Teenage sensation Michael Noonan scores brace of goals as Shamrock Rovers thrash Cork City to extend unbeaten run

A BRACE from teenage forward Michael Noonan helped the league leaders ease to victory over basement club Cork City in Tallaght last night. In their third game in seven days Shamrock Rovers' star-studded squad showed their strength in depth as they made it 11 unbeaten. Rory Gaffney put the game to bed just after the break, with Alex Nolan grabbing a consolation. Still searching for his first win as City boss, Ger Nash made three changes to the side that lost at home to Bohs last week. But with only six minutes on the clock, Noonan showed great feet cutting inside two defenders before reversing the ball under keeper Tein Troost. To their credit the visitors continued to play some tidy football , with Kitt Nelson and Daniels finding good positions to shoot from distance, although Ed McGinty was not troubled by either effort. Rovers doubled their lead shortly after Cathal O'Sullivan was penalised for a challenge on Trevor Clarke despite protests from the Cork players. And from the left wing, Dylan Watts whipped in a free-kick which skipper Lopes headed home. Two minutes later, the hosts struck again to make it three after Clarke picked up the ball on the left and curled a wonderful ball around the City defence and into Noonan's path. Stephen Bradley's side secured the points four minutes after the restart when Danny Mandroiu was given too much time and space to pick out Gaffney. Minutes later Cathal O'Sullivan was brilliantly denied by McGinty from close range, but with the game seemingly dead and buried, former Shels, UCD and Pat's winger Nolan made an instant impact from the bench to give the travelling Rebel Army something to cheer . Advertisement The winger made a sharp run in behind the Hoops rearguard, latching on to former Hoop Greg Bolger's pass over the top, before lofting the ball over McGinty and just over the line despite the recovering Josh Honohan's best efforts to keep their clean sheet intact. Teen Maxim Kovalevskis — who was impressive on the right after coming on as a second-half sub — was unlucky not to cap his cameo with a goal of his own. The 17-year-old showed great pace as he burst into the box, but his low shot fizzed wide as the match finished 4-1. Versalis unveils Hoop Demo plant in Mantua for chemical recycling

Versalis, Eni's chemical company, unveiled, at its Mantua site, a demonstration plant based on Hoop, the company's new proprietary technology for the chemical recycling of mixed plastic waste. Versalis, Eni's chemical arm, unveiled its Hoop demo plant in Mantua for chemical recycling of mixed plastic waste into new feedstock. Developed with SRS, it uses pyrolysis and AI for high-yield recovery. Processing 6,000 t/year, it paves the way for a 40,000-tonne plant in Priolo. SC-HOOP won EU Innovation Fund support and will feature at Expo 2025. This technology, which complements mechanical recycling, makes it possible to convert mixed plastic waste into feedstock that can be used to produce new plastic materials suitable for all applications, including food contact packaging and pharmaceutical packaging. Hoop was developed through a joint project with the Italian engineering firm S.R.S. (Servizi di Ricerche e Sviluppo), leading to an innovative technology that achieves high material recovery yields and offers excellent flexibility in terms of input materials. This is made possible by combining a high thermal performance pyrolysis reactor with Versalis's expertise in polymer property analysis and production process optimisation through Artificial Intelligence systems. Construction of the Hoop demonstration plant, which occupies an area of approximately 5,000 square metres within the Mantua site, began at the end of October 2023. During the construction phase, more than 25 specialised contractors were involved, with an average daily workforce of around 70 people. In recent weeks, the first production tests were successfully completed. The plant is capable of processing 6,000 tonnes of secondary raw material per year and will serve to validate the technology application on an industrial scale. Under the Memorandum of Understanding on the Eni-Versalis Chemical Transformation Plan signed last March with the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) a 40,000-tonne facility is planned for construction at the Priolo site in Sicily. The feasibility study has already been completed and the design phase is currently under way in preparation for the start of the permitting process. 'Today we are giving further substance and value to circularity, one of the pillars of Versalis's transformation plan', said Adriano Alfani, CEO of Versalis. 'The Hoop plant we are opening today is a symbol of the path we are following – harnessing innovation to reshape our business through new industrial initiatives based on circularity, biochemistry and specialisation, in pursuit of increased sustainability. We are committed to addressing all three of sustainability core dimensions: environmental, social and economic.' SC-HOOP, Versalis' project name for the realization of the demo plant based on Hoop technology at Mantua, is the only Italian large scale project to be awarded funding in the 2023 EU Innovation Fund call, out of 239 proposals submitted and 41 selected overall. The Fund established by the European Commission, supports innovative low-carbon technologies. The patent has also been selected by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy to be showcased among Italy's successful innovations, both in the themed exhibition 'L'Italia dei Brevetti' [Italy of patents] (held in Rome from November 2024 to March 2025) and in the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. Phaedra Parks Reveals the Receipt from $30K Shopping Trip to Schiaparelli: 'It's Longer Than a Boa Constrictor' (Exclusive)

In PEOPLE's new YouTube series Keeping Receipts, Phaedra Parks reveals everything she bought during a recent Schiaparelli shopping spree The Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star spent almost $30,000 on luxury items from the Italian fashion house Parks mentioned she ran into Porsha Williams at the private showing and she was wearing one of the items she recently purchasedPhaedra Parks is showing her receipts! On PEOPLE's Keeping Receipts, the Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star, 51, left no receipt unread as she showed off what she spent over the course of a week, including during a trip to Schiaparelli. Her final bill? $29,729.70. 'Schiaparelli is one of the top designers out of Paris, beautiful, luxurious, high-end fashion, and right now they are making all of the wonderful pieces for the 'it' girls,' Parks says of the Italian fashion house. Some of the "it girls" the brand has dressed lately include Kylie Jenner, Dua Lipa and Doja Cat, just to name a few. The first item on Parks' list is a pair of $2,500 Gradient Hoop Earrings that are blue and green with turquoise rhinestone thorns. Another accessory Parks purchased from the designer brand was a gold bangle. The Mouth Cuff Bracelet, which she paid $2,300 for, is shaped in the form of a mouth complete with an upper lip clear rhinestone piercing. The hammered brass cuff 'pays homage to the Maison's emblematic anatomical codes." 'I bought another pair of earrings and they were $2,000,' the attorney says in the video. She's referring to the Rhinestone Ball Earrings, which are brass with a gold-plated finish. Parks' first clothing item featured on the receipt is a tailored Single Breasted Jacket in peach. The jacket is adorned with gold buttons on each sleeve as well as a singular button to gather the jacket in the center. The blazer also included a small keynote detail on the right lapel. The jacket was one of the pricier items Parks purchased, ringing up at $9,900. Next, Parks showed off an electric blue Braided Ballerina Neckline Dress that included a sheer fabric gathered down the dress' center in a braid. The revealing halter neckline also showcased an off-the-shoulder detail. The model featured in the dress held the braid by its tail, which finished partway with a chunky three-part gold ring. The dress clocked in at $5,700. 'And I thought I bought a purse somewhere in here,' Parks says before spotting the Leather Keyhole Clutch. 'Oh, and I bought a little clutch for $4,900.' The black clutch featuring Schiaparelli's signature brass keyhole detail is made from laminated calfskin with a lambskin lining. A fun detail inside the clutch is that its lining is a 'Shocking pink' color, which is signature to the brand, according to Schiaparelli's website. "Schiaparelli is so hot right now, it's so artistic, I just, I love it,' Parks says. "I love the rich gold." Parks reveals in the video that the luxury brand came to Atlanta during a private showing. 'I had to be a part of it,' she admits. However, she did run into Porsha Williams at the Schiaparelli private showing, who was wearing one of Parks' purchases. 'Unfortunately, I did see Porsha in the earrings I just bought so… I guess good taste runs in my friend circle,' Parks says. Their similar taste won't keep Parks from wearing the earrings. She says she plans on 'wearing them a lot.' Read the original article on People
