Helena Christensen Breaks Down Her Six-Minute 'Sexy Island Makeup Look'

Helena Christensen is diligent at dodging UV rays. 'I am trying to be very disciplined about protecting my skin, because I'm a very outdoorsy person,' she says while walking Vogue through her beauty secrets from a balmy bathroom in the Bahamas. That said, the Danish-born model confesses: 'I like when your skin looks like it's been kissed by the sun.' And in the six minutes to follow, she uses her go-to products to create a makeup look that channels the 'exotic, beach' vibe she's after—no sunbathing required. For her first order of business, the Strangelove creative director pats Westman Atelier's Sun Tone Bronzing Drops onto her sunscreen-clad cheeks. 'You just need so little to give you that glow,' she says. And though she's already giving off tropical vibes, the 56-year-old decides to spend five more minutes amping up her out-of-office radiance. After adding a pop of creamy pink color to her cheeks with Goop's Colorglow Glow Balm, Christensen decks her eyes with a subtle wash of sparkling color, topping Merit's Flush Balm Cream Blush with shimmering shadow from Hourglass. 'I love putting something on my eyelids that just enhances the natural shadow that you already have,' she says. But after using a fan to set her makeup in the Bahamas heat, Christensen shares where her loyalty to barely-there makeup ends. Capping off her look with a hibiscus-red lipstick from Dries Van Noten, she confesses: 'I like natural lips, but I love red lips… The no-makeup-makeup look just fell apart.' The model takes a moment to fluff up her ocean-breeze-ruffled hair and dab on some Strangelove perfume oil, then calls it a wrap. 'This is my sexy island look,' she says, smiling as she heads back to the beach. Shop Helena Christensen's routine, below. On Saturday, June 14, the Goop founder took to Instagram to reveal that she made a "boyfriend breakfast" from locally sourced sausage, eggs, spinach, white beans, tomatoes and eggs. In the video, Paltrow filmed herself doing each step of the cooking process, from rinsing the beans and taking them out from their overnight soak, to prepping the skillet and frying up all the ingredients to make a delicious shakshuka. The twist, however, was Paltrow's clothing — or lack thereof. Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter calls out Oscar winner for going topless on Instagram

Apple Martin cheekily reacted to her mom, Gwyneth Paltrow, ditching her top to cook a 'boyfriend breakfast' while countryside in Italy. 'Did I steal your shirt by accident or …,' the 21-year-old wrote in the comment section of an Instagram video of the actress standing over a stovetop wearing nothing but white pajama pants on Saturday. The Goop founder, 52, was amused by the model's response, writing back with a laughing emoji. The clip showed Paltrow, who shares Apple and son Moses, 19, with her ex-husband, Chris Martin, whipping up a high-protein meal on a skillet. She was seen with her back facing the camera as she cooked sausage, cherry tomatoes, white beans and eggs. Eventually, the actress put on a top as she flipped the camera toward her. At the end, Paltrow indulged in her meal while enjoying the countryside. 'This was a Tuscan inspired high protein #boyfriendbreakfast skillet,' the businesswoman captioned the clip. Several fans swooned over the lifestyle guru, including actress Jennifer Garner, who quipped, 'Can I be your boyfriend?' 'You are a vibe,' another chimed in, as a third added, 'Lil dangerous to be cooking with no shirt on.' Paltrow often shares videos of herself whipping up meals. In March, she posted a makeup-free video of herself cooking breakfast and drinking coffee. At the time, critics assumed she was poking fun at Meghan Markle's new Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan. The pals, however, squashed the rumours with a cheeky video of themselves eating pie together. Paltrow's social media cooking series has featured glimpses of her diet since she and her husband, Brad Falchuk, ditched the Paleo diet after she became 'obsessed with eating very, very healthily.' The Shakespeare in Love star told her Goop Podcast listeners in April that she was slowly indulging more in breads and pasta.

Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter Apple posts sassy response to mom's shock topless video

Now Gwyneth Paltrow 's daughter has weighed in on her mother's topless cooking video. Apple Martin, 21, joked about the whereabouts of her mother's clothing after her mother recorded herself preparing breakfast without a top on. 'Did I steal your shirt by accident or....' Apple - whose father is Gwyneth's ex-husband Chris Martin - commented. An amused Gwyneth, 52, replied directly to her daughter with a laughing-crying emoji. The video began with Gwyneth cooking her confection over the stove without a shirt on, however she was also seen wearing her lace pajama top later in the video. 'This was a Tuscan inspired high protein #boyfriendbreakfast skillet with sausage from the local butcher, white beans, spinach, cherry tomatoes and of course eggs,' she captioned the post. The final dish was a sizzling, mouthwatering masterpiece. Gwyneth has remained on good terms with Apple's father since their 2016 divorce and also shares son Moses, 19, with the Coldplay singer. She is now married to producer Brad Falchuk, while Chris recently split from his fiancee Dakota Johnson after almost eight years together. Gwyneth's topless cooking video, meanwhile, isn't the first time she has caused a stir - case and point her infamous 'This Smells Like My Vagina' candle, released by her Goop company in 2020. The Hollywood star launched the wellness company Goop in September 2008, with it evolving into an e-commerce site, lifestyle publication and even a Netflix documentary titled The Goop Lab With Gwyneth Paltrow. But while she has become renowned for revolving her life around Goop, Gwyneth was recently accused of not being as hands-on with her brand as much as she makes out. Last month, she attended the 2025 Mindvalley Manifesting Summit and spoke about the brand's now infamous 'This Smells Like My Vagina' candle. But fans questioned how much truth there was to her recounting of the controversial candle's origins, suggesting it was a 'fake PR story'. Goop released a candle called 'This Smells Like My Vagina' with the company Heretic in 2020, going instantly viral. Detailing how they came up with the product, Gwyneth explained that she was working with the perfumer Douglas Little to create scents for Goop, when she jokingly picked one up and said: 'This smells like my vagina.' She recalled: 'That product is so fascinating because we were messing around with different scents one day. And I smelled something and I was like, "Oh, that smells like... you know". 'I was joking. And then [Douglas] was like, "Oh we should make that a candle and put it on the site."' The entrepreneur thought Douglas was kidding and sarcastically agreed that it 'sounded like a winner.' She continued: 'All of a sudden, it was literally on the website. And then we broke the Internet again. And then it took us a long time to live that one down'. However, Gwyneth said she decided that she liked the idea, saying: 'But, I kept it on the site because there is an aspect to women's sexuality, that I think, we're socialized to feel a lot of shame. 'And I sort of loved this kind of punk rock idea. "We are beautiful and we are awesome and go f*** yourself."' And while the story emitted applause and laughter from the sold-out audience, fans are now becoming increasingly dubious. Some pointed to the story as proof that Gwyneth isn't as enmeshed with the brand as she says she is, taking to Reddit to suggest: 'It is possible she has little to do with the day to day running of the business. 'A lot of these celebrity businesses are run by actual business professionals and the celebrity takes all the credit. 'It's not like she's designing products or has a background in marketing and finances. She may just be the mascot.' But others accused Gwyneth of fabricating the entire story for the sake of an exciting PR spin. They wrote: '"I just make jokes and then my team goes rogue without thinking of potential PR issues, and I have no say in what is produced, labelled or goes on the website for my own brand." Sure, Jan'. 'Out of touch millionaires really want us plebs to believe they say things jokingly in meetings and entire product launches happen by accident?' 'Hate these fake PR stories'; 'They knew it would sell because of the buzzy name, no need to be cheeky.'

Gwyneth Paltrow cooks topless, prompts hilarious response from daughter Apple

Gwyneth Paltrow turned up the heat in the kitchen to share a new recipe with her followers. The Goop founder slipped off her shirt and cooked a meal while topless in a video posted on Instagram. Paltrow, 52, received feedback from thousands of followers in support of her dressed-down appearance, including a quip from her daughter, Apple Martin. The Marvel star wore only a pair of white linen pajama bottoms with a scalloped hem while standing in front of the stove as she detailed the process of making a white bean and sausage shakshuka "Tuscan style." "This was a Tuscan inspired high protein #boyfriendbreakfast skillet with sausage from the local butcher, white beans, spinach, cherry tomatoes and of course eggs," Paltrow captioned the short cooking clip. Apple, 21, asked the question on everyone's mind, "Did I steal your shirt by accident or … " Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin started their family when Apple was born in 2004. Paltrow was pregnant at the time of their 2003 Santa Barbara Courthouse wedding, and they welcomed their son, Moses, in 2006. Jennifer Garner asked her buddy online, "Can I be your boyfriend?" Billy Bush threw a jab at the Duchess of Sussex and wrote, "Take that Markle. Haha. Looks good girl." While some were impressed with Paltrow's grace in front of the stove, others were quick to criticize the Academy Award winner. "Impressed by the fearlessness it takes to make that in an all white outfit," one fan wrote, while another joked, "I make breakfast the same way only I raise the shades so I could give my neighbor a treat." "Is topless cooking a Tuscan thing," one user asked. "Anything for attention," another fan wrote. "Lil dangerous to be cooking with no shirt on, wow this is rich people faking life," one user noted. Paltrow and Meghan Markle were reportedly feuding earlier this year after the Duchess of Sussex launched her As Ever brand. The "Shakespeare in Love" star put the rumors to rest in May and told People magazine, "We have a text friendship so far. I've been traveling quite a bit." She added, "I don't like that, when people try to pit women against each other." In fact, in March, Paltrow quickly shut down speculation of any bad blood between the two. "I genuinely do not understand this at all whatsoever," the Goop founder said in a video on her Instagram story while answering fans for an "Ask me a question" segment. A fan asked, "Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have?" Paltrow then panned her phone to the left, revealing a shrugging Markle sitting at her kitchen table eating a piece of pie before starting to laugh. Markle also posted the video to her Instagram story.
