Hyundai Motor rises as passenger vehicle engine production begins at Talegaon plant
Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) rose 1.02% to Rs 1,956.85 after the company announced that it has successfully commenced the production of Passenger Vehicle Engines at its Talegaon Plant. The said plant located at MIDC Talegaon Industrial Area, Pune, the facility began operations on 16 June 2025. Hyundai Motor India is a part of the Hyundai Motor Group, which is the third largest auto original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in the world based on passenger vehicle sales in CY23. Manufactures and sells reliable, feature-rich, and innovative four-wheeler passenger vehicles backed by the latest technology. Additionally, parts such as transmissions and engines are also manufactured. The companys consolidated net profit declined 3.7% to Rs 1,614.35 crore despite a 1.2% increase in revenue from operations to Rs 17,527.25 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to the same period last year.

Hyundai commences PV engine production at Talegaon plant
Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) has commenced production of passenger vehicle engines at its Talegaon manufacturing facility in Maharashtra. Hyundai had acquired the Talegaon plant from General Motors in 2023 as part of its strategy to enhance local manufacturing capacity. 'The Company has successfully commenced production of Passenger Vehicle Engines at its Manufacturing Facility 'Talegaon Plant' located at Plot No. A-16, MIDC, Talegaon Industrial Area, Phase-II Expansion, Tehsil-Maval, Dist. Pune – 410 507, Maharashtra, with effect from today, i.e. June 16, 2025,' said HMIL in a regulatory filing. It added that intimation regarding the commencement of production of passenger vehicles at the Talegaon plant will be made separately in due course. The Talegaon plant has an existing annual production capacity of 130,000 units. Last year, Hyundai had signed MoUs with the state governments of Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra, committing an overall investment of Rs 32,000 crore The South Korean carmaker has plans to increase the overall production capacity to 1.1 million units per annum by 2028. Hyundai Motor India recently reported a 4% decline in its consolidated profit after tax to Rs 1,614 crore for the fourth quarter of FY25. It has reported a PAT of Rs 1,677 crore in Q4 of FY24. The company had sold 153,550 units in the domestic market in the fourth quarter against 160,317 units in the same period of FY24.

Hyundai Motor India Foundation Inaugurates Adhikaar Connect Kendra in Gurugram
Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), inaugurated the Adhikaar Connect Kendra in Gurugram, Haryana, under its social inclusion initiative - Project Adhikaar. The centre aims to strengthen the efforts by enabling digital access to empower citizens to avail their rightful entitlements under various central and state welfare, and social security schemes. The centre is expected to unlock government benefits worth INR 200 crore over the next three years by offering personalized assistance to citizens, including eligibility screening, documentation support, and application facilitation for a wide array of central and state welfare schemes. With a vision to positively transform over 90,000 lives by 2028, the centre will offer end-to-end support, including eligibility screening, application processing and real-time entitlement tracking, facilitated by a cadre of trained female community entrepreneurs known as Adhikaar Sakhis, besides male volunteers. Commenting on the launch of Adhikaar Connect Kendra, Puneet Anand, AVP & Vertical Head - Corporate Affairs, Corporate Communication & Social, HMIL said, 'The inauguration of Adhikaar Connect Kendra in Gurugram marks a pivotal step in our journey towards building a more equitable and empowered society. Through this initiative, we aim to bring dignity, simplicity, and transparency to every citizen's interaction with government welfare schemes, unlocking rightful benefits worth over INR 200 crore over the next three years. This effort goes beyond access; it is about enabling self-reliance and long-term empowerment. Each beneficiary will be issued a Yojana Card - A dignified digital identity enabling real-time access to benefits and record-keeping. Hyundai Motor India Targets 7–8% Growth in Exports for FY 2025-26, Eyes Role as Brand's Largest Export Hub Outside Korea
New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is eyeing a 7–8% growth in export volumes for the financial year 2025–26, as it marks 25 years of vehicle exports from India. The company has set its sights on becoming Hyundai's largest export hub outside of South Korea. Having begun its export operations in 1999 from Chennai Port, HMIL has shipped more than 3.7 million India-made vehicles globally, maintaining its position as the country's largest cumulative exporter of passenger vehicles. In FY 2024–25 alone, Hyundai exported 1,63,386 units, with Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Mexico, Chile, and Peru ranking among its top international markets. The automaker currently exports to over 60 countries and has a lineup of nine tailor-made products for overseas markets, including models like the Hyundai CRETA, CRETA Electric, ALCAZAR, EXTER, VENUE, AURA, VERNA, Grand i10 NIOS, and i20. HMIL recently commenced exports of the CRETA Electric to select neighbouring countries. 'In 2024-25, HMIL reached a significant milestone by completing 25 years of exports from India,' said Unsoo Kim, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor India Limited. 'As we aim to become Hyundai's largest export hub outside South Korea, we expect strong momentum to continue, with export volumes projected to grow by 7–8% in FY26.' Chennai Port has played a critical role in HMIL's export success. Shri S. Kirupanandasamy, Traffic Manager at Chennai Port Authority, noted the port's long-standing partnership with Hyundai. 'As the largest automobile export port in the Bay of Bengal, Chennai Port has served as a vital gateway for Hyundai's global shipments since 1999. Our dedicated facilities, including a holding yard for over 4,000 vehicles, support seamless export operations.' The company has achieved several export milestones faster than any other OEM in India – reaching 1 million units by 2010, 2 million by 2014, and 3 million by 2020. With a global strategy aligned to its 'Progress for Humanity' vision, Hyundai Motor India remains committed to expanding its footprint in emerging markets and reinforcing India's role as a major global automotive manufacturing base.
