F1 Rookie Ranks Lewis Hamilton's Brazil 2021 Win the Greatest Moment Ever

F1 Rookie Ranks Lewis Hamilton's Brazil 2021 Win the Greatest Moment Ever originally appeared on Athlon Sports. F1 has turned 75 years old in 2025 and there are thousands of moments fans and drivers could choose from, but for one rising star on the grid, nothing beats Brazil 2021. Advertisement Speaking on the Beyond the Grid podcast, F1 rookie Isack Hadjar was asked to name his favorite moment from all of F1 history. His response? Unfiltered and unforgettable. 'I'm going to be so controversial now. And I love it,' Hadjar grinned. 'Brazil 2021. I'm a big Lewis fan. That was a BIG weekend. That was big. That was an amazing, amazing weekend.' It's a pick that still gives goosebumps to Hamilton fans. At the 2021 Sao Paulo Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton was disqualified from qualifying, started the sprint race from the back, charged through the field to P5, then started the main race from P10 and still won the race with one of the greatest drives in modern F1 history. Lewis Hamilton arrives in the paddock ahead of the Saudi Arabian weekend, Hamilton pulled off 24 overtakes in total and reignited the title fight with Max Verstappen in spectacular fashion. The crowd in Interlagos erupted. Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff slammed his headphones in celebration. Now racing in F1 himself, the young French driver's admiration for Hamilton is clear. And picking Brazil 2021 over decades of iconic races only underlines how that performance has become legend — not just for fans, but for the next generation of drivers. The Porsche Taycan Turbo GT Just Set Another Lap Record

The Porsche Taycan Turbo GT can add another lap record to its growing portfolio. Last month, the electric sedan set a new fast lap at Road Atlanta, beating the previous record by 6.73 seconds, which was set by a Taycan Turbo S. The Taycan Turbo GT lapped the 2.54-mile track in 1: 27.15 despite a few damp spots, setting a record for production electric vehicles. The car that set the new time was a Purple Sky 2025 Taycan equipped with the lightweight Weissach Package, which swaps the rear seats for a carbon fiber shelf and adds a fixed rear wing. The Taycan with the pack can have up to 485 pounds of downforce. Photo by: Porsche Photo by: Porsche Porsche introduced the Taycan Turbo GT over a year ago as the brand's most powerful car ever. The EV produces up to 1,092 horsepower, needing just 2.1 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour from a standstill. The standard output is 777 hp and 998 pound-feet of torque, which is still an astounding amount of power. Porsche completed its record run at Road Atlanta with the car's Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS NF0 summer performance tires set to 37 psi. The automaker also engaged Track Endurance Mode to lower the battery's starting temperature before the two attempts. Porsche set the previous record in 2020 with a Taycan Turbo S, completing a lap in 1:33.88. The Taycan Turbo GT's latest record arrives after the car ran a 1:42.1 at Brazil's Interlagos circuit in March. The car also set a record at the Nürburgring in early 2024 .
