While the video has got everyone talking about the event, fashion enthusiasts could not get over Nita's sindoori red Banarasi silk saree. The Reliance Foundation's chairperson captivated the audience with her stunning ensemble that celebrated Indian craftsmanship on a global platform. In the video, Nita Ambani donned a red Banarasi silk saree. The saree featured intricate gold brocade embroidery along with broad double gold borders that added richness to the ensemble. Draped in a classic style, the six yards were pleated neatly at the front, while the pallu was gracefully draped over her shoulder and pinned elegantly at the arm. Nita paired the saree with a coordinating red silk blouse adorned with vertical gold thread embroidery. The blouse came with half sleeves. It was adorned with brocade detailing at the cuffs, a wide U-shaped neckline, and a cropped hem that added a modern touch to the traditional silhouette. She completed her look with striking gold jewellery – a statement necklace with a large pendant, matching earrings, traditional rings, and stacked kadhas. Her hair was styled in a sleek, centre-parted bun, accentuated by a red bindi. For the glam, she opted for bold brows, kohl-rimmed eyes, sharp black eyeliner, voluminous lashes, a hint of blush, luminous highlighter, and glossy coral-pink lips. According to an official statement, the weekend will commence on September 12, at the David H Koch Theatre, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, with the highly anticipated US premiere of India's largest theatrical production, 'The Great Indian Musical: Civilisation to Nation'. This production will blend dance, art, fashion, and music, and is a tribute to India's past, present and future across its history from 5000 BC until its independence in 1947, as per the statement. It will feature a cast of more than 100 performers, opulent costumes and larger-than-life sets with a limited run of five performances, it said. The opening night will commence with an invite-only red carpet – 'Grand Swagat' (Grand Welcome) – featuring the 'Swadesh Fashion Show Curated by Manish Malhotra', spotlighting India's traditional weaves and artisans, as per the statement. The evening will have a special presentation of cuisines and flavours from ancient to modern India, presented by Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna, it said. The NMACC India Weekend will also take over Damrosch Park from September 12 to 14, bringing alive enthralling and engaging experiences in the form of a 'Great Indian Bazaar', the statement read.
