Fortnite brings back Street Fighter skins: Chun-Li, Ryu, Cammy and more characters to return after 3 years
Fortnite is bringing back its iconic Street Fighter crossover skins after years of anticipation and countless fan requests. The update, confirmed via Fortnite's official X account, will see the return of popular characters like Ryu, Chun-Li and Cammy starting June 20, 2025. The crossover, which originally launched in stages throughout 2021 and 2022, had disappeared from the in-game Item Shop in August 2022. Its absence only fueled demand, especially for the highly coveted Chun-Li skin, which became a cult favorite among Fortnite players and streamers alike. According to Epic Games, the Street Fighter skins will be available in Fortnite's Item Shop starting June 20. The in-game shop refreshes daily at 0:00 UTC, and while the return has been confirmed, there is no word yet on how long the skins will remain available this time. Each character comes as part of a themed bundle, including outfits, back blings, pickaxes, emotes and gliders. The full set features six returning fighters: Ryu, Chun-Li, Cammy, Guile, Sakura and Blanka. While Epic Games has not officially revealed updated prices for this relaunch, past bundles were priced at around 2,200 V-Bucks each. Individual outfits typically cost 1,600 V-Bucks, with each bundle offering two fighters, two emotes, a loading screen, and cosmetic gear. With the comeback confirmed, fans are expected to rush to the shop for a chance to grab these rare legacy skins. The skins return to the Item Shop on June 20, 2025. Ryu, Chun-Li, Cammy, Guile, Sakura and Blanka are included in the bundle. Based on previous launches, expect bundles at 2,200 V-Bucks and individual skins at 1,600 V-Bucks. Official pricing is yet to be confirmed.

Once you do that, you will see a Live icon in the Google app on Android and iOS as well. You can tap on this icon to start conversing with Search and the AI-generated model will respond to any of your queries. And just like Gemini Live, you can continue the conversation without using any wake word to trigger the AI assistant and have follow-up queries for Search AI. And yes, you can get a transcript of the chat you have with Search Live so that you can go back and check the history in case ever needed. Samsung is likely to launch its first Android XR headset soon and here is everything we know about it
Samsung's first Android XR headset might finally be close to its official debut. After months of appearances at different events, leaks and teaser videos, a new report out of South Korea suggests that Samsung will unveil the headset — currently codenamed Project Moohan — on September 29 in its home country. If this report is accurate, the headset will go on sale in South Korea on October 13, with a global rollout expected to follow soon after. Of course, Samsung hasn't confirmed any of this just will be Samsung's first Extended Reality (XR) headset, and it's being developed in partnership with Google. The headset will run Android XR, a version of Android built specifically for mixed-reality devices. Android XR is the result of a joint effort between Samsung and Google, much like their collaboration on recent versions of Wear OS for smartwatches. The new platform is also expected to come with built-in Gemini AI, giving users access to smart tools and contextual information right inside their headset. For example, imagine using Google Maps in a 3D interface or receiving AI-generated assistance while navigating or working in the hood, the headset will be powered by Qualcomm's XR2+ Gen 2 chip, which is reportedly built on Samsung's own 4nm process. This should help deliver smooth performance along with balanced power efficiency, both of which are key for wearable Even though it hasn't launched yet, the headset has been seen in public a few times. Samsung showed off early prototypes earlier this year at MWC 2024 and the Galaxy S25 launch, and is expected to tease it once again during its July Unpacked event alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip for features, the device is said to support both mixed reality and full virtual reality experiences. Google Adds Button to Generate Error-Laden AI Podcast About Your Search Results Instead of Just Reading Them Like a Functioning Member of Society
Google has released a baffling new AI feature that turns your web search into a podcast. Why anybody would want to enable the feature is unclear. Why be plagued by misleading and hallucinated AI Overviews search results when you can have a robotic voice read them out loud instead? Have we really lost the ability as a species to parse written information, nevermind original sources? The opt-in feature — which currently lives inside Google's experimental "Labs" section and has to be manually turned on — harnesses the power of the company's Gemini AI model to turn a search query into "quick, conversational audio overviews." According to the tech giant, an "audio overview can help you get a lay of the land, offering a convenient, hands-free way to absorb information whether you're multitasking or simply prefer an audio experience." But is this anything anybody really asked for? Having two fake podcast hosts rant about a subject you're researching — likely with a smattering of hallucinations — sounds like an incredibly counterintuitive and needlessly obtuse way to get quick access to information. The feature first surfaced last year as part of Google's NotebookLM, a note-taking tool that uses AI to help users organize their thoughts and summarize notes. An "Audio Overviews" feature can then take your notes and turn them into AI-generated podcasts, with often unintentionally hilarious results. While AI researchers have gushed over the feature, using it to turn Wikipedia pages into hours-long podcast episodes they allegedly listen to, we still can't shake the feeling that Google may be barking up the wrong tree. Particularly when it comes to search results, where speed has conventionally trumped anything else, turning AI summaries into rambling audio snippets sounds pretty exhausting. Besides, if Google's AI Overviews are anything to go by, the tech's propensity to make up facts is still enormous. The feature has been plaguing users with outright wrong and misleading information for quite some time now, with users desperately reaching out to Reddit to find ways to disable it. It's a sign of the times, with tech companies desperately looking for ways to shoehorn AI into every aspect of our digital lives to justify their enormous investments in the space.
