Oklahoma 2026 QB target shines at Elite 11 finals
Oklahoma 2026 QB target shines at Elite 11 finals While Oklahoma's quarterback situation remains a mystery in the 2026 recruiting class, one of their targets is having a week at the Elite 11 Finals in California. Four-star quarterback and Oklahoma Sooners target, Bowe Bentley, has performed well at the Elite 11 finals and earned the distinction of top performer from night two by Rivals recruiting expert Adam Gorney. Down to Oklahoma and LSU, Bentley delivered arguably the best performance of the night. What we loved the most is that the Celina, Texas four-star was firing the ball on most throws, really spinning it and getting it there with purpose. He was good throwing from the pocket, escaping pressure, resetting and getting it out and hitting receivers on every kind of route. It was a really strong, impressive showing that showed off a range of skills. - Gorney, Rivals In addition to Gorney's praise, Bentley earned high praise from 247Sports recruiting analysts Andrew Ivins and Tom Loy, who lauded Bentley's intermediate passing ability. Charles Power of On3 liked what he saw from Bentley and said he was 18 of 20 on his throws. Bentley is an incredible dual-threat quarterback. He can throw to all levels and has the athleticism and speed to create big plays with his legs. He's drawn some comparisons to Oklahoma starting quarterback John Mateer after an undefeated season for Celina. In his junior season, Bentley threw for 3,211 yards and 47 touchdowns and ran for 923 yards and 16 more scores on the ground. The Oklahoma Sooners are working to secure a commitment from Bentley. Both OU and LSU hosted Bentley for an official visit in the last month, and both schools feel like they're in a strong position to earn his pledge.

Georgia Facing Uncertainty With Star Playmaker Amid Recruiting Rumors
The Georgia Bulldogs have received positive recruiting updates from a lot of different prospects lately. But things may still be up in the air with one four-star wide receiver. Rivals' Adam Gorney suggested Thursday that the Bulldogs could be in line to get a commitment from Milton, Georgia native and four-star receiver Craig Dandridge. But that is also not guaranteed. Advertisement "Dandridge's recruitment could still go in a lot of ways with Georgia, Florida, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Stanford, Oklahoma and Clemson standing out the most for the four-star receiver from Milton (Ga.) Cambridge," wrote Gorney. "If Dandrige is looking for things on and off the field, especially in academics, then the Cardinal could be a surprise pick here since he loved seeing those options on his weekend visit. "Still, there are many other considerations as the Bulldogs are always tough to turn down." Georgia Bulldogs football head coach Kirby Smart© Dale Zanine-Imagn Images While Gorney's portrayed the receiver's recruiting process with a lot of uncertainty, On3's Jeremy Johnson had a more positive update this week for Georgia. Advertisement "Dandridge has felt the love in Athens. He talks to Georgia wide receiver coach James Coley every day. Coley was in attendance for Dandridge's spring game on Thursday," wrote Johnson on Wednesday. "Dandridge feels good about the bond he's built with Coley." The receiver also told Johnson that the Bulldogs are at the top of his recruiting board. According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, Dandridge is the No. 48 wide receiver in the 2026 class. The wideout is also the 38th-ranked Georgia recruit and No. 310 overall prospect in the class. The Bulldogs already have two receiver commitments for the 2026 class – four-star wideout Vance Spafford and three-star recruit Brady Marchese. Related: Highly Touted Star Puts Georgia on Notice

Oregon Football listed as 'team to beat' for one of top DL in 2027 class
Oregon Football listed as 'team to beat' for one of top DL in 2027 class All focus over the past few weeks has been on the 2026 recruiting class for the Oregon Ducks, but behind the scenes, Dan Lanning and his staff have quietly been making a strong push down the road as well. Earlier this week, Rivals' recruiting director Adam Gorney gave a breakdown on the recruitment for some of the top players in the 2027 class, and he stated that the Ducks are the "team to beat" for 4-star defensive tackle Kasi Currie, who stands at 6-foot-5, 315 pounds. As a California native from Sierra Canyon, Oregon has been an early name to watch in the recruitment for Currie, who the 247Sports Composite rates as the No. 156 player in the class, and No. 13 defensive lineman. "Emerging as one of the top 2027 defensive tackles nationally, Oregon has a big early edge for the Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon standout as he's loved his trips to Eugene and will be back on June 1," Gorney wrote. While it is still early in his recruitment, and offers continue to pour in for the fast-rising sophomore, Lanning and his team have put themselves in a good position early on. They will have to battle some other big names down the stretch, though. "Texas A&M, Tennessee, and USC are three others to watch, and LSU just offered on Tuesday," Gorney said. "But Oregon is definitely the team to beat." Currie was on campus in Eugene for the Ducks' spring game, and he plans to return on June 1 later this summer. The Ducks don't have any commitments in the 2027 class, but Currie would be a great player to kick things off should he give his verbal in the coming months.
