulture, and son, Wave. Last month, Offset attempted to fan the flames of the public turmoil their relationship drama has caused on the web. He posted on X: 'Keep my name out sh*t please thank you tired of this circus I want out. Let ppl live they life… I want peace no smoke I love all bardi gang we grown man she happy let her live she don't want to see this sh*t either man life goes on we can all be friends man.' As far as what the 'Ric Flair Drip' rapper is up to on the music front, he confirmed on May 28 that his next project is officially submitted and ready to go. Cardi B has been teasing fans about her sophomore album for several years, as her Grammy-winning debut project, Invasion Of Privacy, came out in 2018. After promising fans that 2024 would be the year, the body of work wound up not coming out, but she did clarify to her supporters the reason for the hold-up. 'I really need these f**king features,' she explained without placing the blame on anyone specifically. 'And it's like I'm not really trying to press or go crazy on these artists because I love them down. But it's like come on now! I need that! I need that right now! Helloooo! Y'all don't want to miss this opportunity. I'll sing this s**t myself! But I really need y'all and I need y'all to hurry up and I love y'all. I feel like nobody would want to miss being on this album.'More from Cardi B And Stefon Diggs Go Instagram-Official With PDA-Filled Photos Offset Seemingly Reacts To Cardi B's Romance With Stefon Diggs Cardi B Wishes Death On Offset After His Request For Spousal Support

Cardi B Reveals The One Thing Still Missing From Sophomore Album Ahead Of Release
Cardi B's sophomore album isn't ready, and it's not entirely her fault. When speaking with fans on Instagram Live this week, the rapper confessed that her featured guests are the real culprits behind the delay. 'I really need these f**king features,' she explained without namedropping anyone specific. I feel like nobody would want to miss being on this album.' The Bronx native admitted that with some past releases, she wasn't particularly confident. However, that's not the case with her highly-anticipated second album. 'These motherf**kers almost cried listening to my s**t. They were like 'I feel like there's no skips' […] It's iconic. This album is so good. I put my whole p***y on it. I rapped with the bottom of my p***y, so hurry up!,' Bardi quipped while urging her collaborators to 'not miss out on this moment.' While she understands being busy, she really hopes her guest stars don't forgo this opportunity. The untitled follow-up to her Grammy-winning debut album, Invasion Of Privacy, is described as being 'for the books.' Cardi teased, 'Like the production, the production, the feelings, the words, the rap— it's just, it's really there. Y'all not even understanding.' As far as who's on the project, the mother of three said on Spaces back in March, 'The features on my album are really good. I don't have a lot of features but I'm working with artists— some that I have worked before and some that I haven't worked before. And the ones that I have not worked before, I feel like it's gonna really, really surprise y'all.' She is remaining tight-lipped about who she's worked with, but promised to give fans some hints about who's who. Cardi also hinted that the LP will be 'messy' while speaking to a range of emotions. No title or release date has been announced.
