Kuwait National Guard showcases ‘smart ambulance' aimed at improving emergency response
KUWAIT: Lieutenant General Hashem Al-Rifai conducts a field inspection on Wednesday of key logistical and medical facilities at Tahrir Camp. KUWAIT: Lieutenant General Hashem Al-Rifai, Undersecretary of the Kuwait National Guard, conducted a field inspection on Wednesday of key logistical and medical facilities, underscoring the guard's state of readiness amid heightened regional tensions stemming from the ongoing war between the Zionist entity and Iran. Al-Rifai was accompanied by Assistant Undersecretary for Operations and Training, Major General Dr Faleh Shujaa, during the visit to Tahrir Camp, where they were received by Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Support, Major General Engineer Issam Nayef, along with senior officers and commanders. In a statement issued by the National Guard, Al-Rifai inspected the Medical Services Directorate, including the specialty clinics complex, medical warehouses, and the central pharmacy, as well as the Logistics and Transport Branch, where he reviewed the National Guard's strategic stockpiles of essential supplies. Calling for vigilance and heightened readiness, Al-Rifai stressed the importance of fully implementing existing operational plans. 'We must maintain the highest levels of caution and readiness in light of the events unfolding in the region,' he said, referencing regional volatility as the war between the Zionist entity and Iran enters its sixth day with over 200 confirmed deaths reported by Tehran and 24 by the Zionist entity. During the tour, the delegation reviewed the 'Smart Ambulance' system, where medical teams demonstrated the vehicle's advanced diagnostic tools and real-time data logging capabilities. The system enables ambulance teams to record patient information instantly using smart devices, aimed at improving emergency response speed and accuracy. Al-Rifai praised the innovation as a strategic step forward: 'The Smart Ambulance system is a strategic initiative and the result of ongoing efforts to integrate advanced technology and innovation in protecting the personnel of the National Guard and ensuring their safety.' He also commended the guard's high level of preparedness and its critical role in defense, national security, and inter-agency support. Al-Rifai concluded by affirming the unwavering support of the National Guard leadership, represented by His Highness Sheikh Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Chief of the National Guard, and His Highness Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of the National Guard. KNG celebrates graduation of new officer cadets
KUWAIT: The Kuwait National Guard celebrates the graduation of a new class of officer cadets. KUWAIT: The Kuwait National Guard on Tuesday celebrated the graduation of a new class of officer cadets, including medical officers, medical support officers, biomedical engineering officers, field officers holding university degrees, graduates of King Khalid Military College, and warrant officer cadets promoted to second lieutenant. Lieutenant General Hashem Al-Rifai hands one of the graduating cadets a plaque. In a press statement, the National Guard said the ceremony took place at the Martyrs' Hall in Al-Sumoud Camp, under the patronage of the Chief of the National Guard, Sheikh Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and in the presence of National Guard Undersecretary, Lieutenant General Hashem Al-Rifai. During the ceremony, the newly commissioned officers took an oath to defend the homeland and to sacrifice everything in its service. Lt Gen Al-Rifai conveyed congratulations from Sheikh Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Deputy Chief of the National Guard Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to the graduates, expressing his pride in welcoming a new group of officers to the ranks of the National Guard to support their fellow servicemen. He affirmed that loyalty and belonging to the homeland are among the most precious values one can hold. 'Our goal is to defend this noble land and to ensure security and safety for its citizens under wise leadership,' he said. Commander of the National Guard Training Institute, Brigadier General Khaled Munawar, emphasized the implementation of the guard's strategic plan 'Homeland Protection 2030' through advancements in military, administrative, and technical fields. He highlighted efforts to develop personnel both academically and militarily to perform their duties with excellence and competence. Kuwaiti National Guard conducts military exercises with UAE counterparts
LONDON: The Kuwaiti National Guard is conducting a joint military exercise this week with the UAE National Guard to enhance cooperation and share expertise in military operations. Lt. Gen. Eng. Hashem Al-Rifai, undersecretary of the Kuwaiti National Guard, received on Tuesday Maj. Gen. Saleh Al-Ameri, commander of the UAE National Guard, and his forces, the Kuwait Press Agency reported. The military exercises, also known as CPX — Shield, are being conducted at the Kuwaiti National Guard's Command Center, at Sheikh Salem Ali Camp. This is the 20th edition of the exercises, called Nasr 20, which Kuwait carries out regularly and which involves other security branches in the country as well as forces from neighboring and allied countries. Al-Rifai conveyed to the Emirati forces the greetings of the National Guard's leadership, Sheikh Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his deputy Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah.
