Harshvardhan Rane, Sonam Bajwa escape 'freak accident' as helium balloons catch fire on set of Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat
Actor Harshvardhan Rane has recently wrapped up the shoot for his upcoming film Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, co-starring Sonam Bajwa. On Thursday, the actor took to Instagram to share a video from the wrap-up celebration, during which a group of helium balloons unexpectedly caught fire, an incident Harshvardhan referred to as a 'freak accident.' Fortunately, no one was injured. However, the situation was quickly brought under control. Sonam was also present during the incident. Captioning the video, Harshvardhan wrote, "You know God is on your film's side when a mishap doesn't touch you. Thankfully, everyone was safe this morning after the crew wrapped up five consecutive night shoots. While we were celebrating the wrap of Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, a huge bunch of helium balloons burst just 8–9 feet behind us! Accidents and hiccups kept their distance, as if guardian angels were watching over us. #FreakAccident but #SonOfGod. We all missed you today @anshul300 — you were the driving force behind this project.' One fan wrote, 'Thank God the accident explosion incident wasn't serious & you all are safe. You are right, you, your team & your movie is protected by God's guardian angels (sic).' Another fan wrote, 'Divine protection and passion go hand in hand when hearts like yours are involved. So glad everyone is safe. Can't wait to see Ek Dewaane ki Deewaniyat.' Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is an upcoming romantic drama film starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa in lead roles. Announced earlier in 2025, the film explores themes of passion, love, and obsession. Directed by Milap Zaveri, who has also co-written the script with Mushtaq Shiekhi, it is a musical love story. The film is set to hit the theatres on October 2 this year.

Harshvardhan took to his Instagram stories, where he shared a stunning picture of an owl that he took. For the caption, he wrote: 'The plan for the next three months. Finish Deewaniyat climax shoot. Ace psychology honours exams in June end. Go for wildlife photography. Head for Omung Kumar sirs film." The actor will now start working on a film by Omung Kumar. It also stars Sadia Khateeb and Karan Veer Mehra. With Omung Kumar known for crafting impactful films and Harshvardhan's compelling on-screen intensity, this collaboration promises a gripping cinematic experience. The film is expected to go on floors later this year. The news about the shoot schedule was announced on Monday. Mumbai: Mumbai, May 26 (IANS) The title of the upcoming Hindi film starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa has been changed. The film, which was tentatively titled 'Deewaniyat', has undergone a title change. Titled 'Deewane Ki Deewaniyat', the film now has a new team at the helm after it switched production houses. This change comes on the heels of the film's transition from Vikir Films to Play DMF, Anshul Garg's rapidly rising production house. The creative leads of the new team have decided that the previous title no longer aligned with the evolved narrative and branding of the project. 'Deewane Ki Deewaniyat' reflects a deeper emotional core and a more personalised love saga, and is touted as a story of madness, intensity, and romantic obsession. According to sources close to the team, the new title better encapsulates the passion-driven narrative and the dramatic tone of the film. The title change also marks a fresh start for the movie under its new leadership, and with principal photography already underway, fans can expect the first poster and trailer under the updated title soon. Earlier, the actor took to social media to share his excitement over the film's powerful and emotionally driven narrative. The actor posted pictures of him on his social media, calling the film's script 'his strongest written script till date'. He also expressed his deep appreciation for the team behind the project. Prior to this, it was learnt that Harshvardhan, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology (Honours), will have to multitask between his exams and shoot for his upcoming film in June. Harshvardhan took to Instagram stories, where he shared snippets of his study routine as he was writing down the lectures.
