Umbrella Academy: Plan B # 1— The Sparrow Academy
It is a rare occasion when we witness a superb adaptation finish a line before the story is fully drawn, and I am thrilled to know that things in comic form will be as weird and different as a set of timelines set off by Number 1. Six years later, we pick up where we left off. After the mass release of The City's greatest foes and the chaos that was to be known as Hotel Oblivion, Umbrella learns that other brothers and sisters exist : The Sparrow Academy. Mom is alive and well, and the Sparrows are dubbed by her as the best ones. They tell their siblings (as only siblings can do) the Umbrellas were the failures. No one knows how to hurt each other more than family, and this will be an all-out battle for the upper hand, a bloody one. This adaptation invites you to reread the cult classic and remember how things ended up, because we will tend to mix it up with the TV series (and things are very different). I have to say that in 2019, I was wondering about how they were going to film Hotel Oblivion, and the wedding party at the end of the world surpassed my expectations. It is one of my favorite screen scenes of all time, as it reminds me of my very weird and wonderful family (we are six siblings). Having said that, this will be blood and mayhem all around, and I can′t wait! ′Umbrella Academy: Plan B # 1′ is on sale since June 11th, 2025. Genre: Superhero, Science-Fiction, Action/Adventure Format: FC, 32 pages; Miniseries Price: $4.99 UPC: 7 61568 01420 4 00151

My Chemical Romance's Classic Hits No. 1 For The First Time In Two Decades
My Chemical Romance returns to No. 1 on the U.K.'s Official Rock & Metal Albums chart with Three ... More Cheers for Sweet Revenge, nearly 20 years after its first peak. LONDON - NOVEMBER 05: My Chemical Romance posed in London on November 05 2005. L - R Ray Toro, Mikey Way, Gerard Way, Frank Iero, Bob Bryar (Photo by Naki/Redferns) My Chemical Romance helped bring a developing subgenre of rock music known as emo to the public consciousness in the mid-aughts with its album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. The hardcore effort was filled with clever lyrics, dark imagery, and plenty of angst that appealed to a young audience. The group quickly became global superstars thanks to the project, which produced singles like "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" and "Helena." This week, the set is a major smash in the United Kingdom again, following a special re-release that has turned it into a bestselling title and helped the project climb back to the top. In early June, a deluxe edition of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge was released, and fans picked it up in large numbers. The set included all of the original tunes, remixed versions of them, and several previously unreleased live recordings from the group. That proved to be enough to convince thousands to pick up a copy — though My Chemical Romance's fanbase is so strong that it probably wouldn't have taken much for the title to sell well again. This frame, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge rockets from No. 11 to No. 1 on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart. The title has now spent 333 weeks on the list of the bestselling efforts in those genres, and just three of those have been at No. 1. The effort hadn't been seen on the throne of the rock ranking since May 2005, just a little over two decades ago, when it earned almost back-to-back stays at the summit. At the same time that Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge returns to No. 1 — its all-time peak on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart — the full-length reaches a new high point on two additional tallies. My Chemical Romance pushes its sophomore set back onto both the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums rosters. The project reappears at Nos. 5 and 9, respectively, which mark new best showings for the effort. This week is the first for Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge inside the top 10 on both of those rankings. My Chemical Romance earns its third placement inside that region on the Official Physical Albums chart and its second-ever on the Official Albums ranking, which lists the most consumed full-lengths and EPs in the nation.

My Chemical Romance's Catalog Continues To Soar, Despite A Lack Of New Music
My Chemical Romance's 'Helena' is now certified four-times platinum by the RIAA, joining a short ... More list of the band's most successful songs in the U.S. MILAN, ITALY - NOVEMBER 21: My Chemical Romance posed backstage in Milan on November 21 2006. L-R Ray Toro, Frank Iero,Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Bob Bryar (Photo by Mick Hutson/Redferns) My Chemical Romance hasn't shared a full-length album in almost a decade and a half, but fans are clearly still devouring its discography. The band's anthems — both the major hits and the deeper cuts — continue to rack up streams and sales throughout the U.S., and all that attention has earned the group a new collection of RIAA certifications. These latest wins show that even during an extended hiatus, the staple of the emo movement is still relevant to what must be a large number of listeners. The biggest new certification scored by My Chemical Romance belongs to "Helena." The single, which helped catapult the band to fame, has quietly been racking up plays and sales – but likely largely streams – even though its last certification was snagged way back in 2008. At that point, it was named a gold hit for moving 500,000 equivalent units. This time around, it leaps all the way to four-times-platinum status, which means it has now shifted four million units in the U.S. alone. That's not the only win for the group this time around. Another massive single, "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)," also earns new love from the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). The cut was previously certified platinum in 2017, and it has now reached triple-platinum territory. While the band's most recognizable singles are being upgraded, other beloved tracks reach the RIAA's radar for the first time. "The Ghost of You" jumps straight to platinum, bypassing the usual gold milestone. At the same time, two more tunes, "Thank You for the Venom" and "You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison,' have both finally been certified gold. With its latest award, "Helena" is now tied as My Chemical Romance's second-most-certified track in the U.S. It matches the total earned by "Teenagers," another fan favorite that has also moved four million units. Sitting above them all is "Welcome to the Black Parade," which has already established its five-times-platinum status. Just behind that trio are a pair of platinum-certified smashes: "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" and now "The Ghost of You." Altogether, the band has seven songs that have at least gone gold. These latest RIAA awards show that My Chemical Romance's music is still being consumed in large numbers, even without much new material to promote. The band hasn't released a proper studio album since 2010's Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, though a handful of standalone songs and compilations have trickled out since then.
