Revealed: Man United will INCREASE general admission ticket prices next season - as Sir Jim Ratcliffe launches latest attempt to raise revenue

Manchester United are to charge up to £97 for a general admission matchday ticket next season. For the first time, the Premier League giants will introduce a 'categorisation' system for non-season ticket holders which will see games ranked by likely demand. And under the new pricing model, Category A games set to apply to the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal will see tickets offered from £59 to £97. United officials say less than one per cent of tickets sold across the season will be at the £97 mark and that they expect the average price will be £46, up £5 on last season. They also say the new prices mean United remain comparable with other Premier League clubs in the north-west and that prices are below those first proposed to fans' groups. Others in the Premier League are already in three figures, including Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Fulham. Concessions will return for those buying one-off tickets after they were controversially scrapped in the middle of last season. The changes are the latest attempt by the club to increase revenue following the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos last January. The minority co-owner has taken control of football operations and has embarked upon two redundancy programmes following a wide-ranging review. Season ticket prices were raised by five per cent, with United seeking to strike a balance between improving revenues but keeping games accessible. The other categories are B (£57-86), C (£37-£60) and D (£32-£52). D will only apply to cup fixtures.

Man Utd scout £20m star from Sir Jim Ratcliffe's Nice as Ruben Amorim demands more physical players in transfer window

MANCHESTER UNITED have been scouting a holding midfielder from fellow Ineos-owned club Nice as they consider cut-price options. United sent a scout to Sweden's international friendly against Algeria last week to check on the player, who has been tipped to leave the Ligue 1 club this summer. 4 4 The Red Devils' official went to Friends Arena in Solna to monitor Hicham Boudaoui, according to reports in Algeria. Despite coming off after an hour, with his team trailing 4-0, Boudaoui demonstrated why many in France think he is ready for the Premier League. The 25-year-old won all of his ground duels and looked unruffled when put under pressure inside Algeria's half. He also showed a great range of passing with one excellent switch of play out to the right flank. And he even came close to grabbing a goal with a drilled effort from the corner of the penalty area that flew only a yard or so wide of the far post. Boudaoui is coming off an excellent season in France in which he emerged as one of the best in Ligue 1 in his position. In figures published in April by Datascout, he came out on top among 49 defensive midfielders for sprinting speed, fourth for the number of accelerations and sixth for high-intensity distance covered. Ruben Amorim Old Trafford and Boudaoui certainly fits the bill. 4 The Red Devils were unable to sign players from Nice last summer because both clubs were set to feature in the Europa League. Sir Jim Ratcliffe agreed not to move any players between the clubs until September 2025 to satisfy Uefa's concerns over multi-club ownership. Man Utd stars 'intimidated' by weight of shirt but can still thrive after leaving like McTominay, says Angel Gomes That means any deal for Boudaoui cannot take place until the final day of the summer transfer window with the deadline for Premier League clubs set for 7pm on September 1. Other Premier League clubs have been sniffing around while reports in France have linked Boudaoui, who has two years left on his contract, with unnamed clubs in Spain and Germany. Nice could demand £20m for the midfielder but transfer funds are likely to be tight at Old Trafford. United have already splurged £62.5m on Matheus Cunha and may now need to sell in order to finance further high-profile transfers. 4

Tottenham's transfer budget and two top targets with Thomas Frank as new manager

Tottenham Hotspur have hired former Brentford boss Thomas Frank as Ange Postecoglou's replacement following his dismissal - despite the Australian winning the Europa League and securing a Champions League spot Thomas Frank will be given big money to spend this summer to help rebuild Tottenham. Tottenham are already among the Premier League's big spenders but desperately need signings to revive their fortunes and boost their Champions League campaign. They have got Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo on their hit-list after his stand-out season on the South Coast. Spurs are unlikely to be the only suitors for Semenyo but his pace, creativity and threat has made him one of the Premier League 's most promising players. ‌ Bryan Mbeumo was a firm favourite with Frank at Brentford but Manchester United believe they are in the driving seat. They are prepared to back the Dane heavily in the transfer market but there are still unlikely to be superstar signings because they have shied away of spending £100m-plus on a player. ‌ But they are ready to strengthen the squad and bring in new faces but there will also be departures with Richarlison likely to go as his £60m move has proved to be another underwhelming transfer for Spurs. His former club Everton are one of several clubs linked with a cut-price move for the Brazilian. Frank's arrival at Spurs comes as Tottenham have filed High Court proceedings against Manchester United co-owner Jim Ratcliffe's company Ineos over a terminated sponsorship agreement. Court records show Spurs filed a commercial claim at the High Court against Ineos Automotive on Thursday, though no documents are available. Chemicals firm Ineos agreed a five-year deal with Spurs in 2022 – before Ratcliffe bought a stake in United – for Ineos Grenadier to become the London team's official 4×4 vehicle partner. Ineos said in a statement: 'Ineos Automotive has been a partner of Tottenham Hotspur since 2022, expanding on a partnership agreement that Ineos Group had in place with the club since 2020. We have a contractual right to terminate our partnership contract and in December 2024 exercised that right.' In March it was announced Ineos had reached a settlement with New Zealand Rugby in relation to a sponsorship deal. The previous month, NZR had said it had launched legal proceedings against Ineos after alleging that the first instalment of 2025 sponsorship money due under a six-year agreement struck in 2021 had not been paid. Man Utd Co-Owner Ineos Sued By Rival Spurs in Commercial Row

Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and the billionaire co-owner of Manchester United are embroiled in a legal battle in London's High Court after a commercial deal turned sour. Spurs have lodged a legal claim against Ineos Automotive Limited, the car business that's part of Jim Ratcliffe's Ineos empire. Details of the claim aren't yet available, but the dispute relates to 'general commercial contracts and arrangements,' according to the court filing, which was dated June 12.
