What teams would make sense if the Boston Celtics traded Jrue Holiday?

As the Boston Celtics prepare for the 2025 NBA offseason, they will do so knowing that change is on the horizon. Brad Stevens is back on the clock, and he needs to work his magic once again. This time, rather than making moves to put the Celtics over the top, he must get the team below the second luxury tax apron while positioning them to contend in the near future. Jrue Holiday is among the most likely trade candidates. The veteran point guard is entering the second year of his four-year $134 million contract, and is set to earn north of $32 million next season. Fortunately, Holiday's reputation as a winning player should make it easy to find willing trade partners. Greg Maneikis and Will Weir discussed potential suitors for Holiday during a recent episode of the "Green With Envy" podcast. The duo explored the trade rumors linking the two-time NBA champion wth the Dallas Mavericks and LA Clippers, while also giving their own takes on where would make sense for Holiday to continue his career. Exploring potential Boston Celtics draft targets

Draft night is less than a week away, taking place on Wednesday, June 25. The Boston Celtics are armed with the 28th and 32nd picks in the draft, not exactly elite firepower, but enough to make some noise, at least. Since taking over as the Celtics' President of Basketball Operations, Brad Stevens has elected to target longer-tenured collegiate players in the latter stages of the draft. The idea is that players with three, four or even five years of collegiate experience come into the NBA with a little more polish, professionalism and emotional IQ. Of course, if an enticing one-and-done prospect falls into the Celtics' lap, they will likely take a swing on them. But, for the most part, Stevens has a type and should be expected to stick with it moving forward. If you're looking for some ideas of who the Celtics could be targeting on draft night, The folks behind the "Green With Envy" podcast put together a clip with cohost of the CLNS Media "First to the Floor" podcast Wayne Spooney. Could the Boston Celtics find a way to trade for Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo?

Could the Boston Celtics find a way to trade for Milwaukee Bucks star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo? It is the biggest open secret perhaps in the league that the Greek Freak is not long for the Bucks, and will likely be traded to another ball club soon unless he makes it clear he wants to remain in Milwaukee. But with the Celtics also staring down a historic payroll and tax bill as well, it seems like a hard row to hoe to reduce the salary on Boston's roster while also landing a player making the sort of max money Giannis currently is taking home. Just how realistic are these ideas of getting Antetokounmpo to the Celtics? Advertisement The folks behind the "Green With Envy" YouTube channel put together a clip taking a deep dive into the topic of a Giannis trade to Boston and what it might take. Check it out below! Is Jrue Holiday the Boston Celtics' success in the 2025 NBA Playoffs? Is Jrue Holiday the Boston Celtics' success in the 2025 NBA Playoffs? One can make a legitimate case that a number of players could serve as a sort of critical element for the Celtics' postseason success. Star forwards Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown of course go without saying, and star big man Kristaps Porzingis has a very good case here as well. Even point guard Derrick White and veteran forward Al Horford have a solid case as well, but the folks behind the "Green With Envy" YouTube channel put together a clip diving into why they think the UCLA alum is the man for the job for Boston.
