Milan have reportedly rejected an opening Chelsea offer for Mike Maignan, but the Rossoneri have also 'booked' a potential replacement: Torino's Vanja Milinkovic-Savic. Milan meet with Mile Svilar's entourage
Milan are serious in their pursuit of Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar. With Mike Maignan nearing a move to Chelsea, Milan have reportedly shifted their focus on Svilar who is in talks to extend his contract with Roma. Italian journalist Nicolo Schira reports that Milan director Igli Tare met with Svilar's entourage a few days ago. The Rossoneri are prepared to submit him a contract proposal of 3.3 million euros per year until 2030. Roma must accelerate in their talks if they want to secure the player's long-term future.

Milan set to sign Igli Tare as sporting director
After a dismal Serie A season which has seen them miss out on European football, Milan are already looking towards next season. There are expected to be many outgoings and ingoings in terms of players and a new manager is expected to come in as well. The first order of business however to is to bring in a sporting director. Milan were in negotiations with Fabio Paratici but that deal fell through. Now it does seem that they have made positive progress in bringing in Igli Tare, as per . The former Lazio man has had some meetings with board members such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and CEO Giorgio Furlani, according to reports. Tare's CV at Lazio makes for quite some reading. He signed Luis Alberto on a cheap deal and he became a crucial cog in the manager Simone Inzaghi's system. Sergej Milinkovic – Savic was also signed by him and sold for a good fee. Miroslav Klose arrived on free and established himself in Lazio folklore. However the best signing of his in Rome has been Ciro Immobile, who left as one of the best strikers to play in Serie A. Luka Modric 'nearing move to European giant after verbal agreement with legendary midfielder to leave Real Madrid after the Club World Cup'
Luka Modric could be set to join another one of Europe's great clubs when he leaves Real Madrid later this summer. After 13 years at the Bernabeu, Modric will depart following the Club World Cup. Real Madrid icon could be heading to Hong Kong for Football Festival
Hong Kong fans may get to see Real Madrid icon Luka Modric in action during July's Football Festival, according to sources. The Post understands AC Milan, who face Liverpool at Kai Tak Stadium on July 26, are interested in signing the Croatia midfielder. Sky Italia, meanwhile, report a deal is close and that new Milan sporting director Igli Tare travelled to Croatia to speak to the player in a bid to reach a verbal agreement. Modric, 39, will end his trophy-laden, 13-year spell with Real Madrid following this summer's Fifa Club World Cup in the United States. Having joined Los Blancos from Tottenham Hotspur in 2012, he won the Champions League on six occasions – starting in each final. In total, he won 28 trophies during his time in the Spanish capital, including the La Liga title on four occasions.
