SEWA obtains ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 certification

This achievement follows the completion of the project's implementation by the Strategy and Corporate Development Department, which supervised the implementation of the project during the first quarter of 2025 across several SEWA departments, in collaboration with the Occupational Health and Safety Department, in accordance with the required standards. The project aims to improve and develop services, implement best practices, and comply with international policies, enhancing the work environment and raising the level of institutional performance and business continuity. Innovation and quality at the heart of SEWA Majid Issa Hureimel Al Shamsi, Executive Director of Corporate Support at SEWA, emphasised that the project falls within the authority's vision and strategy of innovation and quality, and continues to work on implementing further initiatives that support the provision of the best work environment and the development of corporate services. Al Shamsi pointed out that the authority obtained the ISO 45001:2018 certification for Occupational Health and Safety after applying the standards and specifications to six departments within the authority, including the Central Warehouses, Control and Supervision, Natural Gas, Energy Transmission, Kalba Administration, and Khorfakkan Administration. The authority also obtained the ISO 14001:2015 certification for Environmental Management System after applying the standards and specifications to the Electricity Production Department (Al Layyah Power Plant).
