‘Taylor Swift Olivia Rodrigo Beef' Trend Explained Amid Photo Removal Rumors

The search term 'Taylor Swift Olivia Rodrigo beef' recently started trending online, and fans are wondering why. Rumors of a feud between the two musicians are not exactly new amongst fans, as they have emerged online in the past. Speculation once arose, suggesting that Olivia Rodrigo's song 'Vampire' was about Taylor Swift. However, the 22-year-old songstress has denied having beef with anyone, let alone Swift, even expressing admiration for the latter and her work on several occasions. So, why is 'Taylor Swift Olivia Rodrigo beef' trending? Here's what we have learned on the same. The term 'Taylor Swift Olivia Rodrigo beef' is trending because of recent online reports circulating the internet. They suggest that the 'Drivers License' singer's team had asked Nashville's Bluebird Cafe to remove pictures of Taylor Swift from the restaurant. These reports emerged from an online video. In it, an employee of Bluebird Cafe revealed that Olivia Rodrigo had visited the restaurant in 2023. This was just ahead of the release of her album, Guts. The employee claimed that before she started performing there, they had 'vowed to remove any visible signs of Taylor Swift.' In response to the allegations, the general manager and COO of Bluebird Cafe, Erika Nichols, uploaded a video on X (formerly Twitter). She revealed the truth about what had actually taken place. Nichols confirmed that Rodrigo had filmed at the restaurant. However, she stated that neither the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star's team nor anyone else asked them to remove Swift's image. Nichols shared that the restaurant themselves decided to remove the 'Bad Blood' songstress' image. This was because it 'was in a position where the filming was taking place.' She explained the decision, saying that they were 'required legally to remove images that are under copyright.' 'We don't own those images, so we cannot give permission for those images to be used in any kind of broadcast,' Nichols added. 'That's the sole reason that the photograph was removed from the place it stood.' Additionally, The Bluebird Cafe's COO said that the aforementioned employee who talked about removing 'visible signs of Taylor Swift' from the restaurant spoke 'out of turn.' She added that he didn't understand why they took down Swift's picture in the first place. Furthermore, he spoke 'carelessly and haphazardly' about it. The Stylist Behind Young Hollywood's Coolest Looks

'Even when I think my schedule is chill, it usually isn't,' stylist Jared Ellner says from his home base of Los Angeles, where he's just returned after a stint in Europe. For the past few weeks, he's been juggling a slate of overlapping international projects, including the wardrobe for A new class of young creatives is driving entertainment forward: YouTube wunderkind-turned-entrepreneur Guel Sener/Thom Browne Molly Gordon in Thom Browne. A self-proclaimed fashion nerd who grew up in suburban New Jersey, Ellner fed his obsession by taking sewing lessons and studying both fashion and art history. He enrolled at Parsons for fashion design, where he built his stamina for sleepless working nights. After college, he took an assistant gig at the now-defunct Garage magazine. The first shoot he styled solo featured Chamberlain; about a year later, her publicist called to ask if he'd consider working with her full-time. Ellner has a track record of taking a client from fashion newbie to front-row fixture. A prime example is Chamberlain, who signed on as a Louis Vuitton ambassador—a first for a YouTube-native talent—in 2019. The two worked together on a handful of projects before her first Met Gala in 2021. 'Things got much more serious after that,' he recalls. (They are so close that Chamberlain modeled Ellner's self-titled fashion line when it launched this past fall.) Dimitrios Kambouris // Getty Images Sabrina Carpenter in vintage Bob Mackie. Sennott was his second client, a connection made by their mutual friend (and her Shiva Baby co-star) Gordon. He styled Sennott for the movie's premiere—her first time working with a stylist. 'We were so green, and now she's a Balenciaga [campaign star],' he says. Ellner's encyclopedic fashion knowledge informs his work, and he's unafraid to drop an archival reference—a styling tactic that has sparked heated discourse among fans online. 'I think people are rightfully fatigued by it, so it's a balance of figuring out when it feels authentic, impactful, and useful, and when it feels like a crutch,' he explains. His favorite nod to the past thus far? Guts , and a year later, Carpenter wore a look from his fall 1994 show for New Year's Eve. Courtesy of Jared Ellner Stylist Jared Ellner. Styling is intimate and requires intense vulnerability, so when it comes to Ellner's clients, the lines often blur between the personal and professional. 'I am so comfortable and productive with Jared, because the foundation of our relationship is friendship rather than business,' Chamberlain says of their partnership. 'We are not afraid to disagree and voice our opinions, because we trust the bond we have, which allows us to truly collaborate.' Gordon echoes this sentiment, saying, 'Jared is so giving, warm, and kind, but he has a cutting honesty that I trust 100 percent.' 'The sweetest part of the job is that all of these people feel comfortable allowing me into such personal parts of their physicality, their image, and their communication of themselves to the world,' Ellner says. With his long-term clients, he enjoys helping to curate an overall image that goes beyond just a year or two of looks. 'The balance of styling is keeping everybody in their zone while also allowing the freedom to experiment and be a different person for a day, without feeling inconsistent with their personal brand,' he explains. A recent moody turn he's proud of is Chamberlain's Oscar after-party look, which might just be his favorite: a Gareth Cattermole // Getty Images Another important through line for Ellner's clients? While they're all serious talents, they don't take themselves too seriously. 'There are a lot of people who would not be comfortable taking a risk or doing anything even slightly off-kilter for a major moment,' he says. 'But all my girls—they're fearless.' Olivia Rodrigo Reaches A Huge Chart Milestone For The Very First Time

Olivia Rodrigo has been teasing for weeks that she's working on new music. While there's no official timeline yet for when fans will hear from the singer-songwriter again, anticipation continues to build for any mention of a new track, or even a full-length. As fans await whatever is coming next, Rodrigo's first two full-lengths remain hugely popular throughout the United States. One of those releases, the debut that introduced her to the public, brings her to a new milestone. Thanks to the popularity of its many hit singles – as well as continued streaming of the set as a complete project – Sour achieves something Rodrigo has never managed before. Sour appears this week on the Billboard 200, where it sometimes charts along with other rankings. Currently, it only performs well enough to appear on the all-encompassing list of the most consumed full-lengths in the country, dipping three spots to No. 68. With this latest showing, the album reaches 208 weeks on the tally. Sour is Rodrigo's first project to spend four full years on the Billboard 200. None of her other efforts have been out long enough to reach such a landmark, but it may only be a matter of time before she repeats the feat. So far, Sour has spent nearly two and a half times as long on the Billboard 200 as Rodrigo's follow-up, Guts, which is still present on the list. That follow-up is now up to 88 weeks. Rodrigo has sent only one other project to the Billboard 200. In late 2023, the Guts: The Secret Tracks EP spent just one week in the absolute last spot, at No. 200, before disappearing. Speaking of Guts, Rodrigo's sophomore effort is not far behind Sour on the Billboard 200. It slides a few places to No. 82 this frame. Oddly, Guts finds space on both the Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Top Alternative Albums rankings, while Sour does not. This week, the Grammy-nominated project slips slightly to Nos. 19 and 10, respectively, on those tallies. According to Luminate, in the latest tracking period in the U.S., Sour shifted exactly 14,500 equivalent units. Most of that figure came from streaming activity, though it also sold about 1,300 copies. Guts was not far behind, moving 13,500 equivalent units — just 1,000 fewer than its predecessor. A little more than 1,100 of those were actual sales.

Olivia Rodrigo's Albums Manage An Odd Performance On The Charts

It's been over a year and a half since Olivia Rodrigo released an album. The singer-songwriter has only dropped two projects throughout her incredibly successful career, starting with Sour and, then returning more recently, Guts, which arrived in September 2023. Since their release, both full-lengths have continued to perform incredibly well, consistently appearing on rankings dedicated to both streaming activity and sales. Due to continued consumption in both areas, the titles also regularly show up on general consumption lists. While there are some stark differences between the Grammy-nominated sets in terms of pure purchases in the United Kingdom, it seems that streaming activity around both Sour and Guts is almost identical, which is an amazing feat considering the two were released more than two years apart. This week in the U.K., Sour and Guts sit side-by-side on the Official Albums Streaming ranking. That list is dedicated solely to the full-lengths and EPs that accumulate the most plays on Spotify, Apple Music, and other similar platforms. This frame, the two titles actually swap places. Sour, the older of the two, rises from No. 25 to No. 24. At the same time, Guts dips one spot to No. 25. The fact that both efforts are still living inside the top 40 on the list of the most-streamed albums in the U.K. — one of the largest music markets in the world — is huge for her. What's even more notable is that the number of streams these collections are garnering week after week appears to be nearly identical. Last frame, they sat right next to one another on this tally. This time around, that statement still rings true, even as each moves just one spot. For every release in a musician's catalog to be generating what must be a massive number of plays on streaming platforms — especially after so much time — and for them to be competing with one another, despite one being significantly older, speaks volumes about Rodrigo's longevity and continued popularity. Her work constantly displays continued longevity, and neither set is more popular on streaming sites than the other…at least not in any meaningful way at this point in their lifespans. When it comes to sales, however, the story changes. Guts drops more than 20 spaces on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts, though it's still present between Nos. 60 and 65 on those lists. Sour, by comparison, appears at least 10 spots further down — and on the Official Albums Sales list, it comes in 20 positions lower than Guts. That's not unusual, as older collections typically don't sell as well as newer ones. It's quite clear, though, that Rodrigo's fans are more than happy to continue streaming both releases almost equally.
