As the Love Island girls constantly call Yasmin out, why don't they hold the men accountable instead?

Yep, it's happened. Once again on Love Island the girls are insisting on treating the new bombshell badly, rather than holding the men in the Villa accountable, as the girls continue to call out bombshell Yasmin over her flirty behaviour with Harry. And honestly, it's getting really sad to see. ICYMI, earlier tonight [19 June] saw Yasmin and Harry share a secret kiss in the Hideaway. The pair are both coupled up with other people. Harry with Helena, and Yasmin with Shea. But they had both said to their other halves they were open to getting to know other people, which both Helena and Shea agreed to as well. Following their time in the Hideaway a lot of the afternoon was spent with the other Islanders questioning if the pair had kissed, which they denied. However, during the evening's game, where the Islander's quotes were said out-loud to the rest of the group, Harry eventually confessed to kissing Yasmin in the Hideaway. While a lot of the Islanders were furious with Harry, Yasmin didn't get away unscathed. Earlier in the episode Helena had called Yasmin "boring" after she had a conversation with Harry, and later on both she and Meg declared Yasmin "wasn't a threat" after she spoke to the boys they were coupled up with. It's a sad, but familiar pattern that has happened each year on Love Island, and already occured once this season when Malisha entered the Villa. Rather than getting to know new girl Malisha, Meg was hostile towards the bombshell, while she was getting to know Dejon, who Meg was coupled up with. But at no point was her anger or frustration focussed on Dejon. No, instead Malisha and Meg ended up screaming at each other across the Villa. And again in tonight's episode, there was a lot of tension in the air directed at Yasmin, with the other girls talking about her behind her back while getting ready for the evening. Yes, it's an emotional situation and it's clear people are invested in their romantic situations, despite claiming they're "open". And there times when Yasmin could consider the other girls' feelings, such as when she added that she and Harry had kissed "three times" in the Hideaway, not just once. However, that doesn't mean the girls should be slagging each other off, when in reality Yasmin and Malisha are doing what they're meant to do as bombshells. It's week two and they've come in and made it their mission to speak the boys, who BTW are beyond receptive to it and are in fact lapping it up. However, rather than address the men they are in couples with, the existing girls are placing the blame on the new women. It's a tired old narrative that feeds into the idea of women as temptresses and man-stealers. In reality maybe they should be holding the men accountable, who are often the ones pursuing the new girls, making the moves and kissing them first. Let's not forget Harry has tried to get to know Sophie, Shakira, Helena and Yasmin within the space of 10 days. And yet Yasmin is the problem? Yeah something's not adding up. As Yasmin pointed out during tonight's fire pit, "How am I chasing him when he's saying it about me?" after the girls called her out for responding to a flirty comment Harry made to her. Fans have also been feeling similarly online, with many labelling the girls' behaviour towards Yasmin as unfair and questioning why they aren't holding the men to account. One person wrote on X: "Girls having a go at Yasmin ! She's not the problem." While another said: "And yet they tried to make it seem like Yas was the problem. It's Harry. Hold these fugly men accountable." Another added: "The girls keep coming for Yasmin instead of THE MAN WHO IS THE PROBLEM??? #LoveIslandUK #LoveIsland." And another made the point: "Meg and the other girls are being so awful to Yasmin it's actually becoming hard to watch." And they're right - it is really hard to watch. Over the years Love Island has produced some great examples of female friendship (Kaz and Liberty, Harriett and Grace, Maura and Molly-Mae) with the connections often lasting far longer than the romantic ones. Yes, it's Love Island, not Friend Island as everyone likes to point out, but why can't the women support and show up for each other, rather than slag each other off in the hopes of impressing the men? Right now, we'll just take what we can get and be grateful for Toni having Yasmin's back. Love Island continues on ITV2 and ITVX

When is the next full moon? And why is it called the 'strawberry moon'?

The next full moon is nearly here, and it's the final one of this spring. Here's when you can see it. The next full moon, a so-called "strawberry moon," will be visible on June 11 at 3:44 a.m., according to the Old Farmer's Almanac. Ahead of the full moon, the first quarter moon appeared June 2 at 11:41 p.m., to be followed by the last quarter moon June 18 at 3:19 p.m. and a new moon June 25 at 6:31 a.m. June's full moon is the strawberry moon, named after the small wild strawberries that ripen at this time of the year, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac. Approximately every 20 years, the strawberry moon coincides with the summer solstice, which occurs on June 20, 21, or 22. June's is to be the lowest full moon visible in the Northern Hemisphere until 2043, meaning that the moon will stay closer to the horizon, making it appear larger than usual. The strawberry moon is also known as the 'hot moon,' 'green corn moon' and 'berries ripen moon' to Native American tribes; the 'horse moon,' 'rose moon' and 'dyan moon' in Celtic culture; and the 'mead moon' to Anglo-Saxons, a nod to the moon occurring during a time of year meant for mowing the meads, or meadows, according to ICYMI: South Jersey's prom scene was quite a sight. Here are some of the looks that stood out. Looking ahead, July's full moon is called the 'buck moon' and is to be visible July 10 at 4:36 p.m. It signifies the new antlers that emerge on a deer buck's forehead around this time of year after they shed their previous pair, the Farmers' Almanac has reported.
