El Le'ba Season 5 to Begin Filming in July Ahead of September Release

The original cast, including Chico, Hesham Maged, and Mai Kassab will return for the new season. Apr 26, 2025 Director Moataz El Tony has announced that filming for the fifth season of the comedy series El Le'ba will begin in July 2025, with its release scheduled for September on digital platforms. The original cast - including Chico, Hesham Maged, Ahmed Fathi, Mohamed Tharwat, Mai Kassab, Mirna Gamil, Sami Maghawry, and Arefa Abdel Rasoul - will return for the new season. The series is written by Ahmed Saad Wali, Ibrahim Saber, and Mohamed Salah Khattab, and directed by El Tony. El Tony also achieved notable success during Ramadan 2025 with his series El Captain, starring Akram Hosny, and is currently preparing for a new film project, Zawgat Ragol Mesh Mohem, featuring Akram Hosny and Yasmine Abdel Aziz.

Beloved comedy duo Hesham Maged and Mostafa Gharieb take the lead in Bershama

Egyptian star Hesham Maged has officially announced the start of filming for his new movie Bershama, marking another exciting new collaboration with Mostafa Garieb and director Khaled Diab following their successful series Ashghal Shaqqa Geddan. The film is penned by Sherine and Khaled Diab, with contributions from Ahmed El-Zoghby, and features a star-studded cast including Riham Abdel Ghafour, Bassem Samra, Taha Desouky, along with several special guest appearances. Bershama is a social comedy that tackles a fresh and unconventional topic with sharp wit and humor. Hesham Maged has been riding a wave of success, with his recent hits Fasel Men Al Lahazat El Laziza and Ex Meraty raking in over 150 million EGP at the box office last year. Now, Bershama is set to be one of the most anticipated films of Eid Al-Adha, with filming already underway in preparation for the upcoming cinematic season.

"Pershama" Begins Production

Yara Sameh Production has begun on Egyptian actor and screenwriter Hesham Maged in the comedy film "Pershama". The cast also stars Riham Abdel Ghafour, Bassem Samra, Taha Desouky, Moustafa Ghareeb, and more. Khaled Diab directs the pic from a script by Ahmed El-Zaghbi and Sherine Diab. SkyLimit Studio is the banner behind the film. Maged made his last appearance on the big screen in the 2024 star-studded film " My Wife's Ex " (Merati's Ex). Maged, born on April 26, 1980, graduated from Cairo University. During university, he created the Tamr Hendi production company with his friends which produced films that ridiculed famous Egyptian films. They created film 'Men who do not know the impossible', a project that attracted the attention of Mohamed Hefzy, who at the time was trying his hand at production. Hefzy produced their first TV series 'Afeesh wa Tashbeeh' that tackled Egyptian classics in a cynical way in each episode. He also produced the trio's 2008 film "Waraqat Shifra" which was a big hit at the box office. Maged starred and scripted the film which familiarized his face to the audience. Yasmine commented following a humorous and unexpected scenario in Ashghal Shaqah Gedan episode 15, in which she fell to the ground and got her face soaked in water due to an unforeseen circumstance that arose during production. In celebration, the whole cast and crew sang "Wallahi wa Amaluha el Regala." As the show progresses, Dr. Hamdy (Hesham Maged) and his wife Yasmine (Asmaa Galal) are forced to deal with the new maid, "Manal" (Rehab El Gamal), who has a serious mental illness that makes her cry all the time. When she tries suicide in her room after learning that her job has been terminated, things take a surprising turn, and the pair steps in to save her. They then decide to have Manal attend Dr. Ghandour for a psychological consultation to assist her in overcoming her experience. In a different context, Dr. Hamdy is still trying to get a Maldivian work visa. When he arrives at the embassy, he is shocked to see that his mother, Sherine, is also there to apply for a visa and accompany him on his trip. His mother, however, tries to stop him from going, claiming that he is not Muslim because the embassy does not provide non-Muslims work visas to the Maldives. Compelled to travel to Al-Azhar to pick up a document attesting to his conversion to Islam, Dr. Hamdy eventually receives the visa. In a last scene with his friend Arabi, Dr. Hamdy gets ready to leave for the Maldives with his wife Yasmine, his kids, and his mother. When Arabi lodges a complaint against him, accusing him of "disrupting a historical monument," he is banned from travel, which is an unexpected shock at the last minute. asmaa_galal Instagram Using his official Instagram account, actor Hesham Maged said goodbye to the drama series "Ashghal Shaqah Geda" (Very Hard Work), which aired during the first half of the Ramadan 2025 season. Hesham Maged shared a photo of himself with the actors on his official Instagram account, captioning it, "The series is complete... I hope you're content. The last episode of "Ashghal Shaqah Geda" (Very Hard Work), which airs on Friday, March 14, is quickly approaching. Hesham Maged, who plays a forensic doctor, and Asmaa Galal, who plays a media personality, are the subjects of a social comedy about a married couple that is the focus of the second season of "Ashghal Shaqah Geda" (Very Hard Work).
