The plan, unveiled by Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, President of the General Presidency, centres on integrating artificial intelligence, smart systems, and targeted enrichment programmes across the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. Designed around three guiding pillars—elevating the sanctity of the holy sites, enhancing the spiritual journey, and sharing the values of Islam globally—the plan involves 120 enrichment initiatives. Among these are 10 'smart tracks' aimed at improving the digital experience for pilgrims, alongside 50 educational and scientific programmes promoting spiritual awareness and intellectual engagement. More than 2,000 trained Saudi personnel will be deployed to assist worshippers across the holy sites, ensuring a high standard of service and logistical coordination. The plan also introduces seven specialised enrichment tracks that emphasise tolerance and moderation, with content available in multiple languages to serve the diverse global community of pilgrims.

Additionally, field teams conducted 33,310 awareness tours and 140 lectures, fostering dialogue on Ramadan's spiritual significance. Partnerships with local leaders amplified reach, particularly in remote areas. Volunteers distributed translated materials to non-Arabic speakers, promoting inclusivity. 150,000 Umrah pilgrims benefit from hair cutting service to exit from Ihram during Ramadan

Saudi Gazette report MAKKAH — As many as 150,000 Umrah pilgrims have benefited from the hair cutting service, introduced by the General Presidency for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, to exit from Ihram during the holy month of Ramadan. The authority has launched the trial operation of the ritual of exiting from the state of Ihram after completion of Umrah rituals on the courtyard of the Grand Mosque for the first time from the first day of Ramadan. The service enables both male and female pilgrims to exit from Ihram after completing the rituals through cutting their hair at 12 designated locations opposite the Marwa area. Mobile salon units equipped with 112 personnel and fully sterilized tools are available to accommodate an increased number of pilgrims. During the last days of Ramadan, the authority, in cooperation with the relevant agencies, has made available foolproof facilities and meticulous services to enable the huge number of pilgrims and worshipers to perform their rituals in ease and comfort. The authority reported that the number of beneficiaries of the cart services during the 21 days of Ramadan reached 836,574, including 643,364 beneficiaries of the electric golf cart, 168,228 beneficiaries of the advanced paid carts, and 24,982 beneficiaries of the free manual carts.
