Tufani, who's also a sitting MLA from the Samajwadi Party, spoke to ANI and said that both Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj sought their parents' permission. He also confirmed that the engagement has not taken place yet, and only the initial talks have taken place. "Both the children have expressed their desire to get married and have sought our permission for the same. The engagement has not taken place yet. Initial talks have taken place in this regard," Tufani Saroj had told ANI. Rinku had quite an ordinary IPL 2025 campaign with KKR, scoring 206 runs at an average of 29.42 and a strike-rate of 153.73. The Knight Riders had a forgettable season that saw them finish eighth in the table with 12 points and a net run rate of -0.305, winning just 5 out of 14 matches. Rinku is also an important member of India's T20I side. In 30 T20I matches and 22 innings, Rinku has scored 507 runs at an average of 46.09 and a strike rate of 165.14, with three half-centuries. He's yet to smash his maiden T20I century. The 27-year-old made his T20I debut against Ireland in 2023. Rinku has featured in two ODIs for India and holds pretty impressive List-A numbers. The southpaw has garnered 1,899 runs in 52 innings, averaging 48.69 while striking at 94.8. His excellent numbers include one hundred and 17 half-centuries.

Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul catch Vijay Mallya's attention for RCB: ‘If I had these 4…'
His team may finally have gotten its hands on an IPL trophy after having to wait patiently for 18 long years, but that doesn't mean former Royal Challengers Bengaluru owner Vijay Mallya still has some ambitions for the team he founded all the way back in 2008. In the days following RCB's IPL 2025 Final victory over Punjab Kings, Mallya has spoken a lot about the early days of RCB and the long process to get to this point and lifting the trophy, in their fourth final. Mallya also answered a question regarding if there were a limit on players who could purchase for RCB in the auction, who they would be. Mallya had a prompt answer, naming four names and clearly indicating who he sees as the best cricketers in the country at the moment. "If dreams could come true, Jasprit Bumrah. If dreams could come true Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul. If I had these four I wouldn't need anybody else and would definitely win the trophy," said Mallya on Raj Shamani's podcast. While RCB once called local boy KL Rahul their own, they have never been able to call the other three players their own. Pant, Kumar, and Bumrah were all part of India's T20 World Cup winning squad in 2024, and are seen as the backbone of the national team for years to come. Nevertheless, it was someone Bangalore has always had in their team that did win them the league, as Mallya's investment in the potential and the youth of Virat Kohli in 2008 has been repaid ten-fold with what a servant Kohli has become for the team. In 2025, Kohli was RCB's top-scorer yet again, the spine of the team while players such as Phil Salt, Josh Hazlewood, and Jitesh Sharma amongst many others stood up and performed. 'When I founded RCB it was my dream that the IPL trophy should come to Bengaluru,' Mallya had written on his X profile after RCB's win in Ahmedabad. 'I had the privilege of picking the legendary King Kohli as a youngster and it is remarkable that he has stayed with RCB for 18 years.'

Yash Dayal reflects on RCB players helping Virat Kohli achieve IPL glory: ‘Whatever is done for him is less'
In the days following Royal Challengers Bengaluru's maiden IPL win, after the beat Punjab Kings by six runs in IPL 2025 Final in Ahmedabad, there has been plenty of cause for celebration for cricket fans all over the world, but especially amongst the players themselves. This extends especially to some players who have grown up watching Virat Kohli, idolised the great man, and now earnt an opportunity to play alongside him. It was evident in RCB's celebrations that this victory meant just a little bit more because the team could help Kohli finally get his hands on that elusive IPL trophy, after 18 long years. As Kohli broke down in tears, his teammates flooded towards him to celebrate. Trying to explain the cause for such sentiment, Kohli's teammate and one of RCB's most important players in the last two years, Yash Dayal, spoke about how it was important to the players as well. "Whatever is done for Virat bhaiya is very less. He has given this franchise 18 years and has seen so many ups and downs. And we are very happy to have won the trophy and want to repeat it in the future also,' said Dayal in an interview with Times of India. Dayal was one of the three players RCB retained before the IPL 2025 season, with captain Rajat Patidar and Kohli himself being the other two. Having been part of RCB's dramatic journey to the title, Dayal also played a crucial role once there, bowling the 18th over and only conceding 5 runs to ensure RCB were favourites for the match. Dayal also credited his senior pace bowling partners for the influence they had on his growth, picking out Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood. 'Bhuvi bhaiya and Josh Hazlewood joining the team after the auction made my work very easy. I was stress-free and as a unit, we followed simple bowling plans and stuck to them.' Dayal also mentioned that Hazlewood in particular helped him tighten his game up, becoming more consistent with his lines and lengths and therefore more of a threat with the ball. 'What I have learned from Josh is to bowl at the perfect spot. The top of off-stump with pace. What we say is bowling on a coin without consistently being erratic,' concluded Dayal.

Last Updated: AP Dhillon, who attended the IPL 2025 Final between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, wore a round-collared grey T-shirt and a pair of camouflage pants. AP Dhillon has made waves after his recent collaboration with Indo-Canadian rapper Shinda Kahlon, titled STFU. The song has struck the right chord with the masses. A black watch and white sneakers sealed his casual avatar. Soon, a fan approached him requesting a picture. He was accompanied by one of his friends.
