Royal Ascot day 4 full race card and tips - list of runners on Friday
Royal Ascot has been a battle between Aidan O'Brien and the John and Thady Gosden team so far, with both camps responsible for five winners each heading into the penultimate day of the meeting. They will both be expected to add to their respective tallies over the next two days, but it is other powerhouse stables who have the market leaders in Friday's two Group Ones - the Commonwealth Cup and the Coronation Stakes. Charlie Appleby is seeking his first winner of the week and Shadow Of Light could give him it in the Commonwealth Cup. The 2,000 Guineas third is being backed for the first Group 1 of the day, with his jockey William Buick riding brilliantly this week. Juddmonte are doubly represented in the six furlong contest and Babouche, a recent Group 3 winner at Naas for Ger Lyons, might just be the best of their chances under Colin Keane, while the Andrew Balding-trained Jonquil is partnered by leading France-based Belgian jockey Christophe Soumillon. Meanwhile, French runner Zarigana looks set to go off favourite for trainer Francis-Henri Graffard in the Coronation Stakes, with Mickael Barzalona taking the ride. The French 1,000 Guineas winner is vying for favoritism with Pretty Polly Stakes victor Falakeyah, while Aidan O'Brien's January is being backed, having finished eighth behind stablemate Lake Victoria in the Irish 1,000 Guineas last month. Here's a full list of the runners and riders, as well as a tip for each race: 2.30pm: 6f Albany Stakes (Group 3) (Fillies) (Class 1) (2yo) 1 Awaken (IRE) B Loughnane2 Balantina (IRE) Tom Marquand3 Bibi Dahl (USA) U Rispoli4 Fairy Oak Colin Keane5 Fitzella Oisin Murphy6 Gold Digger (IRE) Jamie Spencer7 Green Sense (IRE) Dylan McMonagle8 Indigo Dawn (IRE) Pat Dobbs9 Ipanema Queen (IRE) David Egan10 Magny Cours (IRE) Mickael Barzalona11 Nandita (IRE) William Buick12 Oh Cecelia (IRE) James Ryan13 Senorita Vega (IRE) Richard Kingscote14 Signora (IRE) Ryan Moore15 Spinning Lizzie Kieran Shoemark16 Tahalel (IRE) Sean Levey17 Venetian Sun (IRE) Clifford Lee Tip: Ipanema Queen 3.05pm: 6f Commonwealth Cup (Group 1) (No Geldings) (Class 1) (3yo) 1 Ain't Nobody (IRE) Tom Eaves2 Arabie Clifford Lee3 Arizona Blaze David Egan4 Berkshire Whisper (IRE) Kieran Shoemark5 Big Mojo (IRE) Hollie Doyle6 Diablo Rojo (IRE) Rossa Ryan7 Ides Of March (IRE) Wayne Lordan8 Jonquil Christophe Soumillon9 Shadow Of Light William Buick10 Soldier's Heart Callum Shepherd11 Strong Warrior Oisin Orr12 Whistlejacket (IRE) Ryan Moore13 Arabian Dusk Harry Davies14 Babouche Colin Keane15 Carla Ridge (IRE) Chris Hayes16 Lady With The Lamp (IRE) Dylan McMonagle17 Leovanni (IRE) James Doyle18 Rayevka (IRE) Mickael Barzalona19 Sayidah Dariyan (IRE) B Loughnane20 Shisospicy (USA) Oisin Murphy21 Sky Majesty (IRE) Tom Marquand22 Time For Sandals (IRE) Richard Kingscote Tip: Shadow Of Light 3.40pm: 1m4f (1m3f211y) Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes (Handicap) (GBBPlus Race) (Class 2) (3yo+ 0-105) 1 Teumessias Fox (IRE) P J McDonald2 Flight Leader Saffie Osborne3 See Hector (GER) Pat Dobbs4 Caviar Heights (IRE) Tom Marquand5 Mutaawid Jim Crowley6 Naqeeb (IRE) R Sexton7 Hand Of God William Buick8 Mount Atlas Rob Hornby9 Stressfree (FR) Daniel Tudhope10 Max Mayhem Mickael Barzalona11 Siege Of Troy Oisin Murphy12 French Duke (IRE) James Doyle13 War Rooms (IRE) Colin Keane14 Almosh'her Clifford Lee15 Auld Toon Loon (IRE) Pierre Jamin16 Brodure (IRE) Christophe Soumillon17 Blue Lemons (IRE) B Loughnane18 Ethical Diamond (IRE) Ryan Moore19 Satin Shane Foley20 HMS President (IRE) Reserve 121 Crystal Flyer Reserve 222 Cumulonimbus (IRE) Reserve 3 Tip: Mutaawid 4.20pm: 1m (7f213y) (Rnd) Coronation Stakes (Group 1) (Fillies) (Class 1) (3yo) 1 Cathedral David Egan2 Cercene (IRE) Gary Carroll3 Chantilly Lace (IRE) Rossa Ryan4 Duty First Hollie Doyle5 Exactly (IRE) Wayne Lordan6 Falakeyah Jim Crowley7 Flight Oisin Murphy8 January (IRE) Ryan Moore9 Kon Tiki William Buick10 Simmering Dylan McMonagle11 Zarigana Mickael Barzalona Tip: Zarigana 5.00pm: 1m (Str) Sandringham Stakes (Fillies' Handicap) (Class 2) (3yo 0-105) 1 Tabiti Colin Keane2 Betty Clover William Buick3 Serving With Style Clifford Lee4 Mojave River (FR) Dylan McMonagle5 Bountiful B Loughnane6 Silver Ghost (IRE) Sean Levey7 Sweet Chariot (IRE) Ryan Moore8 Amangani (IRE) Wayne Lordan9 Nancy J (IRE) Shane Foley10 Supermodel (IRE) Tom Marquand11 Miss Nightfall Oisin Murphy12 Never Let Go Kieran Shoemark13 Zgharta (IRE) Hollie Doyle14 Trad Jazz Harry Davies15 Oolong Poobong (IRE) Connor Beasley16 Saariselka Mickael Barzalona17 Cartwheel Andrew Slattery18 Dash Of Azure Richard Kingscote19 Cajole Saffie Osborne20 Sea Poetry (IRE) Trevor Whelan21 Purple Rainbow Warren Fentiman (5)22 Annsar Jack Doughty23 Bassadanza Joe Fanning24 Dancing Teapot (IRE) Chris Hayes25 Alfareqa David Probert26 Ryka (IRE) S D Bowen27 Arabian Leopard Silvestre De Sousa28 Eazy On The Eye Grace McEntee Tip: Alfareqa 5.35pm: 1m4f (1m3f211y) King Edward VII Stakes (Group 2) (Colts & Geldings) (Class 1) (3yo) 1 Amiloc Rossa Ryan2 Convergent (IRE) Clifford Lee3 Galveston Wayne Lordan4 Green Storm (IRE) B Loughnane5 Minhad Tom Marquand6 Nightwalker Colin Keane7 Opportunity James Doyle8 Puppet Master (IRE) Ryan Moore9 Regal Ulixes Oisin Murphy10 Wimbledon Hawkeye Silvestre De Sousa11 Zahrann (IRE) Ben Coen Tip: Amiloc 6.10pm: 5f Palace Of Holyroodhouse Stakes (Handicap) (Class 2) (3yo 0-105) 1 Hammer The Hammer (IRE) Tom Eaves2 Mr Lightside (IRE) Kevin Stott3 Jungle Drums (IRE) Saffie Osborne4 Candy George Wood5 Miss Lamai (IRE) Clifford Lee6 Maw Lam (IRE) Jack Nicholls (7)7 Zayer (IRE) Hollie Doyle8 Stormy Impact Warren Fentiman (5)9 Redorange Rossa Ryan10 Bodhi Bear (IRE) Seamie Heffernan11 King's Call (IRE) D Swift12 Realign (FR) James Doyle13 Ruby's Profit (IRE) Kieran Shoemark14 Enola Holmes (IRE) David Probert15 Arctic Voyage Richard Kingscote16 Vingegaard (IRE) R Sexton17 Englemere (IRE) B Loughnane18 Red Sand (IRE) Tom Marquand19 Dark Cloud Rising Daniel Tudhope20 Suhail Star (IRE) Ashley Lewis (7)21 King Of Light Shane Foley22 King Of Bears (IRE) Callum Shepherd23 Adrestia Oisin Murphy24 Jorge Alvares (IRE) Colin Keane25 Brosay Edward Greatrex26 Brighton Boy (IRE) William Buick27 Lexington Blitz (IRE) Sean Levey28 Mearall (IRE) Shane Gray29 An Outlaw's Grace (IRE) Reserve 130 Topwarrior Reserve 231 Gold Star Hero (IRE) Reserve 3 Tip: Realign

Royal Ascot continues on Wednesday, with seven more races taking place at the prestigious meeting. Meanwhile, the feature contest on day two is Group 1 Prince Of Wales's Stakes and sees Los Angeles and Anmaat renew their rivalry after the former triumphed by half a length when they clashed in the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh last month. Bowlers Nightmares: Most Runs Conceded in One T20I Spell, One Indian Bowler In The List; Check Here
photoDetails english 2916976 Updated:Jun 16, 2025, 06:52 PM IST Record Breaking Run Leaks 1 / 8 T20Is are brutal for bowlers, but some days are worse than others. Here are the costliest bowling spells in T20I history ( only from Full Member nations). LIAM MCCARTHY (IRE) 2 / 8 Liam McCarthy conceded 81 runs in 4 overs vs West Indies in Bready, finishing with 0 wickets. It was a forgettable outing for the Irish pacer against a powerful Calypso batting lineup. KASUN RAJITHA (SL) 3 / 8 Kasun Rajitha was taken apart for 75 runs in 4 overs without a wicket against Australia in Adelaide. The Sri Lankan bowler struggled to find his rhythm on a challenging pitch BARRY MCCARTHY (IRE) 4 / 8 Barry McCarthy leaked 69 runs in 4 overs with no wickets against Afghanistan in Greater Noida. It was a belter pitch and bowlers had nothing to offer. PRASIDH KRISHNA (IND) 5 / 8 Prasidh Krishna gave away 68 runs in 4 overs without a wicket vs South Africa in Johannesburg. The Indian pacer faced the full force of the Proteas' hitting. KYLE ABBOTT (SA) 6 / 8 Kyle Abbott conceded 68 runs in 4 overs, but took 1 wicket against Australia in Guwahati. Despite the wicket, it was a challenging day at the office for the South African. Bowling Figures 7 / 8 Liam McCarthy: 4-0-81-0 Kasun Rajitha: 4-0-75-0 Barry McCarthy: 4-0-69-0 Prasidh Krishna: 4-0-68-0 Kyle Abbott: 4-0-68-1 AUSTRALIA : THE COMMON OPPONENT 8 / 8 Australia appears in 3 of these 5 spells, proving again why they're a nightmare for bowlers in T20Is. They have always implented the intentful batting taking on bowlers from powerplay itself.

The umpires' inspection confirmed the conditions were unfit for play. The series now hinges on the final match, scheduled to take place at the same venue in less than 24 hours, effectively making it a one-match decider. Jun 14, 2025 20:40 IST UPDATE – 15.11 GMT – The match officials are strolling around and having a look at the pitch and the conditions as the covers still remain in place while the water is being mopped off it. It has got a bit brighter, but the drizzle persists. Jun 14, 2025 20:19 IST UPDATE – 14.49 GMT – It looks like another frustrating waiting game is in store. But not so far away in the other part of the UK, South Africa registered a historic WTC Final win, beating Australia by five wickets. Their years of agony and heartbreak have finally come to an end. It's their first-ever ICC title win since 1998 as well. Kudos to the Proteas team. Jun 14, 2025 19:49 IST UPDATE – 14.19 GMT – It's a steady drizzle now with the pitch and the square firmly under the covers. The umpires will have another inspection at 15.00 GMT. Jun 14, 2025 19:35 IST UPDATE – 14.03 GMT – The rain seems to have eased off a bit with the groundsmen doing their bit to remove water from the covers. It still looks pretty damp. The pitch inspection is around the corner, but we might be in for a longer delay. Stay tuned. Jun 14, 2025 19:06 IST UPDATE – 13.33 GMT -The toss has been delayed due to wet weather conditions, but let's hope that the conditions improve and we get some action. Jun 14, 2025 18:32 IST Hello and welcome to our coverage of the second T20I in the three-match series between Ireland and the West Indies, from the Bready Cricket Club. With the opening game washed out due to rain, all eyes will be on the weather once again as both teams gear up for a crucial clash in the shortest format. Jun 14, 2025 18:31 IST On the other hand, the West Indies arrive with something to prove. Despite a recent T20I whitewash at the hands of England, they impressed in the ODIs against Ireland last month and have retained much of that squad. Power-hitters like Rovman Powell, Shimron Hetmyer, and Evin Lewis bring firepower with the bat, while the bowling attack featuring Akeal Hosein, Jason Holder, and Alzarri Joseph has the pace and variety to trouble any lineup. So, can Ireland upset the odds and take the lead, or will the Men in Maroon bounce back and dominate the series? Stick tuned. Toss and team news coming up shortly! Jun 14, 2025 18:31 IST Ireland, led by Paul Stirling, have named a well-balanced squad. The experienced core of Mark Adair, Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, and George Dockrell will be key, while emerging talents like Liam McCarthy, Ross Adair, and Matthew Humphreys will be eager to make an impact when given the opportunity. The hosts will be hoping to land a blow and tilt the momentum in what's now a shortened series. Jun 13, 2025 19:20 IST With the frustrations of a washed-out series opener behind them, Ireland and the West Indies will shift their focus to the Bready Cricket Club in Bready for the second T20I. The abandonment of the first match at the same venue without a ball being bowled has effectively turned this three-match contest into a two-game shootout, raising the stakes for both sides as they seek to gain a crucial advantage. The weather will once again be a key talking point, with the forecast in Bready being closely monitored. Both teams will be desperate to get onto the park and showcase their skills after the damp squib of the first T20I. For Ireland, the series presents a significant opportunity to test their mettle against a full-member nation on home soil. However, their preparations have been hampered by the absence of several key players. The hosts will be without the services of experienced pacer Craig Young, and all-rounders Curtis Campher and Gareth Delany. In a further blow, star left-arm fast bowler Josh Little has been ruled out of the series with a niggle and has been replaced by Graham Hume. These absences will undoubtedly test the depth of the Irish squad, placing more responsibility on the shoulders of captain Paul Stirling, the explosive George Dockrell, and the ever-reliable Harry Tector. The West Indies, on the other hand, arrived in Ireland on the back of a tough tour of England, where they suffered defeats in both the ODI and T20I series. They will be eager to bounce back and assert their dominance over the Irish. The return of the dynamic left-handed batsman Shimron Hetmyer to the T20I squad adds significant firepower to their middle order. Hetmyer's ability to clear the ropes with ease could be a game-changer. The Windies will be looking for a more clinical performance, with the likes of Johnson Charles, Sherfane Rutherford, and the all-round prowess of Jason Holder and Romario Shepherd expected to play pivotal roles. The head-to-head record between the two sides in T20Is is surprisingly even, adding another layer of intrigue to the contest. In the nine matches played between them, both Ireland and the West Indies have registered three wins apiece, with the other three encounters ending in no results. This parity suggests that on their day, Ireland is more than capable of springing a surprise on the two-time T20 World Cup champions.
