Tammy Hembrow announces divorce from Matt Zukowski following just seven months of marriage

Tammy Hembrow has confirmed she has filed for divorce from husband Matt Zukowski after just seven months of marriage. Hembrow, 31, who has 17 million followers on Instagram, confirmed the news in a tearful clip to her followers at the weekend. The couple became engaged in December, 2023 after just three months of dating. They tied the knot in November last year at the upmarket Chateau Du Soleil in Byron Bay, in northern NSW. But just months later, Hembrow ended months of speculation and confirmed the marriage was over. 'I don't want to get into the details and I want to be sensitive to everyone involved,' Hembrow told fans in the clip she published to her Instagram Stories. 'Obviously, when you marry someone, you do it thinking that it is going to be forever and I blame no one but myself,' she added, struggling to talk through tears. 'I've made not the best choices when it comes to relationships. I'm good at putting on rose-colored glasses. 'Obviously the worst part for me is that I have kids. I don't care about me, I know I will be ok but I feel awful.' Hembrow has two children, son Wolf and daughter Saskia, with fellow influencer, Reece Hawkins. She has a second daughter, Posy, with Gold Coast sports identify, Matt Poole. Hembrow said she was in therapy amid the relationship breakdown. 'Therapy — life changing,' she said. 'I feel like there's been periods of my life where I've gone to therapy and I've never stuck with it. 'This whole experience has just made me feel like I still have a lot of growing to do. A lot of work to do but I'm giving myself grace and well I'm trying to … it's a bit hard right now. 'There's a lesson in everything and hopefully this time I learn it.' Zukowski also shared his own statement confirming the relationship was over. 'It's with a heavy heart I share that Tammy and I have decided to separate,' Zukowski began. 'Both of us have struggled with making this decision however we need to do what is right for ourselves and her three children. 'This wasn't a decision we took lightly. Our time together will always be cherished and never forgotten.' Speculation has been rife the pair had ended their relationship. Zukowski was noticeably absent from Hembrow's 31st birthday, Posy's birthday party, and the family's Easter weekend celebrations, just five months after tying-the-knot. Previously, Hembrow had been engaged to Reece Hawkins. The Gold Coast-based star has become a huge name in the online space, with numerous brand deals, which sees her promote products. Hembrow regularly has her fortune estimated at $50 million.

Influencer slammed for ‘cruel' activity while in Egypt

Tammy Hembrow's holiday to Egypt has been slammed on social media after she took photos in revealing outfits at tourist attractions in the conservative country and allegedly rode an abused camel. The 31-year-old influencer experienced the trip hosted by Aweventurer last week and was spotted riding on the back of a camel in several photos and videos posted by other travelling content creators on the tour. However, she hid the snaps from her own page, posting only a photo of two camels from the ride with a pyramid in the background. The series of photos have angered animal activists who have called for the Saski activewear founder to speak out about the backlash. Bailey Mason, who runs Instagram account Warrior For Animals, commented on the photos, highlighting the abuse inflicted on the camels in Egypt's tourism industry. 'I am an animal rights campaigner and am deeply disappointed @tammyhembrow rode abused camels,' Mr Mason wrote in a post shared to his Instagram. 'I am glad the post has been removed but more needs to be done against exploitation in tourism.' Hembrow was spotted riding on the back of a camel in several photos and videos posted by other travelling content creators. Credit: Supplied The animal rights campaigner also commented on one of Hembrow's Egypt posts, saying: 'I'm politely asking if you can do your bit to end the exploitation of animals in tourism. 'I've been supporting you for a long time even praising you for advocating for eating more plant based foods in 2020 to help the environment and of (course) animal welfare.' Hembrow's followers also took to the comments section of the mother-of-three's posts, sharing messages of disappointment. 'How about don't torture animals and don't ride a camel?!! Can't believe it's even on the program,' one follower said. Another person said: Do you have any idea how they are being treated and how exhausted they are from all the moronic tourists exploiting them for no f***ing reason.' 'Please leave animals and carriage rides out of your plans. Very cruel would never visit a country with such lack for empathy or regulations on animal welfare,' a third added. The negative commentary resulted in the travel company removing the camel rides from the tour itinerary. If you'd like to view this content, please adjust your . According to an article by PETA Australia updated in April, camels continue to suffer from injury and skin disease because they're denied sufficient veterinary treatment. In 2019, PETA Asia investigations at the Great Pyramid of Giza and Luxor's royal tombs documented abuse of horses and camels who pull tourists in carriages or serve as photo props in severe conditions without appropriate shade or food. It seems Hembrow's trip has been marred with controversy after people also took aim at her revealing outfit choices while checking out tourist hot spots. Many of her posts from the getaway show the social media sensation exposing her tattooed arms and midriff while wearing a headscarf. 'Pretty sure this is cultural appropriation cause you're not wearing that scarf to cover your body,' one person said. Another added: 'A holiday to Egypt, while half naked, is possibly one the most time [sic] deaf things I've ever seen.' 'Your choice of clothing is actually quite offensive to the locals Your travel advisor should have told you about local etiquette,' a third added. While there is no legal dress code in Egypt, it is considered respectful for tourists to follow the cultural norm of modest attire.
