On Thursday, the Commander of Libya's Ground Forces under the General Command, Saddam Haftar, held official talks in Rome with Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto to discuss joint efforts in curbing irregular migration and tackling human trafficking networks. The visit took place in Saddam Haftar's capacity as the envoy of Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, head of Libya's eastern-based armed forces. According to a statement issued by the War Information Division of the Libyan General Command, the meeting focused on the growing challenges related to migration across the central Mediterranean and the need for greater cooperation to enhance regional security. Both sides exchanged views on recent developments in the Mediterranean region and stressed the importance of a unified approach to managing migration flows, organized crime, and border security. Saddam Haftar reaffirmed the General Command's interest in building a strong, long-term strategic partnership with Italy that serves the shared interests of both countries. Minister Crosetto expressed appreciation for the role of Libyan armed forces in securing the country's borders and maintaining internal order. Jordanian army shoots down two drones in failed drug smuggling attempt
The Jordanian Southern Military Zone foiled a drug smuggling attempt on its western front this Wednesday morning using two drones. A military source from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) said, 'Border Guard forces in the Southern Military Zone, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle narcotics using two drones that tried to cross the border.' He explained that the rules of engagement were applied after the drones were detected and tracked, and they were dealt with and brought down inside Jordanian territory. The seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities. The source affirmed that the JAF remain fully committed to utilizing all their capabilities and maintaining the highest levels of readiness and vigilance to firmly confront anyone who attempts to compromise the nation's security or target its resources, and to prevent any drug smuggling attempts across the border in order to safeguard Jordan's security and stability.

Jordan Armed Forces Open Recruitment for High School Graduates The General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army / Directorate of Personnel Affairs / Military Recruitment Center has announced the opening of recruitment for a number of male applicants holding a passing General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi) in the Scientific or Literary streams, for the position of Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC), under specific conditions. اضافة اعلان Application Process: Interested individuals must apply online through the official website of the Directorate of Personnel Affairs / Military Recruitment Center: The application portal will be activated free of charge starting at 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 1, 2025, and will remain open until the evening of Sunday, June 15, 2025. Applicants who meet the requirements will be contacted via SMS, either through the website or to the phone number they provided in their application. Eligibility Criteria: Nationality: Must be Jordanian. Age: Must be at least 18 years old, born no earlier than January 1, 1995. Education: Must hold a passing Tawjihi certificate in either the Scientific or Literary stream, with a minimum average of 65% and a score of at least 70% in English.
