For the latest Glastonbury weather forecast you need to follow a guy called Gav

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video For those heading to Glastonbury Festival next week, talk about the weather is the hot topic in the days leading up to the massive music event. From frantically checking the forecast in the hopes that it won't be a washout, to packing and repacking different types of clothes for the changing weather, Glasto-goers are on weather watch. One man has developed quite the cult-following for his Glastonbury weather updates, with more than 20,000 subscribers on YouTube. His name is Gavin Partridge, 47 – otherwise known as GavsWeatherVids. The 47-year-old amateur weather forecaster from Long Buckby, Northamptonshire, has been running his Glastonbury weather forecast predictions since the creation of his channel in 2012. 'It started off with me looking at the weather for specific summer events and Glasto is one of the biggest,' Gav told Metro. 'I've got a bit of a reputation with the Glasto-goers now and my fanbase has steadily grown. 'It really is lovely. 'In 2022 it really started blowing up. I sent my address to somebody and then suddenly all these postcards started getting delivered to me straight from Glasto. 'It was a bad year for me that year and I thought I would stop Glasto updates altogether but the thought of people's kindness helped me through.' For fans of Gav's videos, you'll already know that he encourages festival goers to 'soak up the atmosphere' on the Wednesday once they've pitched up their tents. He officially confirmed that this is his Glastonbury catchphrase. 'It has certainly caught on over the years with Glasto-goers,' he said. 'It wasn't like that at first. One year I didn't say the catchphrase at all but somebody noticed and then it became the catchphrase that it is today.' Gav uses different forecast models to predict the likelihood of certain weather patterns with the technology set up in his living room. The weather vlogger posted his first Glastonbury weather forecast on YouTube on Friday, 12 days before gates open on June 25, 2025. His second update was posted on YouTube yesterday and already has 3,400 views. While Gav also makes general videos, he said his Glasto ones are the ones that have the closest following. 'I'm not sure why there is so much interest in my Glasto videos – maybe it is my personality. 'I think it acts as an official countdown for the festival goers. People are interested in whether it will be sunny or a washout. 'What is lovely is whatever news I deliver, good or bad, it is always taken well by Glasto-goers.' Gav has no plans to stop making the videos and is a full-time YouTuber now. 'It is like my child,' he said. 'I think if I was to go to Glasto myself I'd need a nice hotel nearby. Camping isn't my thing.' 'It would be great to meet some of the subscribers at some point though.' Wednesday, June 25 – High pressure in control, which means it will mostly be sunny, dry and hot, with temperatures into the 30s. Thursday, June 26 – High pressure starts to push up to the north as a cooler and fresher north wind comes in. Temperatures dropping really quite dramatically around to the mid-20s. Friday, June 27 – Mainly dry, with temperatures in the upper teens. Saturday, June 28 – High pressure is back in dominance with temperatures in the low-20s. Sunday, June 29 – High pressure is just out to the west, but temperatures start to peak back up again into the mid-20s. Hot temperatures are often talked about among Glasto fans, but you don't want it too hot. The hottest temperature recorded at the festival was in 2017, when temperatures soared to 31.2°C on Wednesday, June 21. More Trending The intense heat impacted attendees, with some needing medical treatment because of the hot conditions. Rain and mud are the other talking point at Glastonbury, and they are an awful combo. The wettest day happened in 2007 when 60.1mm of rain fell on the Friday, June 22. Parts of the site were turned into a muddy quagmire and the rain continued throughout the weekend for those watching headliners Arctic Monkeys, The Who, and The Killers. Glastonbury fans recommend 'biggest up and comers' on line-up this year

Glastonbury Festival will take place in June, with the likes of The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo set to perform on the Pyramid Stage, but there are plenty more acts to see Music fans have recommended some of the "biggest up and comers" gracing this year's Glastonbury Festival line-up. Alongside headliners The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo on the Pyramid Stage, Worthy Farm is set to showcase a plethora of talents across its many stages. Seasoned Glasto-goers are recommending a wander from the main stage to witness the 'up and coming' stars of future festivals. A thread on the r/GlastonburyFestival Reddit asked: "Who are this year's biggest up and comers?" A consensus formed in the comments as numerous respondents championed one band in particular, who will be playing the festival this year. ‌ ‌ The most upvoted response reads: "Wunderhorse." Recognised for their supporting slot on Sam Fender's recent UK tour, Jacob Slater's ensemble has experienced a surge in recognition ever since. One Redditor proposed catching Antony Szmierek live, with another backing this guidance and reminiscing over his previous electrifying performance at the West Holts stage. That enthusiast shared: "Saw him in the West Holts bar last year and it was a vibe. I've seen him a few times elsewhere, the mixing can sometimes be a bit hit or miss. Would recommend!". Fat Dog received nods, singled out by one forum user as "one of the best live acts". They've also had the opportunity to warm up crowds for Yard Act during a gig at Millennium Square in Leeds. One festival-goer recounted their previous experience, writing: "I saw them last year. They were one of the best live acts I've seen in a long time. Whole crowd jumping around as one... and they played at 13:00, while everyone was mostly sober." Another attendee offered insights on potential highlights for this year's festival. They wrote: "Rachel Chinouriri has already grown so much in the last year and I think she will continue to get bigger. ‌ "I also think Alessi Rose will also start making headlines in the next couple of years, funny enough Rachel had the second slot on the other stage on Sunday last year so very similar to Alessi this year. And of course Westside Cowboy who won the emerging talent competition. "Then there are people like CMAT who have been growing at a steady rate and Inhaler are doing well as well." ‌ CMAT, a name that kept cropping up among festival enthusiasts, earned praise from someone who felt their Pyramid Stage billing was well-earned. They wrote: "I was really pleased to see CMAT is on the Pyramid stage this year. I saw her at Woodsies in 2023. She's great live. Really happy for her." Surprisingly, Lambrini Girls, the punk rock outfit from Brighton, wasn't as prominent on the lineup as one would expect. A dedicated fan expressed their disappointment, writing: "I was certain Lambrini Girls would be in a higher spot, after playing three (?) times last year and their album release I feel like they've blown up, but maybe I'm just in a bubble and they're more niche than I thought."

How to find Glastonbury's secret spots according to people who've been before

As one of the UK's biggest and most beloved festivals, there is plenty of myth and legend surrounding Glastonbury and its secrets. From casually bumping into celebrities to catching the headliners on the Pyramid Stage, it's easy to enjoy the festival with minimal exploring. However, if you want to really immerse yourself in Worthy Farm, there's a lot more to see than Charli XCX's Saturday night set. Secret sets, hidden hideaways, the elusive underground piano bar; the weekend is bursting with places waiting to be discovered. But how exactly do you find them? Well, most will tell you to just explore — but with the beauty of social media and some very helpful Glasto-goers, there are some tips you need to know. Secret sets are probably the easiest thing to find at the festival, marked on the lineup as TBA or a suspicious band name (2025's main suspect is Patchwork). Speculation about who these could be is always huge so you'll likely have a strong idea of who might be about to burst on stage. Last year saw a TBA slot at 6pm on Woodsies with festival-goers convinced it was either The Killers, Kings of Leon or who it actually turned out to be: Kasabian. Clearly the rumour mill was on the right track – a 'K' named band with rock vibe. Metro was right at the barrier for this one, getting there an entire act early to secure a slot. Previous secret sets have included Pulp, Radiohead, Jack White, Foo Fighters and more. You've just got to hedge your bets for this, follow Glastonbury social media pages like secretglasto or The Glasto Thingy for any potential leads or confirmations. Okay, disclaimer time: this one is a long shot and did not work for us last year. Anyone who has been to Glastonbury will have seen the free press paper, which has clues about potential sets and hidden gems. However, you need to know what you're looking for and trying to decipher clues is not so easy. This is where keeping an eye on social media comes in extra handy. Even if you find something you think is a clue that you can't decipher, post it online — maybe someone can help you out. Rumour has it that a faint symbol appeared one year on a printed map, marking the location of the underground piano bar. We couldn't find this on any of the paper maps we picked up last year, but maybe that was the sleep deprivation and bad eyesight. The biggest advice you'll get from seasoned Glastonbury goers is to abandon the busy areas and just get stuck in. Go for a walk, find those bars and small corners away from the busy main areas and crowds. Since the secret areas are changing every year, the only way to find them is by actually stumbling across them in person. This links to another common bit of advice, which is if you see a queue to nowhere, join it. 'Just look for long lines to nowhere in the middle of the night,' said XpertPwnage on Reddit. More Trending This is one of the only ways to find the underground piano bar — the stuff of legends — and it is truly sheer luck. That being said, stop trying to find everything and tick off your Worthy Farm experience. It will just leave you disappointed. Let the festival take you wherever it wants to go, you might surprise yourself. Got a story? Glastonbury fans say one stage has 'best line-up' after act announced

One of the stages at Glastonbury Festival has been dubbed the 'best' the festival has to offer so far, with some fans hoping to avoid the crowds to catch one act With Glastonbury Festival fast approaching and music fans hyped up for the iconic event, a stage line-up has been crowned the "best" yet by eager festival-goers all thanks to a stellar act. Amid the excitement for Neil Young, Olivia Rodrigo, and The 1975 on the main Pyramid stage, it's another platform commanding attention with its recently unveiled line-up. The announcement of performers destined for the Park Stage has created quite the buzz among music fans, with suggestions that one particular act in the rota could be the highlight of the whole Glastonbury Festival. Although Pulp 's absence is noted by fans disappointed the legends will not feature, attendees are thrilled over an artist whose presence seems to compensate amply. ‌ ‌ Earlier this week, Reddit users got a glimpse of the Park Stage poster, swiftly hailing it as the top pick for what the festival has in store. Despite expectations of a packed crowd, fans' determination to catch Geordie Greep — formerly of Black Midi and now launching his solo career with a new album under his belt — on the Park Stage is palpable. Festival-goers are crossing their fingers, hoping the turnout won't hamper their attempts to experience Greep's performance, indicating he might be in for a sizeable audience. A post to the r/GlastonburyFestival subreddit saw one user write: "It's going to be hell, everyone sweating rivers, cannot go to wee because you lose the spot, and my general anxiety around crowds in enclosed spaces is going to f**k me up. Will be there." Glasto-goers are thrilled with the line-up, with one fan expressing their excitement online. They wrote: "I've got the exact same fear. Cannot wait for that Ca7riel and Paco, Glass Beams run at West Holts but Geordie Greep and Ichiko Aoba are calling my name." Another keen festivalgoer added: "Best lineup of any stage so far. GEORDIE GREEP!!! I believe some of the bands of Bimble Inn are way way too big for that stage but I won't say which so you people won't ram the place half an hour before I get there." ‌ Yet another exclaimed: "The Greep!" as anticipation builds for the artist's solo debut at Glastonbury, after he previously rocked the West Holts stage last year with Black Midi. What will Geordie Greep play at Glastonbury Festival? ‌ While it is not known what Geordie Greep will play at the much-awaited festival event, his recent gigs could give fans a clue. including his double sell-out performances at London's KOKO. A list of songs from the memorable night at KOKO might indicate what's in store for the Glastonbury audience, though setlists can always surprise. The setlist can be found below. And it's not just Greep that has fans excited. The Maccabees are tipped to be a huge draw too. One disappointed music lover lamented their lack of tickets to the festival. They wrote: "Didn't get tickets and this lineup is a banger for me. Wishing good vibes and sunny skies for all who get to attend." Another added: "This is the first poster I've seen that makes me really sad I'm not going. The Maccabees headlining could be... a moment. And I speak of someone who first saw them randomly in Cafe de Paris on Leicester Square in 2006 (maybe 2005? ) and has been a solid fan ever since." A third wrote: "Great lineup. Do we know where Brian Jonestown Massacre are playing yet?"
