EXCLUSIVE Insider reveals truth of Hulk Hogan 'deathbed' rumor... and why the WWE icon now has the 'body of a 140-year-old'

Hulk Hogan has 'the body of a 140-year-old man' after his wrestling career, a source tells the Daily Mail. Earlier this week a Florida radio host sparked fears over Hogan's wellbeing when he inaccurately claimed the WWE icon was on his deathbed in a hospital. Radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge said live on air that a 'pretty damn reliable' source had told him Hogan - whose real name is Terry Bollea - was in such bad health that he 'might not make it' and his family had been called in to say their goodbyes. After TMZ Sports shut down that claim by alleging that he was only in the hospital to address lingering neck and back issues, US Weekly later reported that the 71-year-old recently underwent 'pretty serious' heart surgery. However, the Daily Mail understands he was not having treatment for any heart issues, and rumors that he is close to dying are bogus. Hogan - who was embroiled in a shocking family feud with his ex-wife Linda and estranged daughter Brooke earlier this year - is instead trying to work his way back to '100 percent' after neck and back operations. 'Hulk has a body ravaged by wrestling, his body is the body of a 140-year-old man with all the bumps and bruises through the years, and his recent neck and back surgeries have been harder to come back from,' a source close to Hogan said. 'But the rumors of heart issues is not a thing, and talk of him dying is farfetched. He is just having some struggle and trouble to get back to being 100 percent faster. 'He is getting older, he still is in good shape, works out. But he's a beaten man, just trying to get as right as possible. 'Obviously, he will never wrestle again, but it isn't because he is dying, it is because his bones are deteriorated.' Hogan's physical and mental condition likely came under strain during his very public fallout with his ex-wife and daughter back in March. In an astonishing video on social media, Linda first accused her former husband of being a 'complete liar' and 'sex addict'. She also claimed their family is 'in the worst mess' after Brooke cut both parents out of her life, before hitting back at her mom by alleging that her dad was not the only reason behind the shocking family divide, claiming she was 'verbally and mentally abused' during her childhood. 'Sadly, it would frequently turn physical. And sometimes it's not by the person you would assume, abuse comes in all shapes and sizes,' Brooke alleged. After Brooke's stunning response, Linda then took a dramatic U-turn by defending Hogan and branding her daughter a 'narcissist.' Hogan and Linda were married for 26 years between 1983 and 2009. They have two children together: Brooke, 36, and Nick, 34. Hogan remarried in 2010, tying the knot with Jennifer McDaniel, but they split 11 years later. He married his third wife - Sky Daily - in 2023, in a ceremony that Brooke did not attend. A month after his family spat, the wrestling great did spark fears over his health after making a bizarre appearance on Fox News. Fans were left concerned when he appeared as a special guest on Fox & Friends at the start of May sporting a worrying new look. Renowned for his deep tan, Hogan's skin looked particularly weathered on air, while his usual white beard appeared to be dyed black despite his goatee and hair being left white - making for a strange contrast. One viewer wrote on social media, 'Tell Hulk Hogan his face is dirty, clean that soot off.' Another asked, 'Does anyone believe this is Hulk Hogan?'

Truth behind worrying Hulk Hogan health rumor after radio host claimed WWE icon 'might not make it' in hospital

Hulk Hogan is not on his deathbed in hospital despite a Florida radio host claiming the WWE legend's family have been called in to say their goodbyes to him. According to TMZ Sports, Hogan was hospitalized this week to simply deal with lingering neck and back issues, and he's back moving around already. Local radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge said live on air that a 'pretty damn reliable' source had told him the 71-year-old was in such bad health that he 'might not make it'. However, it is believed he is not close to death and was only in hospital to address health problems he's struggled with for years. Hogan - whose real name is Terry Bollea - underwent neck surgery last month after having a 'little fusion procedure' to make him 'feel a little better.' He was back to work just 24 hours after going under the knife while preparing for the launch of his new wrestling league, Real American Freestyle, this summer. 'Quick turnaround,' a representative for Hulk was quoted as saying by TMZ. The all-time wrestling great is no stranger to surgery after recently telling WWE superstar Logan Paul that he had at least 25 from 2014 to 2024 alone. 'I've had 10 back surgeries,' he said during an appearance on Logan's 'Impaulsive' podcast. 'Both knees and both hips replaced, shoulders - everything.' While he is not on his deathbed, Hogan did spark fears over his health after making a bizarre appearance on Fox News last month. Fans were left concerned when he appeared as a special guest on Fox & Friends at the start of May sporting a worrying new look. Renowned for his deep tan, the WWE great's skin looked particularly weathered on air, while his usual white beard appeared to be dyed black despite his goatee and hair being left white - making for a strange contrast. One viewer wrote on social media: 'tell Hulk Hogan his face is dirty, clean that soot off.' Another said: 'Does anyone believe this is Hulk Hogan?' A third added: 'Hulk Hogan giving off Wooly Willy vibes this am on Fox & Friends'. Hogan was on the show to promote his new wrestling league but appeared to ramble as the interview went on. The odd TV cameo came just over a month after his family became embroiled in a bitter public dispute after ex-wife Linda accused him of being 'complete liar' and 'sex addict'. Linda claimed the family is 'in the worst mess' after daughter Brooke cut both parents out of her life, with the latter soon hitting back at her mom in a shocking war of words. Brooke's husband has also taken sly shots at his wife's parents while leaping to her defense in the midst of the bitter family feud. Hulk and Linda were married for 26 years between 1983 and 2009. They have two children together - Brooke, 36, and Nick, 34. Hogan remarried in 2010, tying the knot with Jennifer McDaniel, but they split 11 years later. He married his third wife - Sky Daily - in 2023, in a ceremony that Brooke did not attend.

Hulk Hogan representative addresses rumors that wrestling legend is on his death bed

Hulk Hogan's representative has assured fans there are 'no reasons to panic,' amid false reports that he 'might not make it' after undergoing surgery last month. In May, a spokesperson for the retired wrestling legend, 71, told TMZ that he had undergone 'a little fusion procedure' on his neck. During a Wednesday livestream, YouTuber Bubba the Love Sponge claimed he had heard from 'reliable sources' that things were 'not looking good' for Hogan. However, a representative for Hogan has debunked those claims, telling E! News that the surgery had 'indeed been successful,' and there are 'no reasons to panic.' There have been conflicting reports about what surgery he recently underwent, as his representative shared that it was to treat back pain that he's suffered from for years, while a separate source claimed to US Weekly that he was recovering from 'pretty serious heart surgery.' The Independent has contacted Hogan's representative for comment. Over the years, Hogan has had a string of back surgeries and hip and shoulder replacements. 'I've had like 25 surgeries in the last ten years. 10 of them were back surgeries,' he told Jake Paul on the IMPAULSIVE podcast in September 2024. 'I've had 10 back surgeries, both knees and both hips replaced, shoulders — everything.' Hogan rose to fame during his time with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He first entered the ring as a professional wrestler in 1977 before signing with WWE in 1983, where he went on to win six championships and was later inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice. In recent years, he's faced backlash for his outspoken support of President Donald Trump. While hosting an event in Ohio last August to promote his new beer brand, Real American Beer, Hogan was filmed joking about 'body slamming' former Vice President Kamal Harris. Referencing one of his famed wrestling moves in a video obtained by TMZ, Hogan asked the rowdy crowd: 'Do you want me to drop the leg on Kamala… Do you want me to body slam Kamala Harris?' He then proceeded to question Harris's racial identity, asking the crowd: 'Is Kamala a chameleon? Is she Indian?' After realizing he had crossed a line, he appeared to blame his behavior on the alcohol. 'I'm gonna get heat for that one, brother… that was not me, that was the beers talking,' he said. In 2015, Hogan was suspended from WWE for three years after a recording surfaced of him going on a racist rant, using the N-word repeatedly when discussing his now-estranged daughter Brooke's love life. Brooke, 37, has reportedly been estranged from her parents, Hogan and Linda Hogan, for years. The former couple, who were married from 1983 to 2009, also share a 34-year-old son, Nick. As a family, the four fronted their four-season reality series Hogan Knows Best, which aired from 2005 to 2007.
