How the Clippers Engineered the NBA's Best Home Court Advantage
Last fall, when the Los Angeles Clippers lost their first four home games of the season, team owner Steve Ballmer was in a bad way. This was the first season in the Intuit Dome, a $2 billion arena constructed at Ballmer's personal expense and to his idiosyncratic demands. The idea, as Bloomberg Businessweek reported last year before Intuit opened, was to create a raucous environment where fans would help propel the Clippers to victory. 'I'm thinking, 'Oh s---, oh s---, oh s---, we jinxed it,'' Ballmer says during an interview in New York City in May. He's sitting at an empty table in a windowless conference room in a Midtown hotel where, later that evening, he'll accept Sports Business Journal 's award naming the Intuit Dome as facility of the year. The Clippers finally got a win there, on the fifth try, against the San Antonio Spurs, in November. After that game, Ballmer says, he spoke with the team in the locker room. 'I said, 'Jeez, guys, thank you. This thing was going to get demolished.''

WWE star R-Truth makes shocking return to cost John Cena match
WWE's Money in the Bank premium live event was filled with stunning moments on Saturday, but it was the main event tag-team match that got pro wrestling fans talking. It appeared the team of John Cena and Logan Paul was going to defeat Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. It would have marked another loss for Rhodes in what was his first match since WrestleMania 41. Cena was able to knock out Rhodes when he used the Undisputed WWE Championship as a weapon. Cena looked around for the referee but couldn't find him. Then a mysterious man dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants entered the ring. He attacked Cena and started to hammer him with furious fists to the head. The man stepped off of Cena to reveal himself. It was R-Truth. The fans who flocked to the Intuit Dome yelled in shock. It was only six days ago that R-Truth wrote on social media that he would be leaving the WWE. He hit Cena with the title belt. Rhodes got up and hit Cena with the Cross Rhodes for the win. It was R-Truth who became the talk of WWE Universe. WWE Shop billed him as Ron Killings, the real name of R-Truth, which sparked questions about whether he would use a different name in the upcoming feud. R-Truth announced he would be leaving the WWE last week. But it sparked a bigger movement during the week. Fans chanted "We want Truth!" at each of WWE's shows this week. It got so big that Cena had to address it and put fans down on "Friday Night SmackDown." Cena previously defeated R-Truth at "Saturday Night's Main Event" after a confrontation after Backlash. The wrestler told fans on X it was not a "work" that he was going to be released, meaning it was not a part of a storyline to confuse fans to draw a reaction. "#WeWantTruth was seen, heard, felt and understood… Believe me when I say this, I Love EVERYONE of yall to death," he wrote on X. "We made history together." Paul "Triple H" Levesque, WWE's chief content officer, was asked about R-Truth's return after the event. "I love the question," he said. "You enjoying the show? All part of the show, man." WWE Money In The Bank 2025 Results As Seth Rollins Wins Men's Ladder Match
Seth Rollins is now a two-time Money in the Bank winner. (Credit: Georgiana Dallas/WWE via Getty ... More Images) WWE Money in the Bank 2025 had one overwhelming favorite in the men's match, and as it turns out, Seth Rollins was the favorite for a reason. En route to WWE's latest pay-per-view, the company assembled one of the most unique MITB fields in recent memory: Andrade, El Grande Americano, LA Knight, Penta, Rollins and Solo Sikoa. In the show's semi-main event, a slew of superstars not even in the match, including Bronson Reed, Jacob Fatu and Bron Breakker, showed up in an attempt to help their stables win the briefcase. Once the dust settled, however, one man was able to leave the Intuit Dome as the winner of the 2025 WWE Money in the Bank match and with that a guaranteed future world title match. WWE went the most obvious route with the 2025 men's Money in the Bank match winner: Seth Rollins. The clear betting favorite and the logical one, too, Rollins left the Intuit Dome with the Money in the Bank briefcase after a chaotic, interference-filled men's MITB match. Just as Naomi's victory was widely expected, so was Rollins, the lone star in the bout who is consistently pushed as a main eventer. Some of the key highlights of the men's ladder match were: While Fatu's betrayal of Sikoa stole the show, that major moment was also, well, obviously coming. WWE had teased for weeks upon weeks that Fatu, one of the company's fastest rising stars, would turn babyface in the near future. As it turns out, WWE finally pulled the trigger at Money in the Bank 2025, and Fatu's interference played a big role in Rollins capitalizing for the win. That could be seen from a mile away, with reports emerging that Rollins would likely win the match and earn a guaranteed world title shot. Looking at the other competitors in the match, Rollins quite clearly had the best shot at becoming world champion over the past year. The only question entering Money in the Bank was: is Rollins winning too obvious? Maybe, maybe not. But even if it was, WWE stuck to its guns and gave Rollins a second briefcase win at Money in the Bank 2025, and don't be surpised if he's world champion sooner rather than later.

WWE Money In The Bank 2025 Results As Naomi Wins Women's Ladder Match
WWE Money in the Bank 2025 featured one of the most star-studded women's matches in company history: Alexa Bliss, Guilia, Naomi, Rhea Ripley, Roxanne Perez and Stephanie Vaquer in a six-woman ladder match. In the eighth installment of the match, WWE mixed in three of its most seasoned veterans with three red hot rising stars who've all been called up to Raw or SmackDown in 2025. The goal? Outlast your opponents, climb up the ladder, grad the coveted WWE Money in the Bank briefcase and cash it in for a guaranteed world title show at at any time over the next year. Kicking off the show in the Intuit Dome, WWE's ensemble of women's stars battled it out in an attempt to become the eighth 'Ms. Money in the Bank' in history, putting on quite the show in the process. But in the end, only one star reigned surpreme. For the first time ever, Naomi can call herself 'Ms. Money in the Bank.' It was no secret that Naomi, in the midst of the best run of her WWE career, was the overwhelming favorite to win the coveted Money in the Bank briefcase. She entered the pay-per-view with reports indicating that she was the top choice to win the match. And that's exactly what Naomi did for the first time in her career. Some of the key highlights of the women's ladder match were: Of course, the biggest highlight was Naomi's career-defining win. The odds-on betting favorite to capture the 2025 WWE Money in the Bank briefcase, Naomi earned this victory with a stellar character arc over the past few months. Naomi had spent all of 2025 feuding with Jade Cargill in one of WWE's best non-title women's feuds in recent memory, even making her way into a rare WrestleMania women's non-title bout. Especially in recent weeks, Naomi had reinvented herself as one of the most intriguing stars in all of WWE, and now, she has one full year to cash in her Money in the Bank briefcase and capture a world title. The most obvious potential cash-in for Naomi would be SmackDown's current WWE Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton. Stratton isn't clicking quite as well as expected as champion, and Naomi would be a fresh titleholder on the blue brand. Naomi cashing in on Stratton is a much more likely option than doing so on Iyo Sky, who is currently on the opposite brand, Raw. There is a ready made storyline for Naomi, who has plenty of history with Stratton, to cash in on SmackDown's current champion in the near future. That would potentially allow Naomi to seamlessly continue her storyline with one or two stars she's been joined at the hip with. Naomi has been connected with Jade Cargill, her WrestleMania opponent, and Bianca Belair, her former tag team partner, more than just about anyone in WWE. Both of those stars are strong candidates to be world champions in the near future, and if WWE decides to play the waiting game, then Naomi's Money in the Bank win could be saved for further down the road. There's no need to rush Naomi's cash-in, after all, and it would be quite the story if she finally cashed in that briefcase on either Cargill or Naomi. For now, Naomi will keep that WWE Money in the Bank briefcase by her side, but logic says that her guaranteed title shot will play a major role in her long-term storyline with Cargill and Belair.
