Recently, the actor was in the news because of the provisional seizure of bank accounts and property belonging to Kim Se Eui, CEO of HoverLab . Other than that, even his property worth 3 billion KRW has been seized by a cosmetic company as he allegedly did not pay the damages fee to them. In the latest updates, Kim Soo Hyun's legal team has filed a request for complete forensic investigations into all the evidence that has been presented against him. Kim Soo Hyun's legal team requests a digital forensic test Amid the ongoing trial, Kim Soo Hyun's legal team has officially requested that the National Forensic Services get involved in the case. As per ChosunBiz, they filed a formal request for a digital forensic investigation by the National Forensic Service into all the evidence that has been submitted against him. From chat logs to phone records, as well as video and photo proof, the actor's legal team has requested that the National Forensic Services verify everything. They have asked for the digital verification of everything that was submitted by the owner of the HoverLab channel to prove that he and Kim Sae Ron were involved while she was still a minor. Recently, it was reported that Kim Soo Hyun was directly involved in the seizure of HoverLab CEO Kim Se Eui 's properties worth 12 billion KRW. The court order was availed by the actor's company, which allegedly seized the properties amid the ongoing defamation case . Kim Soo Hyun seizes YouTuber's properties amid defamation case On June 11, as reported by Newssen, Kim Soo Hyun's legal representative allegedly took hold of two real estate properties that belonged to Kim Se Eui, the CEO of online streaming channel HoverLab. Earlier, Soo Hyun had filed a defamation case against the YouTuber for spreading misinformation and for defaming the actor. His name, however, has not been fully listed in the real estate seizures, as it would require his private records to be made public per legalities. To protect his personal information, his name was not included directly in the real estate seizure. The Seoul Central District Court approved Kim Soo Hyun's agency's request for a damages lawsuit and an asset seizure request. While the request was filed for 11 billion KRW, the properties seized by the company amount to 4 billion KRW. He stated that 'This means the court found the lawsuit submitted by Kim Soo Hyun's side sufficiently compelling. They substantiated who was responsible for the defamatory actions and detailed the estimated damage to the agency.'

Now, in response to the incident, Soo Hyun and his agency have decided to add extra charges to the complaint against HoverLab's owner and the family of the late actress. In light of more damning accusations made by Kim Saeron's family yesterday (7th May 2025) at the press conference involving the family's legal representative and YouTuber Kim Seui of Garo Sero Institute, Kim Soohyun's agency, has issued an official statement in regards to the accusations. On the same day of the press conference, GOLDMEDALIST rebuked all accusations made towards actor Kim Soohyun (김수현), stating 3 main points of argument, where they point out that the accusations made with proof were fabricated to defame him. Here are the highlights of the statement: GOLDMEDALIST's Position On The Audio Recording Claimed By HoverLab GOLDMEDALIST claims that the obtained audio recording of Kim Saeron (김새론) was fabricated using AI or similar technology. The statement also states that the audio provider who had given the recording to HoverLab had also approached them, demanding money, with an audio recording of the late actress making favourable comments towards Kim Soohyun. The agency also states that the perpetrator is not someone who could have had any contact with Kim Saeron, and investigations are well underway or the legitimacy of the recording. Their Stance On The Alleged 'Attack Photo' Mentioned By HoverLab GOLDMEDALIST rebukes the so-called 'attack photo' claimed by HoverLab and has presented that the photo can be easily found with a quick search on the internet. They claim that the attack is baseless and is completely unreasonable from a common-sense perspective.
