Mariah Carey Earns Her First Solo Hit Song In A Decade

Several of her hits from that decade ruled for historically-long periods of time. Lately, Carey has spaced her releases further apart, and she doesn't land big wins like she used to. But the beloved singer is back on Billboard's ranking of the biggest songs in America this week with 'Type Dangerous,' which helps her return to the tally unaccompanied for the first time in years. 'Type Dangerous' opens at No. 95 on the Hot 100 this week. According to Billboard, the track earns Carey her first completely solo hit on the chart roster in a decade. The last time she debuted a tune on the tally without any other featured artists credited was in May 2015, when 'Infinity' arrived and peaked at No. 82. In the years since 'Infinity' debuted, Carey has pushed a handful of tracks onto the Hot 100, but all of them benefited from another artist being included. Her list of recent hits includes 'I Don't' with YG and 'Oh Santa!' alongside Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson. Those two tunes peaked at Nos. 89 and 76, respectively. Of course, Carey returns to the Hot 100 every holiday season with 'All I Want for Christmas Is You.' The track finds its way back to the tally sometimes in November, sometimes not until December, but for the past half-decade, it has risen all the way to No. 1 every year. The blockbuster has now accrued a total of 18 weeks ruling the list — a number that will surely climb again at the end of 2025. 'Type Dangerous' powers its way onto the Hot 100 thanks largely to a healthy sales sum. The single opens at No. 4 on the Digital Song Sales chart, with a little under 5,100 pure purchases, according to Luminate. That also sends it straight to No. 1 on both the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales and R&B Digital Song Sales tallies. It similarly opens inside the top 10 on a handful of other genre-focused rankings.

$230mn deal: Partners Group to acquire 75% of Infinity Fincorp
Mumbai: Swiss private equity firm Partners Group is set to acquire True North's controlling stake in Infinity Fincorp Solutions, a Mumbai-based non-banking financial company (NBFC), outbidding rivals Advent International and Creador, said people familiar with the matter. Partners Group will be buying 65% stake in Infinity, which offers micro loans against property , from Mumbai-based PE firm True North, the people said, adding it would also make a small primary capital infusion into the company. Upon completion of the deal, Partners is expected to own a total 70-75% of the shadow lender for about $230 million, the people said. Partners has signed an exclusivity agreement with True North and is expected to sign the shareholder agreement in the next few days, the people said. The transaction will also give a monetisation route to Infinity's angel investors. Founded in 2016 as a unit of National Bulk Handling Corporation with seed funding from Indium IV Holdings-a fund advised by True North, Infinity provides secured loans to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in underserved Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

Oceanco's New 364-Foot Megayacht Is One of Its Largest Vessels Yet
Oceanco's newest fleet member is one for the books. The simply named Y726 measures an imposing 364 feet, making it one of the largest vessels the Dutch shipyard has built to date. The newly launched megayacht will embark on sea trials in the coming months before it is officially delivered later this year, according to a statement shared by Oceanco on Saturday. The naval architecture was executed by Lateral Naval Architects, the Oceanco team, and the owner's long-time yachting representative, Dan Jackson, of Falcon Yacht Management. 'Through close collaboration with Oceanco and the project's design partners, Y726 stands as a testament not only to engineering enabling design at the highest level, but also to the power of collaboration as a catalyst for excellence.' Y726 has a beam of roughly 52 feet and an impressive displacement of 4,550 GT, meaning it ranks as one of the biggest Oceanco yachts by volume. The largest motor yacht in the Dutch yard's fleet is Infinity. Delivered in 2022, the epic 384-footer has a beam of 53 feet and a volume of 4,978 GT. Y726 is big, but Infinity is bigger. Oceanco is also behind the tallest sailing ship in the world, the 417-foot Koru, which reportedly belongs to billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Y726 offers more than just an incredible amount of space, of course. The newcomer is brimming with lavish amenities. The light and airy interior features a cinema lounge, a gym, a spa with sauna and steam room, and a beach club with a bar that opens directly onto the outdoor swim platform. The exterior is also home to an idyllic winter garden, a covered cocktail area, an outdoor cinema, a private owner's area with a Jacuzzi, and a multi-purpose entertainment zone with another Jacuzzi and a swimming pool. To top it off, the megayacht offers swish accommodations for up to 28 guests and 34 crew.
